I've heard a rumour that Jimmy Mac is off to United for £23m. This has came from a good friend of James himself. I personally pray that this is wrong but we will see. I think this has been done to help with fund the Lukaku move.

Please don't shoot the messanger, I hope Ed will back me up that I don't spread lies on here purposely.

Everton Al

{Ed025's Note - i know you dont AL, i just hope the info is wrong mate..

1.) 01 Aug 2014 20:05:04
I hope i'm wrong to Ed. He's a top class player and he's young too. If we can keep Jimmy that would be a fantastic spine to build a team around. Coleman, Stones, Bryan, Besic, Barkley, McCarthy, Lukaku. These are all players we use now and that's not including the under 21s. I pray i'm wrong.

{Ed025's Note - so do i AL..

2.) 01 Aug 2014 20:16:43
This rumour does seem to be gathering pace and I hope to high heaven it's a load of rubbish. However, if it's true and JMc wants to go rather than us forcing him then get it over with asap to allow us time to get a replacement in. We just don't need another deadline day drama with the player forcing a move and leaving us up the proverbial creek without a paddle.
If it is true then I'm sure Bobby has something in mind and we may be pleasantly surprised.

3.) He's worth a lot more than 23m look at what Southampton are getting for there players reject anything less than 35m

{Ed025's Note - if they paid £27.5 for fellaini...then why not..

4.) £23M cheap. Whelan will probably have a slice of that too.

{Ed025's Note - did you know he broke his leg at wembley tedster?...but he does,nt like talking about it..

5.) He's just signed an improvement to his contract, hope this is wrong

6.) Versus Wolves I think. Unfortunately I was alive too when it happened 1960?

7.) He is going nowehere, unless man u offer silly money which would start at £35m

8.) Apparently McCarthy to United is getting more and more likely. Player plus cash deal is Evertons preferred, Cleverly is almost certain to be involved. Heard a few (vague tbh) rumours of Fellaini coming back the other way, not sure that would be popular!

{Ed025's Note - im not having it at all..

9.) Nor can I Ed, as I say very vague whispers!

10.) 01 Aug 2014 22:35:17
Hope this isn't true after the lukuau deal because I reckon jimmy mac is going to be one hell of a player but maybe these krammer rumours aren't so far of the mark after all

11.) 02 Aug 2014 00:22:07
i doubt this is true, rm rates him very highly, he had one season at us so united would have to pay stupid money and he is very happy here and loyal to rm, the media always have united signing ou players. baines, barkley, colman if I remember right, I just take I as a complement now

12.) I don't see the point in signing Lukaku for 28 million and selling easily our best player from last season. If were to go forward as a club and push on we need to keep hold of these players, but if we're turning down offers for stones, surely McCarthy is more important? Keeping the core from last season and building is priority! Anyway whatever bobby does in bobby we trust. EFC

13.) Vidal 's agent has just confirm Juve leaving but not sure destination. Probably Manu bring Vidal over there. No point Jimmy will be his back up.

14.) Lets face it this is the usual load of rubbish spouted by S*y and all its buddies. Face it why would we sell our best player last season after making a statement of intent in signing Lukaku just a day before. Not going to happen.

15.) Spot on jamie wright! Hopefully it is just a load of rubbish, COYB

16.) I can't see this happening, this has all come from that interview he done. If it did happen though I'd be furious. Buy Lukaku then see what's arguably our best player.

Hi Girls and Guys.

Just a very quick heads up. I have been to our company St George's Day 'party/PR' today with a number of our customers and clientele. I got talking to a gentleman who does a lot of work with both Everton in the Community and Liverpool Foundation and he told me some very interesting things. He has been to a number of meetings about a new stadium for Everton on Walton Hall Park. He said that it has been given the go ahead by the relivent parties and will be released to the press in the next few months. He said he has no idea who is funding the project but it looks like it will be going ahead. His female colleague left our party early to go to Liverpool FC as they are announcing tomorrow that they intend on building a 100 bedroom hotel behind one of the stands (I like he said the Kop but I could be wrong) and a new row of shops and coffee shops down the Centenary Stand. He said that this will be released tomorrow.

