One of the lads in work his dad is a close friend of Joe harts dad and he reckons that he has said his son is joining us but on loan for a season at first.

I've heard whispers of the loan too. Would prefer it that way if I'm honest. Good keeper, yes. Better than we already have, definitely. 20 million and 200k a week. Certainly not. And don't have a go at me 'concerned' about the money. It's in the Everton blood.

Talking to a good friend of Ross Barkley got a few interesting stories! First one pretty irrelevant now but interesting, the city game at Goodson when they needed to win or the reds was in pole position apparently the only 2 players who wanted to win the game was Ross and Coleman everybody else wanted to lose especially Baines and Jagielka, this led to murder in the dressing room and Coleman close to wanting out. Last bit the apparent rumours are true about Samuel eto'o causing trouble however he was not alone! Apparently Samuel and sylvan Distin where causing rifts in the dressing room with Distin constantly saying that a move is what was best for Ross and Coleman, especially colemans links with Manchester United, hence distins absence from the side and the reason being an "argument" with Martinez. Was also strong links with Distin leaving in the January window however nothing come about. that's all folks :)

That was an interesting read but I just can't see so many players wanting to lose when Champions League football was so close. Plus some of the players you claim didn't want to win were on loan and probably would have been interested in moving to Liverpool if the right offer had come about! Not every player who pulls on a blue jersey hates the reds just ask Nick Barmby and Abel Xavier!

Any comments on Ross Barkleys performance so far this year?
{Ed025's Note - he has been poor for me mick, the lad has great ability there is no doubt, but potential can only take you so far in this game, and at 21 needs to step up to the plate mate..

I feel sorry for the lad its not his fault the media and the fans have built him up so much. he's never compared himself to ballack or gazza or made himself out to be a world beater. he's got good ability, a good attitude and more importantly he's a toffee imo we should be giving the lad more support

A flaw in his game which suprisingly I didny mention in my rants below is that he doesn't get tight and press the opposition. He keeps about 5 yards away but let's them turn, go past him or pass it around him and he just let's it happen. When on the ball he likes keeping it for as long as possible but doesn't actually try and win it back, he liked having the ball but doesn't like winning it, which is why naisy is boss

Tbh I probably agree with u lemur/swan but those are all things that can be sorted out with the correct coaching. The qualities that barkley already posseses though can not be taught youv either got it or u haven't and he has!
7.) There is no doubt the lad has ability and he is a true blue which is always a good thing. But he has been very poor this season, although injury and being played out of position does not help.
I wonder how much of his lackluster performances are down to el Bob's continual insistence to massage the lads ego? "phenomenal unique talent, the new Ballack" etc. etc. Praise the lad when he plays well of course but don't over do it.
I remember watching an interview with Big Joe before the World Cup, he said in his opinion Ross was a good talent and prospect, but shouldn't be picked for the WC Squad on the basis of one season as he needed another season or two in order to develop. Seems he got it right.

8.) Totally agree wedge! Martinez is silly for comparing him to such players its just setting him up to fall and I think the reason the media are billing him so much is because there looking for the next rooney. Like I say I feel sorry for him the lad just wants to play and do well for everton but he has all this to deal with aswell

Hello lads, could anybody shed abit of light on the "Kone" situation? I'm struggling to understand how Bryan Oviedo can suffer a double leg break and be back in the side before him?
1.) Leg brakes generally can be easier to mend than ligaments, although at the moment I diubt he would even make a difference may aswell give the 6mil (plus wages) to that messanger on 300 and kicked it down the hole

Good evening lads, anybody got any news on Wilfred Bony's situation? Not heard much about him in the papers or on the net? Bony and Rom leading the line next season?
1.) He's staying at Swansea by all accounts Mick. A RS friend of mine who is quite well connected says Liverpool we're very interested in him and were given permission. They spoke to the player and after Ayres picked himself up off the floor after hearing his wage demands he was politely told thanks but no thanks.

Hello there lads/ladies, just a little something I need to get off my chest. Is it only me who is now starting to get reaaaaalllllyyyyyy pissed off with our lack off action in the transfer market, I'm sick to death of the same old b******* year in year out "we was waiting for the right man"
"The players weren't available" when on the other hand you have the likes off a rubbishhouse club like Newcastle signing french internationals and that shower of rubbish from over the park tipping £100 million in spending, the money is there to be spent so for god sake get your hand in your pocket, or on the first home game of the season you might be swing a little bit more off me than what you all expected.

Talented young forward by the sounds of things, but surely our focus at this moment in time has got to be on the first team squad? We NEED to get a couple of new faces into the team as early as possible so we can hit the ground running. I fully believe bobby will sort it out but it is frustrating to see teams around us and below spending all sorts and where stagnant! Anyways COYB!
