Ross Barkley supposedly stalling on a new contract

good. get rid. how many times can one player give the ball away in each game, every game.
Clearly not a No. 10, he may be better playing in a deeper position but we have McCarthy and Besic for that.
Sell him and buy a creative No.10 who can pass the ball to another Everton player.

Could not disagree more Paul. What you need to remember that Ross is a young lad, who for most of the season has been carrying not only the burden of expectation but also a poor team on his shoulders. Him and Lukaku are solely relied on for creativity in the team, and between them they have scored roughly 2/ 3 of our total goals this season.

His return of (roughly) 13 goals and 8 assists is good for a bottom half team, which unfortunately is what we are this season.

Is it any wonder he is stalling on a new contract when he's getting this kind of criticism. I've always thought of us Evertonians as better than Kopites. They always spit their dummies out, protests etc, while we remain respectful and dignified. Apparently we are just as bad as them.

Take away the goals and assists of Ross and we would be in more of a rut than we currently are don't you think Paul? He is one of the few that drives forward in games but yes he does have his weaknesses. He just needs better guidance on the field from his manager.
Can't be nice being a local lad, playing for the team he supports, and taking the brunt of the fans anger. The vid of him and Jags illustrates how the fans can have a negative affect, he hears boos and automatically thinks it's for him. Whether we like the manager or not, we should still support the players when they cross that line.

I really hope Ross stays at Everton . I think we the fans are being a bit to quick to criticise the lad if we see are selfs at footballing people surely we can see that this lad is the future of this club . He could soon be are only England international at the club if stones moves on jags retires baines not in contention it will be his face selling the Everton brand. Its also important to realise this lads one of our own its important that the best scouse footballers come through their local academies and make there first teams as we have always tried to do (Ball Jeffers osman Rooney Hibbert ) although this time we don't have to sell the Crown Jewels to stay afloat. I would be gutted if we loose stones and lukaku who I think will both get offered new terms but would be devastated if we lost Ross his stats this year stil stack up and with better instruction from a new manager and fresh players around him he will push on even further sometimes us blues should be carefull what we whish for.

Looking at the lad through blinkers. He has one of his best seasons ever, the stats don't lie. Roberto has them doing mostly ball work so inevitably the fitness will drop off a bit. Something has to give so maybe what some are seeing as laziness is actually being knackered. Delboy is also a good player but does not track back but he doesn't get half the criticism. Likewise Lukaku, he plays on his own up front against top of their profession defenders, he is going to get knackered as well. Some of the criticism has to be put into perspective.

Ross is feeling the "Booooos"
You happy now?
Hope it's just a manager problem but let's face it, you 2 bobbers who boo him because he can't be the catalyst in a bad team should be ashamed.

What next?
Kieron dowell diesnt score a hatrick on his debut so he's rubbish?
We all want RM gone but we need to make sure our expectancy meets the confidence of these young players
How old's Ross again?!

The ones supporting Ross well done. I put up here the other ay about how his contribution this season has been the greatest by a midfielder since the 80's. 12 goals and 10 assists in total this season.

Some people just don't realise what he has done. As for booing him? It just doesn't make sense.

I personally think Barkley is being made the scapegoat for some of our problems, our midfield is painfully slow at moving the ball, barry and Mcarthy are that pedestrian in possession that it slows our whole tempo down, Ross need the ball 0layed into him fast, the football needs to be fast, but I am afraid the main culprit is James Mcarthy .

{Ed025's Note - the main culprit is bobby danny, he plays two defensive mids even at home and asks the players to play tippy tappy rubbish and thats where the problem lies for me mate..

Barkleys biggest problem is when he drops back to get the ball it's 10 yards inside his own half so he, s got 60 odd yard to try n drive the ball forward. its not his fault its the to defensive midfielders rm plays with so ross is knackered by the 70 minute mark all because McCarthy or Barry won't pass the ball forward 15/ 20 yards.

Totally agree ed that's why Bobby frustrates me so much, he has a total football philosophy that he's trying to shape on xavi, iniesta and busquets but tries to do this with Barry, macca and cleverly who is more suited to a moyes style of play!

{Ed025's Note - your right longy..
