Disappointed but I guess it shows how far we still have to go.

{Ed025's Note - very much so BigH, we created a few very good chances actually mate but our defending was very naive, you cant let midgets like jesus and sterling have free headers in the box or your asking for trouble, we are on a poor run at the moment but lets stick with the team and hope it improves..

I think Silva has done great so far but I personally feel that individual performances were not helped by the formation, set-up and tactics. We have looked solid with 2 at the back and should have stayed that way imo although I admit not having Gueye probably influenced this decision massively. Plus not having Gueye clearly unbalanced the midfield and shows the true impact and influence from him on Gomez and Siggy. The front 3 have been unbalanced all season. Richarlison let us down today but is still a fantastic addition to the squad. We need a right back which is evident. I believe the 3 at the back naturally encouraged our players to over play at the back. Mina was poor and his mistake was terrible and I dependant of the system but I think Keane and Mina struggled due to the system and of course the quality of city certainly doesn't help haha. Another positive effect from Lookman. I think that we need to show more faith In Lookman and DCL.

You'll get no argument from me Ed. 2 of the smallest players on the pitch given free headers in our box is unforgiveable and shows a lack of understanding by our lot. You can't keep giving away possession and you can't give anyone that much space in and around the box and not expect to get spanked. I love the improvements in the side and it excites me for the future. I just wish they'd cut out the mistakes and start banging in a few more goals.

Strange to say but after 17 games it is as if he (Silva) , is still seeking his best formation. Persisting with Coleman for instance when Kenny and Walcot played well together down that side. We have a big unit in Mina yet the two smallest get headers in. Better football it maybe, the reality is though we have the same points as under Alardyce at this stage. I agree that DCL needs a run and for me go back to a back 4.
