The interesting squad list will be for the Europa League group stage matches.
The UEFA rules are different, as they split homegrown players into club-trained and association-trained depending on how many years a player has spent before reaching the age of 21 at Everton or at another English (or Welsh) club.
There are rules for how many non-homegrown, association-trained, and club-trained players are allowed/ required in a 25-man squad.
Also, players under-21 who haven't yet been at Everton for two years (e. g. Calvert-Lewin, Lookman, Vlaśić) would have to be included in the main 25-man squad (known as section "List A") to be eligible for Europa League matches, while the other under-21 players (e. g. Davies, Holgate, Kenny, etc. ) would be allowed on the "List B" section. Unlike List A, under-21 players can be added to List B as the need arises.
LIst A can be adjusted -, within limits - after the January transfer window. i. e. after the group stage and before the knockout rounds.
