Got to say I'm somewhere in the middle between ed 2 and pauly
I'll try to explain without annoying either side as appreciate everyone who contributes on here
Hoddle would have been interesting excellent club record and personally think he would have acheiv3d something with England but for that comment

Silva was happy at first starting to wear thin now yes at some point we need to draw a line and settle with a manager for probably 3 seasons to sort it

The squad is clearly still just as unbalanced as previous seasons we have probably a pool of 13 or 14 players to pick a starting 11 from that maintains the same strength in my mind any 2 of the 3 centre backs and Kenny or Coleman or digne or Baines anyone else the quality drops so that's really 7 players not really under threat for there starting place
Right wing is a really ridiculous situation we only have Walcott who at the min is really poor and yet we have 2 players who would on present form deserve a start ahead of him (vlasic and mirrallas) on loan
Zouma is the best centre back at the club and if we could have got him for the loan fee and the price of mina a terrible decision again by the people making the choice
Gomez clearly will have other options clearly from more attractive clubs than what we are at the min let's be honest if Tottenham want him we have no chance he will get to challenge for honours play in what looks like it will be a top top stadium champions league be in London etc or come to us
The difficult 1 for me is I'll be honest I was as anti Sam as anyone and hated watching us last season that today was just as bad but we've since Sam spent a fortune to still be where we were
I don't know the answers wish I did I don't know what we can do I wanted and still want it to work for Silva but am rapidly losing faith and with everything going on we as a club are becoming a laughing stock. I know people will disagree but when u look at the number of people were still paying that aren't at the club are superb ability to pay over the odds and then anyone we are selling we reduce there value so quick the behaviour we adopt the whole club needs a shakedown and clean up from top to bottom and that will be years not months.

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Hoddle. Keep listening to your in the know pauly. Now he has declared Silva a liar one would hope the club will look to move him on as soon as possible.}

Soŕry if it came across wrong only mentioned Hoddle as he was mentioned and personally I rate him highly as a manager and again as all ways ed thanks for taking time to reply and for the insight to the behind the scenes things that I only can wish I had access to as it's all ways interesting and appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - You stick with the in the know who will bring you the latest news. Now he has outed the coach, I have no doubt the club will have to react. Clearly he is better placed than my “utter tripe”.}

Not so much as a Manager but as a person of good football knowledge and contacts is how I rate Hoddle. The man is not right at the moment but we could do far worse (we already have it seems) , than seek his consultation. Can only repeat that to reach the financial and business status of those such as Mr Moshri, it surely takes astute advice and judgement, which makes our continual Team Coach/ Managerial recruitment mistakrs all the more baffling.

James. In the case of Stats we would have been better off letting Alardyce see out his contract. In the case of tactics, formation and style we would have been better off sticking with Martinez. Finally in the case of giving a coach/ manager time we would have been better off asking Moyes to come back.
