Looking like NFFC are appealing their points deduction, this does surprise me as I honestly thought a deal had been brokered to prevent an appeal.
I’m glad that’s not the case as I want this to be dragged out for as long as possible to show what a complete joke this has become.
Plus if they appeal and win, assuming we get a further deduction in points we can have further discussions about the complete inconsistency of the rules.

Not won a game since 2023, that doesn't help. We could have been well clear with point deduction (s) causing nothing. As it is Administration looms.

Plenty of time mate win our game in hand on Sat and we go 8 points above the bottom 3 it’s still in our hands.

According to reports this morning Everton attend the second breach of the rules and it will go on for the next three days, finally one way or the other we need this to end good luck to our Lawyers.

According to Sky Sports, Forest also face a second charge as us for breaching the rules.

I just hope that this mini break to Portugal gives the players kick up the ass including the manager aswell we need to pick up points now yes we could potentially be getting docked points but no excuse to still go out on that pitch and give it you're all we win are game in hand and that's big if 8 pount gap on bottom 3 we just need pick up many points between now and end of season so even if we do get point deduction 4bdays after season ends we can breath with relief and not worrying about about results going in our favour.

Agree there Andy mate it’s in our hands hope the Team and manager realise this, would be massive to get an 8 point gap.

Go out to win each game and keep our fingers crossed. What else is there?

Agree0 0Disagree

25 Mar 2024 19:09:03
Exactly JB and we have that game in hand advantage and also a good goal difference and as you say fingers x mate.

{Ed025's Note - the ball is still in our court for me GB, forget about penalties for breaches of PSR mate if we do the business on the pitch we can be safe whatever happens with that malarkey, lets start scoring some goals and picking up some points then we can tell the corrupt powers that be to shove their points deductions up their arses..

25 Mar 2024 19:38:45
Ed 025 great post mate hopefully we can pick up points on are journey starting against Bournemouth.

{Ed025's Note - they are the type of team we have to get points from andy, those in and around us are 6 pointers at this stage...and i believe we can mate..

How I wish I had confidence ed025. Somehow it's been drained from me. I now just expect the worst and hope at the end of the season I'm jumping with joy.

{Ed025's Note - we will be ok you know Nick, things will come out in the wash mate and we will just about manage to survive..

So in total, 5 current or past players on show in the England game last night.
Oh to have all of them playing for us now.
Pickford
Branthwaite
Stones
Gordon
Richarlison.

If we stay up, avoid administration and get taken over. if. We will need to buy/ sell much better, this we all know.
I would like us to get in younger hungry players from the Championship and abroad. However you do need already ready players. I know swap deals rarely happen but one I would propose is - Onana to Arsenal in exchange for Nkeitieh and Smith-Rowe, or one of them and cash to us.

Do I think it will happen- no
Have I heard anything - no
Would I like that - yes.

Agree1 0Disagree

24 Mar 2024 10:13:11
Ironically that's exactly what Barcelona proposed for ONANA this week . If we stay up and we should if we start scoring, you can put your house on the relegated teams trying to sue us . If we go down, we could be replaced by a team that broke the same rules at the same time as us . This season just gets crazier and crazier. 🙄 looking forward maybe teams should forward their books end of every season or financial year and get a credit rating or limit for the coming season would help stop a lot of this nonsense. The big boys would have more to spend of course but that's the way it is . Poorer clubs would have to be more proactive in buying and developing players eg Tim Cahill . Ps anyone caught cooking the books automatically relegated .

It's not nice to see other teams struggle financially due to players and agents etc being mercenaries but with Leicester being charged it did make me laugh as weren't they a club trying to sue us (according to the media) for breaking FFP. A points deduction could cost them the jackpot of being in the prem again. which will screw them over even more so. All I ask is where is it all going to end.

Agree0 0Disagree

22 Mar 2024 07:01:26
I read that any points given to Leicester won't be given this season.

22 Mar 2024 11:01:14
It’s not a time for any gloating regardless of the irony of Leicester who allegedly wanted to sue us.

The situation has become completely untenable for the premier league to continue down this current route.

