Hi ed what your opinion i think he good manager not who was my first choice as he doesn't tend to stick around anywe're long but he plays good football. His win percentage is actually 1% better then potch was at Southampton. He feels very much like another martinez way set up his team hoepfully with having experience in prem he won't be as nieve defensively. Think brands is great appointment as he actually is dof and had experience which walsh didn't.

{Ed025's Note - im happy with them 2 bretto, of course we will still get the moaners who think we should get all the top managers falling over themselves to join us but we are in the real world mate..

I'm not saying we can definitely get the top managers in but I'd like to see us try! Are we supposed to just settle for second best?

Bluerobbo, we don't but what we have seen up to this (what appears to me) nicey nicey approach is a let's take the easiest opportunity toward internet Managerial element.

Brands will be identifying the players to play a certain style. A style which Silva will agree with too. What Brands won't do is accept a situation where we are shipping goals. So I don't see an issue with Silvas previous record as he hasn't worked with a DOF at Watford or Hull.
If we are loose at the back, I am sure they will work together to shore things up or bring in a player to shore things up.

Look across the park to a team scoring for fun but leaking goals. A slight change of tact and a quality signing and they are pretty tight at the back now.

I don't know for certain but I'd be surprised if we were interviewing candidates and the press never got a sniff of it. Seems to be very quiet which tells me the decision hads been made.
