Depay joins Lyon 21 mill, hope we make a statement of intent as to our direction, 1 good result dosnt make us the team we want to be, and the back room rumours don't make good reading

{Ed002's Note - A "statement of intent" to whom? And what would this "statement of intent" mean - are you expecting clubs to be concerned?}

Reports state there was a buy back clause for Utd.
Is there any wonder we dropped out

{Ed025's Note - they dont want him back lance, thats why they insisted on cash and not a loan to buy mate..

Just because we have a few bob doesn't mean we have a bottomless pit of money, still have to be smart with the money, maybe we have better options for half the price. I've spoken to a United fan who thinks he's crap so not overly worried about this one.

{Ed025's Note - me neither gibbo..

They have put all kinds of clauses in the move if he becomes the player they thought he was going to be they can buy him back now wonder we ran a mile I am happy we got Schniederlin he's a good player there's better out there than Depay not a great loss if I am honest.

A statement of intent would be winning football games not signing players for large sums of money more than they are worth or we can afford.

Depay isn't the answer in my opinion.

I'm not sure what fans would expect as a statement of intent. I'm very happy with where we are heading, got a young talent in got a proven mid in. I would keep robles as 10 clean sheets in 21 games is a superb stat.

we have a decent defence with Holgate coming through so let's see where that goes and we have young Davies coming through in mid along with gueye back next month and macarthy back from injury we should be fine. we have lots of wingers so that's fine.

the only position he looks like wanting to strengthen is up front, if he does, great, if not I will support Valencia. it's looking good the key work now is consistency.
