As the Belew fight is being shown live world wide, what are the chances we unveil our manager, on Sunday at Goodison.

1.) 26 May 2016 21:44:36
Never happen in a million years. would you really take the focus away from Tony fighting.

{Ed025's Note - knowing tony well i think he would be made up dentie..

2.) 26 May 2016 23:12:09
Well I stand corrected ed. just he has his dream of fighting at goodison come true. if I could be there I would to cheer him on. if we would unveil our new manager at that time, it would be when Tony is receiving his championship belt for knocking his opponent clean out. COYB. (that's also, Come On You Bomber)

{Ed025's Note - love it dentie..

Leicester City have had a whip round and are planning on flying a plane over Goodison this Saturday, with a banner pleading for Martinez not to be sacked, until after we play them.

1.) 24 Apr 2016 22:09:55
Quality what company chartered the flight easy jet or easy bet.

24 Apr 2016 15:54:44
Rumour here in the North West is, there was a meeting in a hotel in Haydock and Martinez has been sacked, do not shoot the messenger but seems there was definitely a meeting this afternoon.

As he is getting no game time at Chelsea could be worth having a sniff at Michy Batshuayi instead of Gabiadini, could cost a little more, but a much better player.

13 Dec 2016 02:44:36
I think Everton need to get back to basics, we are making the game so complicated with formations, get back to 4-4-2, each player with a task, defend, play the ball forward, attack.

A good three minutes our sub spends listening to our managers notes, do this, do that, move here, run there.

These players are professionals, work on a system in training and don't change it after 10 minutes, half the players have not got a clue when we keep changing from this to that every 5 minutes.

It's not rocket science, stop over complicating and keep it simple.

1.) 13 Dec 2016 07:17:38
They call it old School Baz, I call it realism. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I do agree with you in short but to take a more pragmatic view, don't we have to adapt to the other Teams tactics. Our last Manager was very bad at this, at least Koeman tries to respond. Hopefully now that he has settled in, his long term view has now become far more solidified with changes possible in January.

2.) 13 Dec 2016 21:46:55
Kendalll always said let the other team worry about us, let them make the changes to try and out think us, changing your style against other teams is strengthening their chances and weakening yours, roll your sleeves up, put the other team on the Blackfoot, sitting back you will eventually get caught out, best means of defence is attack.

2 strikers tonight and we get a result, marking 2 strikers creates space for our flanks.

Job done, well done Everton, same again next game please Ronnie, 2 strikers.

{Ed025's Note - amen to that baz..

26 Oct 2016 12:29:41
How about a poll Ed Rooney back yes or no?

{Ed033's Note -

Rooney Back poll.

1.) 26 Oct 2016 18:24:58
Can't believe the majority are saying yes! We'd have to pay him a fortune and as a result would have to make him a starter. He's not a striker any more but I wouldn't want him as a number 10 either because he comes too deep. Waste of a significant amount of money for me.

2.) 26 Oct 2016 23:38:06
I for one wanted Rooney back, but that was 5 years ago, things have changed a little and to have him back in his current form would be a poor investment sadly .

3.) 27 Oct 2016 00:56:53
Sort of on the fence on this one as probably a lot of Evertonians. WindsorBlue's comments are true but on the other hand Rooney may be the catalyst to better times, especially if other top players see the fact that he played for us as an incentive to also join. Regardless of the team that Rooney joins United will likely have to eat some of his present contract. I can't see any other club in the UK paying him the same amount as United.

4.) 27 Oct 2016 18:54:20
There's are arguments for and against. He would be a fantastic role model for young players to aspire to an be a great presence in the dressing room, but I wouldn't want to lose out on other signings financially because of what Utd would demand in a fee or because of his wages. Those are essentially off the pitch" reasons.

On the pitch, what would he offer? He's slow and therefore doesn't fit the pressing game RK is developing, plus he comes back to collect the ball so wouldn't provide the support RM needs in the centre of the pitch to play number 10.

I'm not saying I wouldn't want him back at all because I think there could be major benefits, I just wouldn't want it to be for sentimental reasons to the detriment of the team in the medium to long term.

