Not a rumour, just a query. Does anyone know if the £75 Mil INCLUDES £15 Mil in addons, or is it £75 Mil PLUS £15 Mil in addons? BBC Sport saying Includes, other saying with be added on. Guess we'll never know as I'm sure it will be undisclosed when officially released. For me, £60 Mil plus £15 in add ons is a poor deal, but we'll see I guess! What do you think? For me, I hope we get Giroud now, think he would be outstanding for us!

Sky sports are saying plus equalling 90m, most are saying its plus not including so I'd say it's probably a typo on the BBC website.

Who is actually arsed? Its a number that has no relevance whatsoever to us as fans, the only finances at the club that we should worry about are ticket prices, pie prices and better quality lager prices.

3.) 08 Jul 2017 15:07:39
bg87, don't forget the bitter prices we're not all lager drinkers lol.

Let's face facts, Rom is on his toes isn't he? Yes I'll be gutted, but if he wants out then fine, we, as a club, just need to get the best deal possible. For me, anything under £65-70Mil and we'll have been royally mugged off! And it wouldn't be the first time we've sold an asset to cheaply! Now, replacements, it's looking like we're going to get Sandro hopefully, I don't know much about him myself, but I'll take him, then I'd love to see us go for/ get, 2 of; Dolberg, Iheanacho or Batshuayi, that would give us 3 very good and capable strikers, with the likes of Lookman, Mirallas and Calvert-Lewis to back up when required. Lukaku scores goals and we need to replace these! All of those names mentioned are capable of that.

On to Ross. For me, he can go! I honestly believe he thinks he's better than he is! I find him so frustrating to watch, when he has time, he plays it quick, when he needs to play it quick, he puts his foot on it and slows that play down or takes an extra touch! I get he's an Everton lad, however for me, the team would be much better with Klassen or Sigurdsson playing behind either 1 or 2 strikers! Klassen looks an awesome prospect, 24, captaining Ajax and scored 20 goals last season, yes in the Dutch league but that's the kind of return you'd expect from a Scholes or Lampard, I'll have a bit of that please!

It's going to be an interesting summer. We clearly need to replace a lot of the deadwood, I expect Kone, Niasse, Lennon, Delboy, one of the keepers and maybe even Jags to go as well. We need strength and quality.

I'd take Keane in a heartbeat, as well as Van Dyke, and one of Butland, Pickford or Schmeichel to be number 1.

I'm sure there will be a few more surprises on the way but I really would like to see us get business done early rather than waiting until the end of July or August. Come on Everton, please make my summer!

What do you think boys?

To be honest i am sick to death of all this Lukaku business, the sooner its done and dusted the better. Barkley imo is an empty headed fool listening to a greedy leech of an agent. He's never a 100k a week player just bang average for me. So to be offered that amount allegedly by the club you profess to support and love and turn it down he needs to give his head a wobble (remember Franny Jeffers) Its a simple one for me not just with Lukaku and Barkley but for any player at the club if they don't want to play for Everton then do one.

Wishful thinking but we can all wish!

Can I just ask why the club are so appalling at updating the fans?!?
If Lukaku has rejected a new contract, why not just come out and say that, even if it's then "we're continuing negotiations"?!?
It seems crazy to me that sites like the BBC can report things before we can get them on our official website.
The fans are the lifeblood of any club, keep them in the loop!
On Lukaku, he's been a great servant to the club, you can't blame him for wanting to better himself. Yes we might have European football next season, but let's face it it won't be Champions League, which is where he wants to play. If he leaves I'll wish him the best, as long as the club get a fair price for him and he doesn't throw his toys out of the pram, it's then down to the club to replace him. I'd take Mandzukic from Juve in a heartbeat!
If Rom goes we still need another striker as well as a replacement and I trust RK and SW to spend the money wisely on any players we bring in.
I still have a feeling Rom will sign, let's just hope the club don't give in easily and put a silly release clause in like 25-35Mil, he's worth a MINIMUM of 60 Mil in today's market!
That's my 2pence worth anyway ;)

You are presuming that the media reports are correct they may just be bull. Would you expect the club to respond to every report about every player in the media? Don't read to much into what the media say then you won't worry about something that may not be true.

Just want to put in my views in relation to recent weeks.
I hope people read this and see it for what it is, because in the main part, it's about a certain Ross Barkley.

I think Barkley divides opinions massively, he's a bit like marmite, Evertonians either love him or hate him, for me, I think there's no doubting his talent, however last season, and for some of this, he has looked completely off the pace, it's like he lacks confidence, he seems so slow on the ball, the amount of times we've broke and attacked and he just seems to hold the ball instead of making that quick pass, is unbelievable, I find watching him so frustrating sometimes.

