For all those who thought playing DCL and Beto up front need to think again and that includes Dyche and his coaching team.
Whoever scouted Beto and thought he could cut it in the PL needs showing the door. His stride pattern is that of a marathon runner and hasn't got the change of pace to make any form of impact, apart from that he couldn't trap a bag of cement.
Danjuma should have started or at the very least started the second half supporting DCL.
Despite scoring Jack Harrison doesn't do enough to warrant spending money to sign him, despite a lot of running around his closing down is ineffective. I would have hooked him off and given Dobbin a chance.
Luton are a poor side but today they were better than us which says it all.
Whilst Dyche has done a good job, I wish he and his team could assess the game in real time and make the necessary tactical changes.
Once again Luton had made 4 or 5 substitutions before we decided to make a couple of changes and then imo he took off the wrong players.

I like Beto’s attitude, but he needs to have balls flung at him for weeks straight until he can control a ball.

If football management was easy eh. Don’t think any formation would suit this lot. Though I agree with your assessment of Harrison and Beto (are we really paying 25m for him) ?

Fans were crying out for two up top and Dyche resisted up to today. Now we know why. With a game midweek, I can’t understand why Dobbin didn’t get any minutes.

If Leeds come up then surely his preference is to go back. Get out of the toxicity. Definitely not worth much north of £10m and not very good. Though he does ok considering we've not had a real RW for eons.
Will a transfer ban mean no loans too? I just can't believe the state of the squad and the lack of u23s anywhere near. Possibly the worst game I've seen since I played Sunday league 25 years ago. Maidenhead would have smashed us both.

He's not a right winger, he constantly cuts back on to his left foot, and I can't remember him ever taking a player on.

Beto is definitely not up to it, but DCL isn’t much better. People have talked about him like he’s top drawer for years because of a couple of short purple patches. Hasn’t scored in 15 games and looks like he won’t score for another 15 years.

True WB. The commentators keep saying he’s in a bad patch but maybe this is simply his patch.

Not so much Beto Fancy but 4 4 2, I liked. Dobbin should be given a chance in 4 4 2.