17 Oct 2016 20:14:51
Everton under 23,3 leading Reading 3-2 at half time, Niassee hatrick for Everton.

1.) 17 Oct 2016 20:25:18
Updated score 5-2 Everton, Dowell and Calvert-Lewin on the scoresheet and this from being 2 nil down.

2.) 17 Oct 2016 20:44:33
Updated score Everton 6 Reading 2 with 9 mins remaining, Dowell Calvert-Lewin and Liam Walsh. Scorers.

3.) 17 Oct 2016 21:09:13
Not sure why but i still think there's a player hiding in niasse. Hopefully he keeps his head down and works his socks off and maybe he might br able to salvage his everton career. let's be honest if he makes the 1st team bench and comes on to score he will soon be forgiven.

{Ed025's Note - hmmm

4.) 17 Oct 2016 22:03:15
I believe Niasse got a locker tonight instead of the match ball.

{Ed025's Note - good stuff baz..

5.) 17 Oct 2016 23:00:37
He's been banging them in for fun in the U23s. I try not to go overboard but maybe he's worth a place on the bench. If he was a young scouser we would be calling for him to be given a chance in the first team squad. He can't be much more ineffective than Kone and Valencia.

Realistically I think I'm being blinded because I love an underdog. Imagine him coming off the bench to score the winner in a big match. What a story it would be!

6.) 18 Oct 2016 00:19:08
There are two sides to every story, Niasse has made his public with an interview last week, it would be interesting if the club had something to say on the matter. For the record, and on face value from what he says, it is a bit naughty that he hadn't been allocated a locker within the U23's set up. That said, RK has tried to ship him out but the player didn't want to leave.
This suggests, to me anyway, that the lad is quite confident, that he believes he may be able to change the mind of his new manager. One thing we have always liked at EFC is a hard working, honest pro. If they give their all for 90 minutes then they will get our support. But the burning question is has he got the ability to turn this situation around? His stint in Russia tells us that there is a player in there somewhere but that league isn't the highest standard. Likewise, the U23 league isn't a true test of a player. From what I've seen of him in our first team, he seemed a bit lost on the pitch.
The best solution would be for him to keep his head down, his mouth shut and to bang in the goals in our second string until the next window. I'd loan him out to either a prem team (if any would take him) or a championship side near the top (if possible) and then see where the land lies come the summer. Either way, I hope he gets the football he craves whether it is with us or someone else, it doesn't do either him or us any good to see him languishing in the reserves when he is probably on a good whack every week.

7.) 18 Oct 2016 04:43:12
Forgiven for what? The guys hasn't done any thing could have moved in the summer but wanted to stay n fight obviously feels he can offer something and now that his confidence is getting back he is maybe what we need in a option in attack.

8.) 18 Oct 2016 07:06:37
The fella didn't want to leave and wants to prove he can cut it in the best league in the world in his opinion. He has certainly knuckled down and got on with it for the second string, but, Ronny clearly doesn't like him for one reason or another and I feel this may not be rectified and he will look to ship him out again in January. If Kone is getting on the bench ahead of you then that just proves that you aren't in the managers plans regardless of how many goals you score for the U23's.

9.) 18 Oct 2016 11:42:34
If you've been told you have to leave to play football what reason would make you stay? He should have left and there is no way back for him. 5 goals in the U23's is not going to change things.

The fact he was arrested for assault at his hotel at 1am and the club condemning it probably tells you what you want to know. His Everton career is over.

It paints a picture that his character may not be right for Everton and may have a very poor attitude off the pitch. A staged interview with a paper to have a go at the club probably just keeps painting that picture.

10.) 18 Oct 2016 13:27:46
Like blue tommy said he can't do any worse than 2 goals a year kone give um a chance. Rom maybe doesn't like um cause he felt he was coming in to take his job? Don't get me wrong, I love big rom when he's interested. there's not a striker in the league that comes near himl but when he's not he's a big lazy person. he needs competition.

11.) 18 Oct 2016 15:32:29
I hadn't realised Kone had scored that many! Wow shows what I know!