I think we, as in Everton, both last season, and this, haven't helped him, by that I mean we should have signed someone to support him, rotate him with, learn from, someone like Mata or Yarmalenko. He needs support.

I look at our last 3 games and RK just seems worried to leave him out. Sunderland 1st half we were dire, RK takes Barkley off at half time and second half we looked better, quicker, more direct. I honestly thought RK would leave him out, then we played Norwich, and I know we rested key players, but we never looked like scoring.

Okay, league cup game, I was as annoyed as anyone else because i'm desperate for silverwear, but it's not the end of the world and by no means am I blaming Barkley for the loss, but it wasn't good was it.

Then we go to Bournemouth, I was convinced Barkley would be left out, he wasn't, we lost, and again I'm not blaming Barkley, but I honestly believe he needs dropping, let Delboy play in the hole, and give Barkley some rest, let him get a fire in his belly again, bring him on for the last 10/ 15 minutes to make an impact and gain some confidence, then start playing him every week again, I think he needs to know he's not untouchable in my opinion!

The boy has talent, but for me he's not forfilling the prospects he once showed and something needs to change in relation to him.

Best post for a while ASM84 can't argue with any of that.

2.) 26 Sep 2016 18:34:50
He looks a little heavy to me. Some people in particular men, no matter how fit they are still have difficulty controlling their weight. The problem then is exacerbated by the intensity of training needed and the difficulty in sustaining it. With his undoubted talent and if I am right about weight then the solution would be to adapt his play to sustain over 90 minutes or only play him part of a game.

{Ed025's Note - or to shed a few pounds and get incredibly fit...now i will probably be accused of being overweightist or picking on him.. :)

3.) 26 Sep 2016 21:18:16
Nah Ed, you miss the point. I am 66 now and still doing the same exercises (no boast just fact) after 24 years in the military and 20 years working with them as a Civilian Physical Training Instructor, in all that time I have had problems with my weight and despite obvious fitness (incredible or otherwise) it continues.

{Ed025's Note - i cant say i know a lot about it BCT so i will take your word for it mate..

4.) 27 Sep 2016 07:58:43
Rumour has it Ed . . when you first heard the expression 'pie in the sky' you tried to join the Paratroop regiment 😋.

{Ed025's Note - i do like my grub 247 but i am not overweight, im under height actually...i should be 14ft 7in for my weight mate.. :)

5.) 27 Sep 2016 08:55:31
Asm84 fair assessment that. Can't really argue with it. Barkley seems learner and fitter this season to me bct. Maybe I'm missing something but I'd bet he lost weight from last May / June.

6.) 27 Sep 2016 09:17:53
Guys should we not trust the manager here, he works with the players every day and sees the effort in training, Barkley did create a good chance had it gone in it would be an assist and we would all be shouting great ball! I believe he has to stick with him as he can't see an alternative in the system he plays, this again is compounded by our inability to bring in another player in this position to create competition.
Lets face it we have had a great start, the new lads have added much to our thin squad but it is obvious we still need more and that takes time and patience.

7.) 27 Sep 2016 09:40:43
I think your clutching at straws with Ross being over weight. Unless of course you know his fitness stats. I am pretty sure he could if he wanted to run for 90 mins non stop. I would also expect his conditioning to enable him to do so quite easily if he wanted too. Maybe he just doesn't want too or feels that its not the best way to play? I'm not trying to second guess why he is not but I can't actually remember him ever doing so. He may have to adapt under RK though as I think he prefers a more dynamic approach from his players.

8.) 27 Sep 2016 09:54:01
''patience. ''

The 'magic word' Wakka!

9.) 27 Sep 2016 15:09:05
We Evertonians are the eternal underdogs without patience we have nothing blue!

Martinez has just been given the Belgium job!
Who the hell is his agent? we need to sign him up!
I'm crying, I actually can't believe it!

Neither can Martinez. He thought he applied for the Hull job.

Away kit is revealed on the 10th July mate. Have a look at the official twitter account, there is a preview on there, guessing from that it could be grey!

On his day Delboy will rip anyone apart mate. I still think he is a great young defender and could be brilliant for us!
Just watching the game, Stones has done very well, Lukaku looks like he can't be arsed! One thing for sure, if he stays then the gaffer needs to have a strong word!

Ha. Nothing against Hull, just hoping he fancies taking him with him, he really is useless isn't he!
I just want us to kick on a bit, I had so much optimism for this summer and it's just depressing! : (
