With the loss of Seamus and Morgan out injured my starting line up for the derby game would be:
Holgate Williams Jags
Kenny. Baines
Davies. Barry. Gana

Depending on how the game pans out we could revert to 4-4-2 with the introduction of either Mirallas or Lookman.

Given our recent form, I'd be interested to see what people think is now our strongest team, including subs. Obviously each game provides a different set of tactics and perhaps formation but where possible I'd like to see us play the 5-2-2-1 formation:

GK: Robles
CB: Mori CB: Williams CB: Holgate
RWB: Coleman LWB: Baines
CM: Davies CM: Gueye/ Schneiderlin
LW: Mirallas ST: Lukaku RW: Barkley

Subs: Stek, Jagielka, McCarthy, Gueye/ Schneiderlin, Lookman, Valencia

Central midfield is the area on the pitch which poses the biggest headache and could easily be rotated.

Thoughts blues?

For me Schneiderlin needs game time and his confidence building, so needs to be played but would offer an opinion that should be against the so-called weaker sides. My Team would be the same as yours but with a mid-field of Davis, Gueye and Barkley with Mirralas through the middle as the 10 just behind Lucky. Also the lad Lookman is a class act but in the end our opinion counts for nothing RK and his staff are paid the big bucks. So far RK has got it spot on.

My team for tomorrow:

4-3-3 formation

Bit concerned with our centrebacks for pace but looks a quality team!

Ok, just looking at yesterday's starting eleven.
Joel would not get in any of the top six sides. No 2.
Holgate, should be getting more game time. Keep.
Williams, age will need replacing end of season.
Funes Mori, not good enough.
Baines, see Williams.
Barkley, still think he's one of our best so must keep.
Davies, bright future just needs to develop now. Keep.
Barry, see Williams.
Coleman, simple make captain, must keep.
Valencia, sorry not good enough.
Lukaku, got to keep despite his attitude.
Jagielka, see Williams.
Oviedo, sorry injuries have taken their toll.
Cleverly, not good enough.
Mirallas, to inconsistent need more.
Deulofeu, see Mirallas.
Kone, who?
So out of yesterday's squad I see five who I would like to see here next season. Now I know it's not as simple as that, but I think it highlights the task that Koeman has ahead of him. So beggars belief that people are asking for him to be replaced.
If he turns this squad around in two years then the guy deserves a bloody medal.

Right lads we all feel changes are needed to the starting 11 so let's have your team for Utd. I would go 4-4-2
Coleman, Mori, Holgate, Baines
Bolasie, Davies, Gana, Del Boy
Lukaku, Calvert-Lewin

Gana showed glimpses driving forward against Saints and can pass so he can be the carrier and Davies the sitter in the middle as our midfield is bypassedfor to easily and needs to change.

Maybe its time to change system and personell.

So just out of interest, who would you like to see sign for us over the next couple of windows? Probably best to be a bit realistic as I have more chance of beating Conor McGregor in a fight than we have of signing Messi and Bale. These are the positions I think we need:

GK, Cover RB, LB, CB, CM, RW/ LW, CAM, ST.

I'm sure there will be mixed responses to this. How does everyone feel about the state of the squad? For me, it's easier to group the players into 3 categories:

a) players that we need to keep, either because they are currently indispensable or because of great potential

b) players that we are indifferent as to whether they remain or leave, and may be unconvincing but have the potential to be useful

c) players that are simply not good enough and need to be moved on

My list is as follows:

a) Lukaku, Barkley, Bolasie, Davies, Gueye, Barry (1 year deal) , Coleman, Baines, Holgate, Galloway.

b) Stekelenburg, Robles, Pennington, Browning, Jagielka, Mori, Williams, Besic, McCarthy, Deulofeu, Lennon, Mirallas.

c) Oviedo, Gibson, Cleverly, McGeady, McAleny, Kone, Niasse.

Therefore, over the course of the next 2 transfer windows I think we need:

GK with quality
RB cover
LB to challenge and eventually replace Baines
CB with experience and quality
CM who can be a long term replacement for Barry
CAM who can challenge and/ or develop Barkley
RW or LW who scores goals as well as assists
ST with quality to challenge Lukaku.
