I can't get over us buying McNeil. I said I'll support him and wait until he's had a proper chance with us but that transfer is burning my head out. We messed up massively getting him. I don't see that changing sorry. Why would you buy McNeil? He is crap. He doesn't improve us. We have just wasted 20m. Truly terrible purchase. We have wasted a large chunk of Richarlison transfer money on McNeil. We are stronger defensively but so much more weakened in attack. Jesus Christ who thought getting McNeil was a good idea. Shocking player.

BT I was on (part of me still is) the same page as you on this one for sure. Tbh though some of it was due to wanting Cornet (I had convinced myself we could get him) and I don’t like wingers who don’t have a turn of pace, never have although I know there are some class ones about. Now to help you through this I think we got him on the drip big time - think 5mil a season for the next 3 seasons, he is also left footed which we desperately needed to balance the squad.
What I don’t agree with is this ‘nodding dog’ mentality of having to like every player and support them regardless. Yes he is wearing a blue shirt and yes he is new but I’ve said it once and I will say it again you have to EARN respect until then mate, best vent your opinions on here where it’s highly doubtful will effect him ??‍♂️.

Sorry folks. just be be clear, I am a ST holder and I won’t verbally slag-off players who wear the blue shirt unless they have done something that really really irates me - one of the last times I did this was when Stones turned to the park end and sarcastically told us to calm down or when Lescott had handed his transfer request in and had that stinker of a game.
I just don’t rate McNeil (I didn’t rate Jags at first or Iwobi) so I’m laying my cards on the table and saying it as it is.
I didn’t rate SA and was almost hysterical when he became our manager, again not at the game just between other Evertonians such as ourselves. I understand if it’s wrong for some but all opinions welcome between us Blues!

Yes he was BT. I posted about my frustration in signing him. Not necessarily frustration with the player but our recruitment. It's clear we need goal and assists. He doesn't get them, so why did we buy him and waste the money on him?

As far as I'm aware paying on the drip doesn't really matter to us, we have cash we just need to comply with FFP and, if I am right, ffp spreads the cost of purchase over the life of the contract.
