I have to say I had a lump in my throat today after naisse scored his 2 goals and saved us, that man has been thrown to the lions, he's kept his head down and worked hard to get his chance, half the team who don't get play every game sulk and want to leave, the bloke should be a mentor for every player wearing the blue shirt, no body has the right just to walk in to our beloved team, you earn it like he has, I just hope RK now gives him the chance to flourish.

He did save our bacon today but his first touch is still woeful and he can't trap a bag of cement but at least he knows where the goal is. and at this moment we need someone like that.

I know another player like that. scored the winner today at Southampton ( I'm not suggesting the two players in question are equals) . would also like to point out niasse's control for the goal midweek against sunderland.

Jcl1878 we might have a player that will score goals and work hard, not just have a player who stands waiting for a goal to be out on a plate for them, remember he was player of the season in Russia when we bought him, it's a big ask to adapt to living here and playing here, let's just hope he's now found his feet and if can can add 10_ 15 goals this season then we've had a good striker, already scored 3 in 2 games so hopefully when he gets his confidence who knows what he could turn out like.

{Ed025's Note - your right heart, i was a doubting thomas like the rest but give the guy his dues he has stepped up to the plate and is currently doing what all the big name signings have failed to do mate...hit the back of the net..

I don’t see much difference between Lukaku and Niasse apart from Lukaku goals which he was playing every week, Niasse has not had chance yet to stake a claim but I don’t think Koeman can leave him out now 3 goals in 2 games or should I say 3 goals in 40 mins.

{Ed025's Note - he is not the second coming metz, but when we needed a scorer this guy showed what he can bring to the side, drop him at your peril ronnie...the guy just saved your job..

Ed do you think Koeman would have been in trouble if we had lost today?

Got to be honest but I personally don't see it with our board. They let RM stagnate and go backwards for months and only eventually took action because things got too toxic to tolerate anymore.

{Ed025's Note - i do you know CT, maybe not sacked but one whole heap of pressure on him mate..

Blue heart. totally agree. I'm all for him. but just pointing out that a poor first touch does not mean he won't score goals. lukaku can't trap wind but he bangs them in. what was good about today was we actually played 4-4-2. I'd like to see more of that.

Ctoffee I was thinking the same, Niasse treated like vermin by Ron last season and today saved him his job, yet come Thursday and Sunday he will revert back to his square pegs in round holes formation.

I'm not a manager and not pretending to be, but surely you pay nearly £50m for a number 10 so you play him in that position! Surely after how long it took to get that deal done the board are going to be wondering the same as us fans as to why we paid that much for a winger!

I am beginning to doubt Ron and his systems and think he is trying to accommodate 3 number 10's in the same midfield and thus losing any shape. Rooney isn't a striker anymore he is a number 10, Sigs isnta winger he's a number 10 and Klassen he's a number 10, its one out of them 3 please Rom, preferably Sigs and not all 3 with 2 out of position.

I was all for the transition reason for our start at first yet know I'm fully on the managers case for playing too many players out of position to keep them happy at the expense of a balanced side. Sort it out Ron, you won't get lucky every week.

Ed25, you know I have been saying it for a while now about giving Niasse a chance, I got shot down in flames by some for even daring suggesting the guy deserves a chance, remember me saying weeks ago he will score a few for us and then knowing our luck will not sign a contract and leave on a free, no one can judge the guy if he simply has not been given a chance, I am made up for the guy after the way he has been treated by our manager.

{Ed025's Note - im made up for us as well as oumar baz, seems like nice guy as well which helps and everyone loves a rags to riches story mate..

I understand everyone moaning about how koeman treated Niasse but do you really think he came to this conclusion himself on his first day at the club he would of listened to coaches who where already there and took their advice yes he was treated poorly and should of been given a chance but at the same time other staff members must feeling a bit idiotic this morning saying that I won't get too carried away by his 3 goals if he can do it regularly then questions should be asked why everybody at the club thought he was pants.

Everton as we have seen over the last 15 years have a patient board, I do not believe RK is in any trouble whatsoever, he will e given time and funds to rebuild as we all know it is not an instant task.
Niasse has shown a lot of class, remained humble and worked hard with the U23's or on loan last year at hull. He has not sulked, demanded a move but has been outcast by the manager who I fell should show some response tads recent performances, I'm sure the crowds reaction to him yesterday would have given him a massive boost.
Yet again the fearless displays by our youngsters lifted the day for the team and the fans, they will make mistakes but they are worth sticking with!
