Looking back perhaps Moyes was the best since Howard Kendall and maybe just maybe that is as good as we can get. Perhaps Moyes should have accepted that as well. Not advocating bringing him back, (lost his mojo) . Don't honestly know where we go from here, I don't want proven failed Managers, Silva et al! but on the other hand, is there a successful manager out there that would fancy the coaching/ managing challenge that we have become. I couldn't at the moment name one.

I did say would any of those you mention (I agree with all of them except perhaps Howe, A. he doesn't want to leave and B. he would just keep us middle of the table) , come to us.

I think Benitez is as negative as Allardyce and to him we are "a small club". I'm alright thanks.

benitez is more tactically adept than sam and his style is more akin to counter attacking than blockading which is what sam does, the two things are different
anyways
i want a manager with clear potential and backing him through and through for a couple of seasons and go for the long term. someone who has experience as a one club manager, maybe sean dyche, i wonder what he'd do with more talented players in a squad like everton
and i think getting a new director of football is more important, managers can be completely daft at signing new players, howes record isn't particularly good in that regard.

oh and there's a reason real madrid went for rafa benitez and not sam allardyce, before you jump the gun on his time at real being a failure, it really wasn't he wasn't sufficiently backed in the summer, the players were against him as soon as he got in because they didn't really want ancelloti to leave, and real were still 3rd in the table.

I think Benitez is another Moyes and has lost his way Fonseca would be my option if a deal could be struck as I don’t know enough about Gasperini
The area that needs review as well is DOF.
