Atsu deal done confirmed on his own Twitter account - nothing from club yet though

BebingtonBlue

1.) Nice to read something football related on his twitter feed. States successful medical. Haven't seen much of him but a mate who is a fair judge rates him.

It was only on talksh**e so not exactly 100% reliable but just heard an interview with Ian atkins, everton's head of recruitment and he stated "romelu is settled in his head that he wants to come back and help us kick on next season" I would say make of that what you will,, but there is only 1 way to take that in my opinion!

BebingtonBlue

1.) 27 Jul 2014 13:53:35
"Help us kick on next season" could it be a loan deal again?

09 Jul 2014 21:37:30
Local media outlets in elche, Spain are claiming everton have agreed a fee with elche for Colombian midfielder Carlos Sanchez apparently 2m euros

BebingtonBlue

1.) We can def do better than him. Some players have impressed for Colombia in this wc but not him.

2.) 09 Jul 2014 21:56:53
Hope not, gives fouls away like there is no tomorrow

3.) Was he the guy with the afro?

4.) One of them yes. Cuadrado was the other

Eto'o. Is. Class. That is all.

BebingtonBlue

1.) 26 Oct 2014 15:28:41
Agreed. If you'd have said to me 5 years ago that Samuel Eto'o was playing at Goodison I'd have been made up because it would have meant we were playing in the CL. Never thought I'd see him wearing the famous Royal Blue of Everton. He brings a whole new dimension to our play and seems so humble and genuinely excited to be at Everton.

Better performance and result today - welcome back Ross and Seamus. Also to Swan (I think) McCarthy last ditch tackle when their player was through on goal typifies what he does he allows baines and Coleman the freedom to bomb on

BebingtonBlue

Spot on OP,

The reports will call this an easy win. I'd say it was more like a well played result.

I have kept my counsel so far this season and like most of you the manner in which we faded badly and conceded 2 soft goals in the dying minutes is a concern. But let's get it right 2 or 3 seasons ago that result would've had us feeling good about the games ahead which is a testament to how far we have come under bobby. Next up Chelsea at home the game that kick started our campaign last season. Plenty of reasons to be positive, not least the form of Steven Naismith who has made himself into a key player for us through sheer hard work and 'wanting it'

BebingtonBlue

1.) Good post mate.

Not a rumour as it is literally just my own thought but I have a sneaking suspicion that today's matchgoers may be treated to the unveiling of Christian Atsu

BebingtonBlue

1.) 03 Aug 2014 15:02:05
dont think he will mate, it will mean overshadowing Ossies testimonial, today is all about him

2.) Doubt they'd do anything to overshadow Lukaku

3.) I'm here now mate and there's no whisper at all so don't get your hopes up. Hope you're right though.

I think Mr. Kenwright has emphatically provided the answer to the "where's the Arteta money, Bill?" question, don't you?

BebingtonBlue

1.) Hear, hear Bebbington.

But worry not, the whingers and doomsayers will be back shortly this time focussing on the ground situation.

{Ed025's Note - some people do like a good moan mate..

Probably Viktor Fischer highly rated one of those players on football manager (like Lucas Ocampos) that becomes a world beater - if he does come expect it to be a loan maybe with a view to a permanent deal

To be fair swan rumour killer O'Keeffe as he is often known when he worked at the Freshfield dog shelter he used to watch 101 Dalmatians every night. Just to break it to them gently.

Hehe thanks ed! Maybe with the extra time bobby had on his hands with his Fifa ban he was keeping tabs on this great site?! (and before anyone says anything I know it would be the academy staff that would suggest it)

Funny if it's true as I posted it would be beneficial to do this last week!

BebingtonBlue

{Ed025's Note - you did mate..well done..

I have read the whole sentence and it is contradictory. If you are giving an English lesson you would do well to do so correctly, by putting when and not if you have by implication, said we are signing Tello, therefore our question is perfectly valid

BebingtonBlue

{Ed002's Note - Idiot. You have to be some sort of half-wit if you think there is anything contradictory in that sentence.}

Shakey top post mate - I agree sure bobby picks the team and tactics but as premier league players they should see that if it's not working change it in the pitch like a quarterback in American football does if he sees something in the defence that he thinks the play called by the coach won't work he can change the play the players HAVE to also take responsibility too

Talking of chutzpah should the players especially the senior ones also be carrying some of the blame if they can see bobby's tactics aren't working shouldn't they change it themselves on the field? For example in American football if the quarterback gets to the line of scrimmage and sees something he doesn't like with the play that has been called he will call an audible and change the play surely with the experience in our team we have players that can do the same? Or are they content not to take responsibility and let bobby carry the can?

Mcgeady no threat going forward against Chelsea? An assist to Naismith the pass that released Coleman for the assist to mirallas and the corner for the disallowed goal - I would say that was a pretty potent threat wouldn't you?

Perhaps its a sign bobby will use young Tyias Browning instead of Duffy?

Martinez has said he wants 1 Ms and 3 attackers, he has also previously talked about strengthening the squad and at the start of the summer he only mentioned 2 players by name - Gareth Barry and Romelu Lukaku - I'm pretty sure he must be confident of getting them both if mentioning targets by name - he would look silly if we didnt
