Why are some people so desperate to keep Klaassen? I love his attitude, through all the crap he's seemingly been out through, he still wants to put a shift in and succeed at the club, but I don't see what he's actually done in the time he's been given to warrant staying.

Sure this'll get downvoted to hell, but I'd keep Schneiderlein. His lack of effort last season was appalling yes, but there's a player in there.

Hugo I could be wrong but I'm sure one of the eds mentioned how poor him and Sandro had been poorly treated by the club and it's not desperation to keep him it's about giving him a fair chance to show if he can do it remember Klasson was captain of Ajax and also captained of the Netherlands so he isn't a bad player.

So you want to get rid of a player who wants to be here and only got a chance when the whole team was awful at the start of the season, but you want to keep a player who doesn't want to be here an was given a chance pretty much all season an still didn't try or look like he give a sh! t. I used to love schneiderlin but for me he showed his true colours this season. You say thers a player in schneiderlin well there is also a player in klassen an he actually wants to have a go at our club. we need people at this club who actually want to be here and are going to work 100 percent every week, especially this next season coming. The lad was ajax captain at 24 for god sake he can't be that bad.

Let’s be honest though - Sandro went out on loan and didn’t score a single goal. Klasson is as told to go out on loan and refused. If he was setting training alight I’m sure he would get a game so clearly he is not standing out. I’d have the exact same attitude - I’d love to play for EFC. Problem is - I’m crap! Right attitude is one thing - being good enough is another. If Koeman, Silva and Allerdyce don’t think they are good enough from what they see day in day out then really that’s enough.
I.

Spot on Sobs.

TBH I’m more interested in the idea of playing one holding midfielder. That way there’s not the case of one carrying the other. The problem is is that we have 5 of them so something there has to give. Over to you Marco.

That one holding could be Schneids’. Its what he’s best at IF he applies himself!

If we do get that Maddison kid from Norwich then there isn't actually a place in the squad for Klaassen no matter how much he wants to stay, Gylfi and Maddison would be the 2 attacking mids for me.

Klassen was never going to get a game under Allardyce. 2 midfield slots taken up by 2 defensive mids. We even had 3 in one game. I don't necessarily see Klassen just playing a 10 I think he could play deeper in our league.
As for why didn't the others play him. Well Koeman did and when he did he was no worse than everyone else at the time. Unsworth was never going to take a risk on him. For me, circumstances have been his worst enemy.