Someone needs to step up, preferably all members of the premier league, and say enough is enough.

Yes they all voted this in, however that was a number of years back when the situation was different.
There’s been no change to the amount even though we’ve had C.V., a global economic downturn and therefore costs spiralling.

We should have a reset on this, fine those clubs accused, or put transfer bans for 1 window, change the rules in June and have an agreement on points deduction versus severity of overspending so everyone knows the consequences.

Wishful thinking on my behalf I know, but surely something has to give.

{Ed001's Note - they are already planning to change it.}

Agree0 0Disagree

22 Mar 2024 16:23:52
They are planning to change, however my point is they have recognised the current system doesn’t work, therefore they should have held back on all the current points deductions until they had a matrix in place that everyone agreed and understood.
Current situation with different IC’s is that it’s become a lottery.

{Ed001's Note - just like any legal system then. There will never be anything that everyone agrees and understands.}

What happens if 777 fail in their attempt to get the club? Do we rely on other buyers coming in?

20 Mar 2024 12:50:14
I guess so. Would be nice if FM put his hand in his pocket and tidied up the mess he's made, but that won't happen. I guess the eds will advise us.

{Ed001's Note - he can't though to be fair. His money came from Usmanov, now that is frozen he has no money to tidy up any mess.}

According to Forbes he still has 2.4BN USD so he could help out a little. Great life. Buy it, f it, flog it. If he loses £50M it would be like us losing £5. We certainly got a bad draw with him.

Agree1 0Disagree

20 Mar 2024 21:56:18
But how much of that wealth is accessible Nick? You could argue I’m worth a couple of £100ks but I’d have to sell up everything and live in a van. Who knows where his 2.4 billion is tied up? It certainly doesn’t feel like it is at Everton….

Agree1 0Disagree

21 Mar 2024 12:31:01
Good point there BR23. However, accounts are good at shifting money about. It certainly should be with us. Beggars belief what he's done.

{Ed001's Note - you do realise that most of that value will actually be the value of Everton mate. Well maybe not most right now, but it must be a huge slice. The rest of his 'money' would be similarly tied up in assets that Usmanov had transferred to him in order to avoid having them frozen. It will not actually be cash.}

21 Mar 2024 19:45:27
Would you know if there are any genuine interested buyers that we could turn to ed001?

{Ed001's Note - there certainly were others but the finances are now so entangled with 777 I am not sure anyone would be still interested.}

Agree0 0Disagree

22 Mar 2024 21:03:15
It's a bit like one of our politicians over here Ed001. He has a house which would sell for about 25M dollars but is valued at 200M in his reported net worth. Everton are in a financial mess and Moshiri neither has the resources nor the inclination if he did to bail us out, he wants to sell and get as far away from the mess as he can.

{Ed001's Note - let's just hope that someone does bail Everton out soon.}

Agree0 0Disagree

23 Mar 2024 21:11:30
The problem is: I don’t see anyone coming in to sort out the mess. We don’t have any ‘Sir Ratcliffe’ types buy a stake in us.

Saying that, I do remember a rumour back in the 90s that Paul Macartney was a fan… someone get on the blower to him!

Just read that the seats in the new ground situated behind the players dug out are going to cost 50k a season for two. And there's a waiting list. Wow.

Agree0 0Disagree

20 Mar 2024 09:37:44
My gut feeling when reading that was how disgusting it is to price out the average fan but in reality these kinds of seats are the reason we needed a new stadium, the corporate aspect is vital to increase revenue and secure the clubs future.

Agree0 0Disagree

20 Mar 2024 12:51:39
I think for that price you also get the chance to shout abuse at them lol.

Any idea what average match day cost will be?

Hi Ed001, just read your brilliant reply to andyefc123 post, I don't suppose you want to become a member of the disciplinary panel or even better take over from master's at the PL by any chance? On a serious note I think what you have said makes perfect sense just wondering why these so called legal experts along with the PL didn't come up with something like this.

{Ed001's Note - for me they are not interested in forethought. They always react to things after they happen, never spotting potential problems ahead of time. It is a major problem at the FA and Premier League.}
