Is there any efc interest in Maxine final one? I've seen storys online and it's mentioned on the roma fan pages. Any truth?

Think he's a combative defensive midfielder with an eye for a forward pass. Possibly similar to Schneids but better, although hasn't set the world alight at Roma.

Heard anything on Raul Jimenez? And is vermaelen the only lcb/ lb we're in for?
{Ed002's Note - The Raul Jimenez offer was made some weeks ago and was around half the asking price and I don't think Everton has been back. Yugo Nagatomo and Adam Webster (no injured) have also been looked at as left defenders.}

Seeing numerous names linked with us today, nzonzi, doucoure, rigoni, Walcott, mawson. and not a left back amongst them, which imho we really need.
Any of the eds got any idea as to who efc are actually in for?

Don't believe everything you read in the papers mate. Pretty sure Sam is aware of the left back problem. On another note felt young Harry Charsley played really well in that position in the europa cup. I know it's not quite the same, but definitely one for the future.

Its being reported that usmanov has bid 1.3 billion to buy the controlling share of arsenal from stan kroenke and it's been rejected.

ED I am wondering now that USMANOVS offer for control of Arsenal, that this will be the turning point with USMANOV and he will now turn his back on Arsenal and with his links to EFC and friend of our new owner will be to our benefit.

Thanks Ed since then a very interesting article on BBC sport that it is a clever ploy to get other parties interested so he can sell his shares and plough money into Everton
I do hope so.

Laxalt is a left wing for genoa mate, but did a decent job I the wc.
Barrios i'd love, played well for Columbia, good withn the ball but has an aggressive streak that we miss in midfield.

Granted okaka hasn't been the best for Watford but he was smashing them in when he was at anderlecht. If we get him its because Ronny and Walsh reckon there's something there. Coyb.

Was rejected by benfica mate. Mitroglu joined Marseille so they would have been left short. Think we really wanted him we should have gone in much earlier.

Great performance and some really good football played. ( puts tin hat on ) The only issue I can see is that we seemed to lose control of the midfield when we brought besic on, where as normally it would have been Gaz barry to quite things down. Besic not up to it for me but on the whole a great performance.
