Any Eds, in your opinion what sort of fee would we allow Kev to leave for in the summer? Seeing as though he's almost certainly off. Heard his contract expires Summer 2016, so with only a year left, the price won't be too high, right?

KaneTheBlueNose

{Ed025's Note - imo kane the fee will be in the £8-10m bracket if sold to a team abroad, but maybe a little higher for an EPL club mate..

12m minimum for bpl club for me

2.) 31 Mar 2015 19:06:39
Not 100% sure about this, but, as far as I know, everton have a one year option at the end of his contract, effectivly then he is our player for two more years, if true, this surley would push up the price, as he would not be able to walk away afder next season.

{Ed025's Note - if he wants out JCW theres not much the club can do about it mate, we dont have the resources to let him rot in the reserves like city did with tevez..

Anything on Mirallas Ed? Has said he'll decide his future in the summer. Could he actually be leaving? Or do you reckon he'll stay?

KaneTheBlueNose

{Ed025's Note - if i had to bet on it kane..i would say he will go mate, much as i hate to say it better teams are courting him at the moment..

1.) 16 Jan 2015 11:35:35
would hate to see him leave he is a real quality match winner and a player that excites the fans, however worse case he goes but would comand a significant fee!

2.) 17 Jan 2015 17:58:40
He'd only command a big fee if he had years left on his contract. That's not the case, so we could only expect a modest amount.Personally I think he'll sign and stay. He always speaks highly of the club and management and has frequently stated how much he enjoys it here. So, here's hoping.

Heard rumours that Roberto is keeping his eye on Portugese Miguel Veloso to fill the void left by Barry, also heard he is interested in Colombian winger Cuadrado, any Eds know anything?

KaneTheBlueNose

{Ed002's Note - Juan Guillermo Cuadrado has been subject to the interest of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Juventus and his co-owners, Fiorentina & Udinese. Manchester United, Spurs and Liverpool have had the player watched. Juventus has confirmed that they will not be following up. Barcelona were looking to replace Dani Alves with Cuadrado but due to the delay in the sale of Alves have probably lost out to Fiorentina who are finalising the purchase of the rights held by Udinese. That will allow them full control over the future of the player. An auction between Bayern Munich and Barcelona would suit them, else they will keep him another seaon.}

1.) Cuardrado is way out our league. I like Veloso, but better informed people than me have their doubts about him, and apparently he's not suited to the defensive midfield role that the Portugal manager uses him as, which is what he'd play for us.

Not a rumour I know, but just responding to the previous post about Garbutt leaving. Thought he did a great job against Wolfsburg last night. They're second in the Bundesliga currently and for someone with so little experience to maintain a great player in Kevin De Bruyne, thought that Luke has a great game. Can't see Bobby letting him go now, just hope he gives him some deserved game time. COYB

1.) As other posters have noted, Garbutt is out of contract next Summer, so that situation surely needs to be sorted sooner rather than later.
One interesting view I've heard is that Garbutt is physically big enough and strong enough to be a centre back (as well as a full back), which I imagine would be a good option to have in our squad.

2.) He is quick. He is good going forwards. He is athletic. In any other team (without Leighton Baines) he would have been in the first team ages ago. Look at his performances for the England U21's. We will be lucky to get him to sign a contract now. We are hopefully doing all we can to entice him. There must be many other clubs after him.

Anyone else reckon we should go after Nathan Redmond? Really rate him and he's just been relegated with Norwich, know of any interest Eds? Cheers

KaneTheBlueNose

1.) He was excellent when play in Championship. But in Premier league he is rubbish.

2.) Have to disagree sitea. Last season he was in a very poor Norwich side but he was the one shining light. I think he is good enough for the PL and I believe he wanted to come to us when he was at Birmingham.
