Seems severe and very swift, but it is what it is.

If ever they was a season in recent times to withstand a 10pt deduction then it's this season. Let's take it on the chin unless we can prove otherwise and just hope we obtain the PTS to stay up, which I am confident we will.

Also hope the other clubs get treated with the same severity of and when proved, City and Chelsea definitely been up to no good.

Finally can't get Leeds trying to sue us by all accounts, ok Burnley and Leicester as if the deduction came into effort either of the last 2 seasons they would have stayed up, but Leeds in both season wouldn't have got of the bottom 3! Bizarre and desperate by them, probably still sour grapes over Gnonto debacle in summer.

Chins up lads, it could have been worse, least we ain't bottom!

The 'independent' cpmmissions reasoning for the harshness makes no sense either. Only one person to blame for this and all due to lack of football knowledge and trusting so-called friends for advice.

Or we could contest it. Their is absolutely no reason why we should just accept this.

Do agree WB. But just don't see them changing their minds.

You would have mayhem if say we got the 10 PTS back or even less as clubs be arguing they were messed about in belief that 1 week they are not in bottom 3 next they are.

The premier League have messed up and not even priced in our appeal which imagine if we won and forced a team down come May.

Inept throughout football. Is what it is, the supporters statement sums it up especially the view when the 6 tried to destroy English Football for good and got measly fines and not the fans fault mentality.

Same logic not applicable here and we all know why.

Said for years now football is corrupt be it var of FFP and today's outcome only furthers strengthens my beliefs.

{Ed025's Note - im with you Mocker, if there was sanctions it should have been given to the scum bag 6 who tried to destroy the league for greed in forming a super league, your right mate...its corruption..

Ed 25 too bloody true, and international break and this total BS I just smell a massive rat mate.
My bad if I am wrong but I am beside myself with anger .

{Ed025's Note - im disappointed rather than angry GD, that could well change though when we find out the punishments to Chelsea and City mate..

It is what it is.

10 points this season has put us 5 behind Bournemouth and relative safety. We can’t afford any poor games or results now.

If city are found guilty and punished in accordance with the similar ratio to 1 infringement to 10 points, I’d be amazed. Whether anything comes from Chelsea I’d also be surprised.

Thought Carragher’s comment on the big 6 fiasco getting no punishment was interesting. There does seem to be a feeling of corruption around doesn’t there?

Great read this you guys all have great views, this feels like a knee jerk reaction and not thought out, fact that majority are saying its harsh even carrager, which feels odd agreeing with speakes volumes to the disaster that the Premier league has become, they deserve a regulatory body and if this brings it on good.

For what it’s worth, Moshiri has run this club like sh*t from top to bottom for years. Don’t like to speak ill of the dead, but Kenwright was his ‘knowledgeable man’ so they’re both culpable.

Reality is we were bang to rights through years of absolute incompetence. The only surprises were firstly that we were only £20m over the limit and secondly that the penalty seems unduly harsh, especially given administration gets you nine points.

Whichever way you look at it, I think the points deduction is the least of ours worries. 777 Partners look a far bigger problem long term given I’d back us to stay up anyway.