Now, I assure you that I don't come on here with knowingly false information and I hope Ed can back me up on this, I am simply passing on the information I have heard. I guess we will find out if this is true if the Liverpool story is true.

Fingers crossed hey!

Everton Al.

PS. I would rather not say who my source is as I'm not sure if this information could jeopardise my sources position. I appreciate that this is easy to say/fake but I give you my word that I am only passing on the information I have been told and believe to be true.

Everton Al

{Ed025's Note - i trust you al..thanks for sharing mate..

1.) It may be true, as Liverpool have just announced that they are planning to expand Anfield.

2.) 23 Apr 2014 20:23:46
Nice one or that Al, guessing we will find out tomorrow mate.

3.) Everton al u mite be right bud Liverpool have announced an expansion to anfield with more details to follow. So you might be right about new stadium hope your right

4.) Fingers crossed hey lads. I'd love a new Stadium and I think Walton Hall Park would be a great site to do it on. It could also be the next step our great clubs need.

Everton Al.

5.) 23 Apr 2014 21:05:49
I'd love for everton to get this new stadium, this would send us to the next level and have profits with the stadium and not losing money. A question that I'd like to be responded is if this new stadium is built, what capacity would it be and if Everton could fill 55.000-60.000 in the stadium. Just asking! Thank you to all of you! COYB & CL football next season!

{Ed025's Note - it would have to be 55,000 OFM, we might not fill to capacity for a lot of games, but hopefully the bigger ones, and european nights would be rammed, i would expect it also to be used as a venue for concerts, boxing etc which would encourage sponsorship hopefully mate..

6.) 23 Apr 2014 21:31:48
Thanks Ed! I think It would be great if we could fill in 55.000 and about 50.000 (?) at games against mid table teams, but to be honest, a 60.000 capacity stadium would be world class to fill that even if its against the top 6 teams in the league and europe football games!

7.) 23 Apr 2014 21:48:39
i can find out if this is true!, I will let you know

{Ed025's Note - go for it TB..

8.) Stadium will be paid for and owned by LCC, but Everton will sign a long term lease on Stadium basically paying a monthly rent, which will pay off loan council get to build it. Just like the Ethiad stadium which is owned by Manchester City Council.
It is a win win scenario for both the council who will get a continuous return on the stadium investment and for everton who will increase revenues from not only match days but also from other stadium uses and will more than be capable to pay the annual rent.

{Ed025's Note - please remember to register and log in..

9.) Surely the problem has always been funding a new ground, not the location, without the funding, a new ground is just a pipe dream.

{Ed025's Note - see above post..

10.) How come once again the council roll over on their back with arms and legs in the air, whenever Liverpool want to improve Anfield (remember Kremlyn Road and Stanley Park), but ever since the 60's everytime we have wanted to expand Goodison the answer has always been NO.

{Ed025's Note - if AL is right GTB, i will take a new stadium any day mate..

11.) Is it living in the past to want to stay at Goodison?

the place means so much to so many, I'd love for us to develop Goodison

{Ed025's Note - its been great in its day BOTN, but the time has come to move i think, its just not logistically feasible to extend in such a built up area mate, and i know the red are doing it, but a lot of their ground is very much fit for purpose, whereas ours is antiquated and run dowh..

12.) 25 Apr 2014 13:05:38
Looks as though it's happening. Can't wait to sit in a seat that's more suited to the larger gentleman

Good afternoon Blues and Cowpat Sid.

I saw Cowpat Sid's tweet regarding the loan EFC have apparently just taken out. Does anyone have an info regarding this and also how is this so well known?

I prey it's for the stadium, it's the only reasonable thing I could think it's for. Obviously not the transfer window, which by the way I think we did pretty well in.

Thanks in advance.

Morning fellow blues.

