A lot of rumours that brahimi is on merseysidr having a medical. I've learned to take these things with a pinch of salt can anybody actually confirm this or it it a load of bs.

Everton bid 18 mil for bolassie Palace holding out for 30 mil and so they should! Now we've gone in with a low bid other teams will know what the asking price is and get in before us. This stinks of bill kenwrights transfer tactics to me. I've tried very hard to stay positive but I have had enough now this is becoming a joke!

Isn't that how negotiations start? You make a bid, the other team either take it or tell you how much he's worth to them so you haggle some more until you reach an agreement. Nothing to freak out about.

2.) 08 Aug 2016 20:38:11
He's the kind of player we can currently attract and would improve us, I say pay up. We could hold out attempting to bring in unrealistic signings and by the time we realise they're not interested he could be gone.

3.) 08 Aug 2016 20:40:11
They are not amateurs. I'm sure they anticipated this happening and there is one reason or another about how or why they are going about it in such a way.

They know what they are at.

4.) 08 Aug 2016 21:04:52
No money just promises not kept Johnson part 2.

5.) 08 Aug 2016 21:06:04
Don't believe everything u read in the papers.

6.) 08 Aug 2016 21:20:46
Just a tad quick on your judgement there Mal1966. Hasn't been a competitive game played yet under new owner and your writing him off already. Doomed before he even starts eh?

I'm very happy with his first 2 signings of Koeman and Walsh. That's more than Johnson done and we haven't even played yet.

7.) 08 Aug 2016 21:47:38
Cant cross a ball to save his life.

8.) 08 Aug 2016 22:06:12
Nbtb Think most of this stems from lack of activity in transfer market especially when other teams strengthing around us but the performances in the pre season friendly haven't helped to they seem to come up with more questions than answers but agree the 2 signings look good the gk is defiantly an upgrade on Robles and gueye look really good had lots of energy and passes the ball forward unlike McCarthy.

9.) 08 Aug 2016 22:20:23
God are all our fans living in the real world its not going to happen over night or in a few weeks this is going to be a big job let's just get behind the team and the manager .

10.) 08 Aug 2016 22:38:49
Yes spud this is how our negotiations work but do u see any of this happen with any of the big clubs no u don't it is handled properly.

11.) 08 Aug 2016 23:22:26
Exactly how I see it konehead. Forget who mentioned the microwave generation we have now! Thought it was a good to reference to how some supporters expect football to be nowadays.

12.) 08 Aug 2016 23:24:27
Actually Browner big clubs do negotiate in a similar way. Take Chelsea last summer starting with £20million for Stones. Another two bids came and they still failed. If we put in another two bids for let's say Williams from Swansea but like us don't want to sell. Then it ain't happening. Not the clubs fault really is it.

13.) 08 Aug 2016 22:45:20
Konehead right leave it to big Ronnie k wish it was Ronnie kray though 😉.

14.) 08 Aug 2016 23:52:44
I would sell Stones for cash and get Boney and Nasri on loans with options to buy but what do I know!

15.) 09 Aug 2016 00:32:09
Totally agree with Konehead, people ask what i want for next season and answer is to actually enjoy going the game as last year was one of worst i have known. let's be realistic and begin the building (sensibly) of a PROPER football club.

16.) 09 Aug 2016 00:38:52
Nasri? Ha! Pep Guardiola won't even let him train with the first team, he's so overweight

He's gotten shall we say 'a little rotund'

17.) 09 Aug 2016 06:42:17
The position we are in now we ant afford to be haggling with clubs all the best transfers this window became apparent when the deal was nearly over the line yes ok Chelsea with stones last year I'll give u that.

18.) 09 Aug 2016 07:32:11
Yes Browner, I have seen other clubs doing much the same. Chelsea and City have been negotiating to try and sign Rom and Stones from us all summer. They value our players at one price whereas we value them at a higher price, pretty much the same as with Palace and Bolasie to be honest mate.

{Ed002's Note - They have not been negotiating with Everton all summer - nothing like it.}

19.) 09 Aug 2016 08:56:22
Maybe not Chelsea with Rom then ed, just seen Chelsea have not made a bid as yet. But we have been lead to believe that City have been in talks over Stones since England crashed out of the Euro's.

{Ed002's Note - Not that long. The first approach was about 2 weeks ago - even though it had been known it would happen for many months.}

New owner new manager things are about to happen. Nah same old Everton build u up to let u down. Laughing stock of the league again. Let's be honest we are looking at 8th placed finish at best.

Browner-1878

{Ed025's Note - god give me strength..

1.) 31 Aug 2016 23:11:29
Sorry eds just sick of Us being the joke. I think the board have a lot to answer for here.

{Ed002's Note - You have Ed025 a long term fan who is experienced enough to know that there are not overnight changes. I have tried to get you all to see the reasonable balance between what can be expected and what can be achieved. Try and skip out of the overnight change paradigm.}

Should have been signed weeks ago.

Whatever happened to the good old
Days when you picked the echo up, looked at the back page and said "ey look Everton have signed a new player" all this speculation is messing with my head now I feel like banning myself off the internet until September.

Browner-1878

1.) 23 Aug 2016 08:20:48
Totally agree. I'm as guilty as anyone looking online several times a day but I do think it's a change in culture that has made many blues impatient and frustrated.

2.) 23 Aug 2016 10:20:48
I go on holiday on Thursday, bad planning as its over deadline day! The wife will be dumped for Jim White 😂.

13 Aug 2016 10:00:46
Normally I don't think the first game of the season is very important but this year I think it is. If we manage to win and get some good signings in before the next game I can see us winning a lot of points in the first 6 or 7 games whilst playing some very beatable teams. If we lose badly it could take a long time to recover. Either way it feels good to be getting up and ready to go and see the old lady again. Up the toffees!

It just goes to show how little anybody knows about transfers. Papers and sky all reported we had a ten mil bid rejected then we were going back in with 12 mil what happens? We sign him for 9.

Browner-1878

{Ed001's Note - I did tell you the issue was not the price. It all came down to whether Williams wanted the move or not. If he did, Swansea would let him go as a thank you for his service over the years. They were happy to keep him but also happy to allow him the chance to get the final big payday for his career. Swans left it totally in his hands to decide.}

Fact of the matter is players will chose teams that are in c league over us and so they should! It shows that they are motivated by football reasons and not just the money. If it was Stoke or west ham I'd be worried but I say good luck to the lad, hopefully we get a few decent faces in and maybe in a couple of years they will be choosing us for the same reasons.

Today will be the difference between challenging for European places/ challenging for trophies or hovering around mid table. We still need a couple of quality players.

If we are going to spend that much on a keeper then why not bid for butland he could be our number 1 for 15 years! And he's already better than hart.

Browner-1878

{Ed002's Note - Butland is of no interest to Everton and has signed a new contract. He is not for sale.}

Begovic won't happen due to bad relations between clubs.
