Bignev, if you can get another £20 million for a player we’ve not got anymore then I’m all aboard mate. You’d even have Rayola asking for a few tips.

Be interesting to see how he does, but it is a different job to the one he had at Everton. Maybe it will tell us more about Moshiri and how he does things.
I think the problems at Everton are not all down to Walsh, there where many factors.
As you all know I am far from convinced about things going on now at Everton. I need a lot of convincing that we are on the right path to success.

Well DC we've bought some real crackers since Walsh and Allardyce left so your answer is right there.

We could win the league and a cup and you would still be on here giving FM pelters, DC. Name the factors you are talking about if you don't mind. For me, Walsh was never anything more than a chief scout so he was in the wrong position when we took him on. He got his recruitment wrong on many counts and wasted a lot of cash in the process, even you would have to agree that point? The difference in one window for Brand compared with what Walsh brought in is chalk and cheese.
What, if anything, would convince you we are on the right path? What would this move to united really tell us about Moshiri?

Everyone is entitled to post their opinion on here. But here is where mine differs from DC’s. Firstly, we are finally able to spend money. Now it wasn’t long ago that we had to sell one of our best players in Arteta with only Royston Drenthe and Dennis Straquilersie coming in. Hardly convincing business that. Let’s face it, we were selling to pay debt. No other explanation. Secondly we were watching the old lady crumbling around us. Even having to cancel fixtures due to stadium concerns. Now we have a very real process to build an iconic new home that just couldn’t happen before. Now if you are not convinced by these two very real changes in fortune, then you’ve got a tough time ahead of you because we all need something to cling to. If it’s this great club, then we have to identify these positive steps as the sure and only way to finally move ahead and put an end to this 6 team after hours lock in and take our share of success. Farhad Moshiri is a billionaire with a plan. Whilst it’s clear he made a mistake with the DoF he was quick to rectify it which is very obvious to see when you examine the contrasting results of the last 2 summer transfer windows.

Good post blue potato, and you ask what it tells us about Moshiri? It tells me that Walsh should not have been recruited for the job as it was not what he had done at Chelsea and Leicester, he is a chief scout.
Moshiri made a big mistake.
Also a good post Toffee Ace but still a long way to go.

Well I'm at a loss to explain this, DC, but, for once, we both agree! I think the cash got to SW's head and he just splurged it on whoever was offered to him. I think Toff Ace is right though, we have an awful lot to be thankful for in the shape of FM, despite your misgivings about him. We are in the best place we have been for a decade or two, players of a better calibre and a new stadium on the horizon. I bet even you will be happy when that comes off mate :)

HEY DC U SAY HE HAS BEEN TAKEN ON IN A DIFFERENT JOB BUT MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT HE IS TO BE TAKEN ON AS D. O. F EXACTLY THE SAME JOB HE WAS HELD WITH USE.

Love it Smit666!
I am wondering if we could persuade Walsh to take Bolasie and Sandro off our hands
If Walsh does take a role at Utd then Allardyce might be the next United manager if things don’t improve for Solskjaer 🤣.