Just a few quick thoughts on the new stadium. I, like most blues would love a move to the docks. It could be a world class, iconic stadium. With the Liverpool Waters scheme by Peel Holdings with a reported £5bil I couldn't see any reason why they wouldn't want a world class stadium in and around their development. Also, the new Titanic hotel personally seems a little too far out of the way for a developer to send all that money on unless something special was happening. I can fully imagine that the hotel would be sold out around match days. Signature Living who own The Titanic Hotel (the company I work for do quite a bit of work for Signature Living) are a very good organisation and don't waste money with risky business ventures so hopefully they have known relatively early on and hence built a 4 star hotel 2 minutes walk from the proposed site.

Please let me know your thoughts and any other theories.

I am personally very excited by the new stadium and I'm searching for updates on a daily basis.

Thanks guys. COYB!

Good post Al. . . I cannot imagine anything but unanimous on wanting a waterfront stadium mate!

We would be the envy of not only Merseyside, the whole of the north west would look mediocre in comparison!

2.) 24 Jul 2016 09:51:08
Great post Al, an just think before the game you can call into the heritage market an get a blag lacoste t shirt, two tins of sure deodorant for a quid and a joint of pork off the butchers van. the convenience is endless!

3.) 24 Jul 2016 10:05:17
I mentioned the site at the waterfront when we announced Walton Park. It has a lot of scope for restaurants and bars BUT the council have said no retail.

That means the stadium would have to be multi functional and a kind of 365 day stadium facility. That may be subject to issues being raised by the Echo arena if it involves similar funtions to them.

The other site is different in that the scope is pretty much limitless. No restrictions on retail with an ability put anything on the table.

The cost of the waterfront will be a lot more plus peel will want a premium for the land and possible joint investment in the surrounding area.

The other site is more an investment in jobs and community.

Its a tough decision and one we should take our time with and for us to understand that what might look good on a postcard may not be right in the long term.

4.) 24 Jul 2016 14:57:26
Got to be the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey for me, I cannot think of a more ideal place to make Everton a global attraction, I can assure you, you will not find one single red supporter wanting Everton to get the Mersey water front.

Evening ladies and gents.

I am currently very positive about everything EFC. From our new manager to our potential new stadium, I think things are definitely looking up. I know that we are going through a stage of uncertainty but I am hopefully we will come out of this better than ever.

I am hopefully that we will get an exciting manager that will be able to bring our youth on and given a decent transfer fund will bring in some really good players.

I believe our new owner will really want to push the club forward and to the next level. I personally think he wasn't able to do what he wanted at Ansenal but here he is free to express himself and make our club his own.

Although it looks as though Big Rom and Stones will be on their way, this will only go in to new players. I believe that the days of the outward players funds going to the bank are long gone. Hopefully we can bring some classy players in to push us to the next level.

The thing that excites me most is the thought of anew stadium, especially at the docks surrounded by Peel Holdings development. I'd like to think it could put us on the world stage. Does anyone have any updates regarding the stadium as I've been searching the web and have found bits and pieces but nothing concrete. I think things must be in advance stages as it surely takes 2-3 years to build a new stadium and Joe Anderson (major of Liverpool) seems to think that we'll have the keys to our new stadium within 3 years.

Here's to a bright future :)

Good post Everton AI.

23 May 2016 07:28:09
Good morning lads.

I haven't been on for a while but I wanted to get your thoughts on a few things.

On the new stadium front, I personally think the docks would be great. With Peel Holdings development in and around the dock land area, we could have a stunning stadium surrounded by skyscrapers and the old redeveloped warehouses. It would look something special.

With Mayor Anderson saying we could have the keys in three years, surely this must be in advanced stages of any deal. The stadium will sure take 2-3 years to build so if we where to have keys within 3 years, surely a spade will have to be in the ground within a six month period?!

It's funny now that we have a chance to help Liverpool City Council host "The Games" (I forget which games it is) they are suddenly backing us a the land is available. It probably helps that we have a new rich owner. Surely this land was and has been available for a number of years.

Let me know your thoughts lads and ladies.

Everton Al

{Ed025's Note - the docks would be a great choice for me as well Ai, it encapsulates the history of the city and transport links would be so much easier mate..

