Seeing all the banter with Tommy Irish Red made me laugh. I thought I would share a bit of info with you all and him if he is still interested in our site. I live down in Devon now, so getting to games is both difficult and expensive. Having said that, I went to the Lille games this season home and away. Anyway, down here in Devon, we have a high proportion of what you might call ex-pats. ie people in similar situations to my own. moving away from the Liverpool area in order for work/job reasons. The majority of these people tend to be Evertonians although it could be as close as 50:50. However, the majority of shirts you see down here are Liverpool FC shirts. They usually appear on a Sunday or after a Champions League game. If you listen to the people wearing them, they can be Devonians, Geordies, Cockneys etc. The few Blue shirts you see tend to be worn by the ex-pats or are children of people who moved down for work from Liverpool in the 70's or 80's. Today I was in a supermarket where "every little helps" and heard a Geordie and a Cockney talking about how bad it was that only "rubbish Ballotelli" had been brought in and the manager was at fault etc. Neither had Red shirts on. In fact I have not seen a Red shirt all this week for some strange reason? I can't put my finger on it, but perhaps the "crowing" is beginning to wear thin when you are losing games?

Supporters from other countries are needed more and more now with the ffp rules, spend what you earn yes I seen some banter slagging of tommy for supporting his team cause he is Irish but before sky TV launched the Irish had a big love of the English game they travelled in there hundreds every week to see there team play, imagine walking into a certain pub in Dublin and telling them there not real Evertonians haha you would not walk out.The point I'm trying to make is Everton and Liverpool will always have that support from across the water, I find it really offensive when people tell someone just cause your not from the country or city you should not support that team, remember the Irish have been supporting there clubs just as long as the people of the city of Liverpool every game at Goodison I nearly always see an Irish flag and to be honest it makes me smile.

{Ed025's Note - stef is also short for steven...dont be sexist.. :)

Sorry did I miss something? Since when is suggesting that you should support your local club racially abusive? Oh yes sorry its standard kopite behaviour to play the victim.
I agree with stef to a degree but as tommy quite rightly put it, its banter and if you can't stand the heat well stay out the kitchen. So stay on the lfc page discussing the rodgers out kenny in, really its like an episode of life on mars over there.

There's nothing anyone on here can say on here that I can't take doesn't mean it's right though don't you have Irish neverton fans you should respect there is at least 2 I know here in my town. shakey stevens said I must be a glory Hunter supporting an English team

{Ed007's Note - It's not racist in the slightest and you saying it is diminishes how serious racism is. Accusing someone of racism is a serious allegation and if it was racist the post wouldn't have been put up. Stop looking for things to be offended by, if you're a grown man it's actually quite pathetic. Any more of this nonsense and I'll remove you from the Everton forum.}

I have two half cast nephews who I love like my own kids so for you to sugest thatis bonkers mate I understand clubs have fans from other countrys but in my mind if people like a sport then. We should give our suppirt and money to local teams that's all it has nothin at all to do with race and if anyobe was offendedthen I think they are really small minded

Whoa whoa whoa a minute. Please re-read my original post at the top of this group of posts. Nowhere was I being racist. Nor was I suggesting that people can only support their local team. In fact I now don't support my local team. This posting was aimed at having a little dig at the reds who choose to wear their replica shirts only after a win or on the day of Champions League football. Ok I mentioned that most are not from Liverpool. That is just a fact. Read into it what you will. I never once mentioned Ireland nor the Irish. In fact it was an Irish family that set me on the way to supporting the Blues. So I am happy to share my support with the Irish in particular. My main dig was at the Sky pub supporters with all the replica shirts, hats, coats etc who have never and will never actually go to a game. Yes most down here are not from Liverpool, but that's just part of it. The main point was that our Red neighbours do have a tendancy to shout/crow at the top of their voices, then go quiet when things are not going their way. That's my point and no where am I racist. just red-ist!

I never said you are anyone was racist Degs in fact I apologise, I just get a little pissed of now and again when digs are thrown at supporters from outside the city.

8.) 26 Nov 2014
There was no suggestion of u being racist degsy it was just tommy playing the kopite victim card as per usual.

9.) 27 Nov 2014
I know boys. Thanks for the support though. I just thought my original post was being dragged to mean something that was not intended. No worries. The racist thing always gets used when someone is losing an argument and they have no other card to play.
