If Koeman wants Lee to be involved then he will be. It's not the first time we nearly had him as a coach. After Irvine left and Moyes needed a number 2 then Lee was almost in.

He was at all the home games around this time and has always been a regular visitor to Goodison. He just loves football and being involved in any way. Regardless of what we like to think there has always been 'connections' and friendships between the two clubs. If he does come back to Merseyside in Blue then may it prove to be the best period of his life because we'll all be happy.

Why wouldn't Lee come to Goodison? The Anfield connection? Hickson, Morrisey, Sheedy, Ablett, Beardsley, Harper, Johnson. All came directly from across the park. If Lee gets no guarantee of a place in a 'new setup' at Southampton the prospect of a 3yr deal at Goodison will appeal regardless of previous affiliations.

Sammy Lee, apart from with southampton obviously hasn't stepped foot inside anfield for years after a bust up with Dalglish apparently. Wouldn't give a toss if Koeman wanted to bring him with him. It's not like he was playing for us is it?