1.) 23 May 2016 08:16:34
I agree Al, a stadium on the docks built with the capacity for hosting the commonwealth games with retractable seating, wow, must have 60,000 plus capacity, Koppites saying we wouldn't fill it too, if West Ham have 51,000 season tickets with 30,000 on the waiting list then we could easily fill it, first time I have ever been confident that it will happen too, i'm actually 100% certain it will with Mr Moshiri at the helm, great times ahead.

Also apparently we are interviewing Pellegrini now, too, lots of reports that we have interviewed a number of people with some top names mentioned, it's great that we are doing this properly with no knee jerk reactions, patience Blues that's all we need, we have Mr Moshiri in charge now and I've said it before, you never meet a daft self made Billionaire, never get bored of that "Billionaire".

finally I was never for bringing Rooney back, not because he left us as that needed to happen to keep us in the league, I was against it because he is nearing the end and too slow for a front guy now, change of mind here, he is perfect for our midfield and would get 3-5 years out of him at the top level, big statement from Mr Moshiri if he brought the lad home as we have all forgiven him and no doubting he is a blue, there is no love from him for Utd and that shows so much, just a bank balance for him, its a shame as he will never be a Utd legend and has probably won and done more than most of their legends, bet he would take a 50% pay cut too, drop in our midfield for a few years then China for a retirement pay day.

2.) 23 May 2016 11:27:27
I agree regarding Rooney Murf. Looks mustard in midfield.

3.) 23 May 2016 11:59:58
Can you just imagine what having Rooney in the dressing room would be like for the 4 kids we had out against Norwich.

I also think that just by putting on the shirt we would get an extra 10%.

4.) 23 May 2016 12:32:56
we would get more than an extra 10% Ace.

5.) 23 May 2016 13:00:06
Know his brother and he said the abuse the fans gave in particular his family especially in the begging he would never play for us again and would only go America for a final pay day which makes sense although Steven Gerrard might persuade him otherwise.

{Ed025's Note - i donk know why he would need a final pay day mike, the guy earns more in an hour than most of us do in a month mate..

24 Aug 2014 21:40:52
Evening Blues.

As disappointing as yesterday's result was, it has highlighted a number of things. We definitely need a few more signings. Having said that, it also highlighted that Naismith really does a job for us. I've always liked the lad but I think he's a really smart footballer. He's not a world beater and he'll never be the player of the season but I think he's a great all rounder. He may get us 15-20 goals this season which could really help us push on. When we get our first win, we need to start grinding out the results and start punishing teams. Let's get behind the boys and make sure we win the next one. Chelsea will be tough but let's put it to them.

Everton aren't we!

Everton Al

1.) I agree mate. Naismith has been our best player. People keep on talking about us needing forwards. We have Mirrallas, Naismith, Lukaku and when he is fit Kone. All of these can play up top if necessary. I also suspect that Barkley could do a job there. We have scored 4 in 2. But we have conceded 4 in 2. I would say bring Stones back in at Jags expense and look to sign another young up and coming center back.

Cheers Bitter. I thought my source seemed to know what he was on about. Hopefully he's right about the mighty blues too! It would be great to redevelop Goodison but a new stadium on Walton Hall would be class too so fingers crossed. Unfortunately, I won't be seeing or speaking to my source for a long while so I won't have anymore information for you guys. Sorry all.

Faith is something I have in bucket loads mate. It comes with being a blue. Haha. If you haven't got faith, you've got nothing. I trust Bobby so fingers crossed mate, it'll all come good. I forgot on my previous post, we'll also have Kone too so we have at least two strikers. Thanks for all your hard work Ed. Especially in the transfer window. You guys work none stop and it is very much appreciated.

Do you think we'll sign him on a perminent deal Ed? Is there a clause in the contract that you know of? What are your thoughts mate? Looks pretty good to me but i'm a little disappointed that he's on loan. I'll be slightly worried at the end of the season when we only have vellios.

{Ed025's Note - pots and pans are bubbling over lots of these deals AL, its a long term strategy mate, look at it as rebuilding without taking everything apart in one go...these people know what they are doing mate, its called playing the system, have faith AL..
