Currently have Tarks, Keane, Branthwaite, Godfrey and Holgate. Unless we sell, CBs are absolutely not a priority. Still need a striker and we’re short of wide forwards, especially with McNeil and Danjuma out.

Let’s be honest. Maguire is better than most of our defenders and we are in short supply.

You don’t get an £80m transfer to United if you’re not a player. He was solid at Leicester, he’s a rock for England and a much needed leader.

This would be a great move I think.

Yes he has a blunder in him, the pressures of playing for United at the top of the table are completely different to playing at Everton.

We are a fighting team, this is the sort of player we will try to bring into our club.

MKBlue2 the more reason for him not to come here, we have enough blunders. Now if Keane went the other way, that I could understand. If it's Branthwaite someone needs to give their head a wobble.

Maguire lacks concentration. Every mistake leading to a goal is down to him. Multiple mistakes already and it's only pre season. There are far better defenders out there, on much lesser wages that are waiting to be unearthed. If we are going to accept blunders then throw Reece Welch in and let him learn his trade. He's more composed on the ball than maguire anyway.
