£20m could have got Cleverley, Delefaou, Micah Richards, Traore and Shakiri and all would be good at Everton! I know what people will say about wages but we've just got rid of two senior first teamers and a handful of kids! Plus we are a prem team and need to spend to keep up!

I would be as happy and excited as anyone with Everton signing decent players. I'm not convinced with Martinez as manager but I am impressed with his resistance to sell our best players. I also am pleased with the way he tied down so many of the important players over the last year. I also agree with him not buying players for the sake of it. They have to fit in and most importantly improve the team. Keeping what we have and adding Clev, Del boy and Holgate is not bad business. Only way Everton will get better with the budget we have is 1. Hold the players we have. 2. Only add players that will make us better. We don't have the budget Utd, Chelsea, Man City have. I'm impressed with the squad. It's Martinez tatics that I think needs to change than bringing in players just to make us excited. More direct football up the pitch, with Miralles, Barkley, Del boy and Lukaku doing there magic would be enough to excite rather than continous sideways passing.

I am sure we will leave it a late as possible as all the money clubs will have done their buying and will then have decent players surplus to requirements, then clubs like us can step in and possibly pick up a bargain or good players on cheap loans
{Ed030's Note - I doubt it, clubs are not silly enough to let good players on cheap loans. Maybe a bargain as that is all Everton can afford by the looks of it. }

Watched us yesterday and have absolutely zero belief going into new season with Kone up front! No width once Mirellas went off either! Hate the way Bobby persists in playing four centre mids! What gets me is first season he played outright wingers and we looked a threat at all times, he then changed the system to a load of centre mids / number 10's and we were garbage so why persist!?!?

Haven't all our wingers got hamstring problems? Perhaps the problem is not tactical but medical. Didn't Moyes sack our old phisio because of that problem, doesn't seem to have helped.

I also wonder big time if he knows his best players and more importantly their best positions? He seems to chop and change all the time. Poor Barkley has played just about every position . as has Naismith. I know Moyes used to play the odd person out of position, but this guy rotates players and positions every game. Tactical genius or buffoon?

Not sure whether I believe that but I'd love it to happen!! I mean other than us who wants a striker that couldn't
score in a brothel!
