Interesting stat on MOTD last night, Silvas 2017/18 record at this stage with Watford is exactly the same as his 2018/19 record with us only difference is the goal difference.

Top half this season will be fine and progress next season . we need to be patient and stick with the manager no more sacking.

{Ed002's Note - Hourd have stuck with Allardyce then - better results, better targets and no unbalanced side.}

Thing is Ed002, some would rather see pretty tip tap, attack, oh didn't we play well football even when we lost. Even saw a quite ridiculous 'would rather get relegated playing nice football than stay up, playing Alardyce'. Should have seen the blokes contract out and seen where we where. Instead we flaunt rules and regulations to bring in a man with no CV at this level except failure. Football is a results business, finishing high in the prem can earn millions. Under Moyes we won 1-0 many a game, under Kendal we won 1-0 many a game, all with hand to mouth investment. We were a Club hard to beat. That should be the first priority, hard to beat. Sorry for the rant. Frustrated at same mistakes over and over again.

{Ed002's Note - That became clear last week with people saying they love to see the way the team is playing now and would prefer relegation to Sam Allardyce - who of course saved Everton from the threat and gave a good return.}

So you also don't think silver was the right choice? i agree but surely he can't be worse than SAM.

I firmly stand by what I said, however don’t take it out if context.

Let's get Allardyce's reign in perspective. Unsworth won 2, lost 2 and drew 1 in the Premiership taking Everton out of relegation into 13th by finding a way for Rooney and Sigurdson to play in the same team and by getting the team playing with passion for the club. Allardyce's first game was a win against Huddersfield which I'd also credit to Unsworth as it was just a few days after his last game in charge (great win over West Ham) . Then we finished 8th. We are now in 10th just 2 points off 7th and playing way more attractive football with lots of new players settling in and manager trying to work out his best 11 as you'd expect. So, yeah Allardyce did his job however hard it was to watch but I don't get people comparing the current situation negatively with the time under Allardyce. It's a different situation: building rather than just surviving.

{Ed002's Note - Unsworth was nothing to do with it.}
