any of the Ed's know if Zouma is able to play vs Chelsea?
If not probs a good time for Mina to make first start. I like the look of Mina and Zouma rather than Keane and Mina/ Zouma.

Quality goals on Sat - quality support in stands too

3 huge games coming up. Feel like we need to beat one of Chelsea or Liverpool to keep in touch - with top 6.

Suprised by Chelsea's start - I do think spurs and arsenal will drop points in next few games - if we can close gap a tiny bit before Christmas and add to squad (centre half instead of Keane) I reckon we could be pushing for 5th.

{Ed001's Note - no he can't, Prem rules block loanees from playing against their parent clubs.}

Cheers Ed!

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate. Should be a chance for you all to see Mina. Though I personally think Jagielka would be a better choice.}

Not sure if you really mean that Ed, Jags has been a great servant for Everton but much too slow to play against Chelsea IMHO. Ed. any thoughts on Mina's quality?
Mike.

{Ed001's Note - I meant it, he may be on the way out, but Jags can defend, whereas I have my doubts about Mina. I really do not rate him at all from what I have seen. When your positional sense is so bad that the utterly inept Davinson Sanchez is having to cover for you, then that has to be a worry. He is big, quick and very very good in the air, but he is going to need a hell of a lot of coaching if he is to be in a place to use those qualities to good effect. If he was playing alongside Jagielka, who could then talk him through the game, it would be a lot better. He needs guidance badly. I am not sure if Keane is the man to give him that.

Mind, having said that, for the way Silva wants to play, his ability to attack the ball might make up for his positional sense. He should notch a few and clear away a lot from set pieces, which is something Silva's teams have struggled with in the past.}

May be better Zouma and Mina then. I am aware as ed001 points out of Minas weaknesses and believe some sides took a more pragmatic view than others that perhaps gave more weight into his scoring against England.

Just to add my thoughts on this going forwards I think it has to be mina and Keane personally I think zouma is better than Keane but if there is no chance of signing him then it would be better for next season to play Keane and mina together to build an understanding than mina zouma and start again next season.

{Ed002's Note - Everton have paid a very, very significant fee to have Kurt Zouma on loan and he is the best of the CBs Everton have on the books and they will play him.}

I agree he's the best of the bunch ed is there any chance of it being possible to sign him permanently or would that be no chance.

{Ed002's Note - It would be possible if the player wanted it, if Everton wanted it and at the right price James.}

How does it stand with season long loans Ed, let’s say Everton wanted to strike up a deal in the January window, may be wrong but would Everton be able to buy Zouma if all parties agreed, or do we have to see the season long loan out first.

Logic says we could buy in January, but I do not know the ins and out of season long loan players.

{Ed002's Note - No problem doing that, a loan can be converted to a permanent transfer at any time at all.}
