What is it with everyone wanting gylfi? Personally think he's bang average and anything above £20 million is a disgrace!

All that money for a set piece taker! That's all he is, an average footballer who can pick out all 6ft6 of llorente or Mawson when there's a dead ball! And even that is only occasionally.

9 goals from 116 shots and 6 of them were set pieces, and only 12 clear chances created by him from open play all season while averaging less than 1 interception per game, all in all no where near even a 20 million midfielder never mind 50 million! Clearly shows he can't create from open play or press from the front, you know the two main things we are trying to change!

Will be gutted personally if we get him.

cmrob you are welcome to your opinion mate, I have no idea if you go to the game (s) but Sigurson is well up there with the best at dead ball delivery.

Look at his stats over the last 3 seasons they are pretty consistent, the swans were mediocre last season an set up to score from set pieces/ crosses the guy is very good at what he does. If we get another striker that scores from crosses/ corners then we will have two very good alternative options during difficult matches. This is one for RK to decide how much he wants him.

Pickford picked the ball out of the net more times that he'd have liked last season too. Didn't stop us paying £30million though. Stop analysing players from struggling teams and leave it to the men who know what they are looking for.

Pretty sure Walsh and Koeman have this covered.

Personally rather keep Barkley than pay £50m for Sigurdson, apart from set pieces don't think he can do what Ross can . I think Ross could be a great player now we've got better attacking players to share his burden and take the pressure off him which some so called evertonians love to put him under! The lads a scouser and a blue!

{Ed025's Note - that cuts no ice these days im afraid preki, its a dog eat dog world now in professional sport and im afraid thats just the way it is, dont be painting him as saint ross though as he is the main part of the problem, he was offered an amazing deal on fantastic money and chose to refuse it because of nothing more than greed, also his personal life has been clashing with his work and koeman has laid the law down so instead of sorting himself out he has sulked like a little kid, he has also been advised poorly by his agents who are looking for a quick buck but he cant see it, i believe he will leave and i wish the guy well christ im from the same area as him wavertree, i hope he gets a decent club and revives his career, i just dont see it as being at everton mate..

Agree ed, he's been a bit ungrateful if you ask me, maybe the reason he wants to leave is that he can't deal with Liverpool life as a local lad, who knows? Where do you drink ed? Been living in Wavertree for a while, prob crossed paths a few times haha.

{Ed025's Note - i bevvy up in woolton now oli as i moved to gateacre a few years back, i still go down to the cock and bottle and chillies now and again though, it was brilliant on the high street years ago but not so good now mate..
