Just read that Milan are in talks with Barcelona to sign Deulofeu. I assume they are expecting Barcelona to exercise their buy back option but I thought that option also included a clause that they had to keep him for 12 months before selling him to any one else? now its quite possible I might have dreamed that last bit does anyone know anything about this?

If you dreamt it Al so did I. I think that is the case.

Would imagine they can buy him, loan him to Milan for 12 months with a deal at the end of the loan. Barcelona can make a few million and Milan save a bit. Agents and clubs can get round any clause these days.

I think If he goes back he can't be sold or loaned for a season. He has to be in the first team scenario at Barcelona.

Bobby Brown shoes mentioned this a few weeks ago, fair play Martinez made it clear to insert a buy back clause and to include if bought back he cannot be sold on until the following year, as far as I am aware he cannot be loaned out, he has to remain with Barca
for a season.

Actually I did a google search and they were direct quotes from Martinez apparently if Barcelona buy him back we will be due 12 mill (euros) and they have to have him in their first team squad for 12 months before they can resell him other wise we are due a big percentage of any fee they recieve for him. not a bad deal if true but RM did live in fantasy land so who knows.

Surely Milan have to deal with Everton as the player Ian contracted to us regardless of the buyback option? Surely the buyback option is if a club wants to but him Barcelona have the choice to buy him first, if they don't want too then we are free to negotiate with the prospective buyer. I don't know the ons and outs but I just think from the way it is worded this would be the case.

According to the agreement, Barcelona cannot re-sign Deulofeu in the January transfer window and, if they decide to activate the clause, cannot sell him on until he has spent at least a season in their first-team squad.

Everton had first right of refusal if the Catalan club decided to sell him and would receive a percentage of any fee if he was sold to another club, Martinez said.

Good deal if true as he is surplus to requirements at Everton, yet both AC and Juve want him in Italy so both is and Barcelona can reach an agreement whereas we both make a bit of dosh.