12.) 19 Oct 2016 13:17:03
And to be fair to Niasse. a contract is a 2 way thing. He signed it. but so did Everton Football Club. So he has every right to stay and try and change the manager's mind. If that causes Everton Football Club a problem, he has the right to say exactly the opposite to what Koeman is saying. ie I will stay and take the wages and try to get back in the coach's plans. Like some others, I love an underdog and would just love him to fight his way back. Can't see it though. The player I have seen is League 1 at best.

23 Sep 2016 16:34:57
As one of Ross Barkleys biggest defenders, I found myself tearing my hair out at Goodison last Tuesday, Everytime he tried something, I clapped the guy, tried to cheer the guy on, there is only so much you can give as a fan.

At times it seemed like he didn't want the ball, a short pass played to Ross went straight back to the same player only two feet away, he would then get it back and again play the short pass back to the same player, on a number of occasions he played the final pass to an oppornant instead of a team mate, I am not talking about a 30 yard pass on a sixpence, but a matter of a couple of yards.

Time and again he turned down a shooting chance unopposed, taking a touch, or trying to find a team mate.

This is not a dig at Ross, it's stating what most Evertonians already knows, where he is going wrong, he has the talent, he needs to believe in himself, have a go, and the fans will back him all the way.

{Ed025's Note - i would love him to come good baz but he needs to man up for his own sake mate, when things are not going well for him he seems to sulk and go into his shell which is doing him no favours at all..

1.) 23 Sep 2016 16:48:50
I like that post Baz, stikes a few chords so to speak mate!

2.) 23 Sep 2016 17:41:22
My post above Baz proves that no matter what he does Everton fans do not like him. Every bad pass is booed and the abuse is a disgrace.

I've said before for his own career he needs to out. I don't think there is any person in any job that gets constant abuse does their best work.

3.) 23 Sep 2016 18:10:52
I know it is slightly different, but when Rooney got ridiculous abuse when he came back to Everton, he didn't sulk or not want the ball, it spurned him on and he upped his game, granted not his own supporters, but Barkly has to step up, not go in hiding if some get on his back, he needs to prove those boo boys wrong, that is the sort of player we want, a fighter who's not afraid to try anything, but as someone else said, he needs to man up, look at the likes of Rooney, Gerrard, even Duncan Ferguson, everyone of them got far more abuse and boos than Barkley, what did they do, threw it right down the boo boys throat.

{Ed025's Note - totally agree baz..

4.) 23 Sep 2016 20:30:24
He proved them wrong last season. Are you saying he needs to get 24 goals and 22 assists?

So many players were poor last year. Lukaku didn't score in the last 10 games and treats the club and fans with disrespect but the fans still love and can't see fault. Its crazy!

5.) 23 Sep 2016 21:46:04
That's totally it BlueJohnUns. Ed025 you say he gets preferential treatment because he's home grown. I actually think he gets more abuse because of it. He cares more than other players and I guess so called supporters know that so see him as an easy target.

{Ed025's Note - thats one way of looking as it i suppose NBTB, im not sure it makes that much difference myself mate..

I would just pay the amount, Jose is still smarting from the tough stance on Stones, if we want him just pay it, there's not a chance Jose will take a penny less.

{Ed002's Note - It really doesn't work like that.}

I said when we appointed Koeman he is a very fortunate manager, he joined when we got investment, he also came when we have probably our best crop of youngsters for a long time, he will get money to spend, it will take time but he has everything in his favour, if he as good as we think he will be then everyone's a winner.

I do not agree with Ron saying Stek is our number one keeper, Robles has come in twice this season and done a decent job, this time Rom has to stick with Robles in goal and not drop him until a dip in form.

{Ed025's Note - i must say that i prefer joel to stek as well baz, but ronnie has done nothing for me to doubt his wisdom yet mate..

Thought he would have learned after his team change selection against Norwich in the cup but nope, yet again changed a winning team.

At least Moyes took a penknife to games, this clown is taking pipe, slippers and oveltine.

I've seen more action in a nuns crutch than what half this shower is putting in.
