Oh dear this isn't ending well.

Sandro of on loan to Seville who have also beat us to the Croatian lad from inter.

Klasson off to Napoli.
Hope tomorrow brings lots of nice surprises!

1.) 30 Jan 2018 22:26:45
Seville supposedly have an option to buy Sandro in the summer for €9 million. Surely that’s terrible business on Everton’s part?

2.) 30 Jan 2018 22:38:43
expect nothing that way you won't be disappointed.

3.) 31 Jan 2018 02:05:07
Probably just want him off the wage bill, get there money back and forget he ever came.

4.) 31 Jan 2018 10:38:12
Nzonzi? Maybe.

30 Jan 2018 21:00:46
Mahrez and to a lesser extent Vardy getting lots of press. Mahrez handed in transfer request?

Ok ok I'm trying to find a glimmer of hope for the game Wednesday night. Fingers crossed we get a Leicester in turmoil and can get away with a win.

1.) 30 Jan 2018 21:58:39
We better had too, Swansea winning against Arsenal so other teams are getting within range of us.

Viera discuss:

1.) 06 May 2018 21:35:35
Decent shout. Not a great level of management experience but a few have wanted Arteta who has no managing experience. You never know til they given a fair crack of the whip. Howard Kendall springs to mind. Even premier legends like Sir Alex Ferguson and especially Arsene Wenger weren't overly experienced managers when they arrived at Man Utd and Arsenal.

2.) 06 May 2018 21:55:39
May aswell give it Unsy.

3.) 06 May 2018 22:17:30
Have great respect for unsworth, as a coach, but not as a manager, apart from anything eles, he's a nice guy, that's something you cannot afford, their are times you have to be ruthless, and i don't think he has it in him.

4.) 06 May 2018 23:34:04
Agreed. The same could be said for the guy at West Brom who has done an amazing job getting results out of a doomed side but I’m not sure he’d have that though no-nonsense side that you need to deal with bad attitude from players.

5.) 07 May 2018 00:46:38
If I had to choose between Vierra or Arteta I'd go with Arteta.

Vierra has slightly more management experience but Arteta's Everton history would swing it for me.

Both though would be massive gambles with their lack of experience actually managing but some of the best managers recently have had little experience.

6.) 07 May 2018 01:29:54
Not sure about that, Windsorblue, have you seen the size of Darren Moore? I think most people would listen to him!
Am I right in thinking that, when Rooney first broke through all those years ago, Moore put him in his place for show boating? I remember WR standing on the ball and saluting as the big man came towards him before laying the ball off. DM steam rolled him for his cheek!

7.) 07 May 2018 05:04:26
West Brom under DM have taken more points against the top 6 in his short spell as boss than we have all season, not bad for a caretaker.

05 May 2018 21:42:33
If it wasn't for Southamptons efforts, that's got to be the worst football we've played and we've played some rubbish this season.

Not acceptable.

17 Mar 2018 17:50:18
Good article in the Echo on RK.
Obviously not going to get into it as it's water under the bridge and he was never liked cos he is Mr Barcelona. I do agree he would have been much the better manager because of this season. And I think he would have had us on par with our current position. Just we wouldn't have the headache of cutting out B.S. reign.

I'm sure the stoke result today will divide posters on one side or other for this post.

1.) 17 Mar 2018 18:23:59
Interesting view Myteam. I think I am in the middle with my views but feel a bit sorry for Sam Allergy. He does shoot himself in the foot with comments. He also talks about himself too much. However, Koeman's main problem was the last transfer window. I suspect Walsh was partly to blame as well. When we "cashed in" on Lukaku and lost Barkley for next to nothing, we should have had ready made replacements lined up. We should also have had cover lined up for both full back positions. Added to which a center half was needed. I had many discussions and got berated for forecasting this under Martinez's reign. I had suggested that our ageing squad was not being reinforced with the right age group and quality of players. People accused me of going on about Moyes when in fact I was suggesting that our squad was becoming weaker and lacking players in their peak. ie aged 23 - 29. We were relying on players below and above that age group. A club can have a couple of players outside that age but when you are relying on so many youngsters and older players, confidence can easily drop with the youngsters and injuries can take their toll with the older players. As has happened with us. Leaders are needed but you can have too many older leaders that weaken the team because fitness levels are needed. Anyway Sam Allardyce has signed Tosun, Walcott and Mangala. Ok Mangala is out injured, but Walcott and Tosun have revitalised us no question. As have Coleman and Baines returning. We now need to sign replacements for those two and Jags. Whoever is manager should see this need and deal with it. I would be ok with Sam A. but suspect too many are against him.

2.) 17 Mar 2018 18:57:16
Good post mate a very assessment.

3.) 17 Mar 2018 19:01:43
good lol.

4.) 17 Mar 2018 19:33:42
Walsh and Moshiri have to take credit for the Tosun signing as it was them who scouted him against Monaco.
Also can't see Sam going to Walsh and Moshiri 'hey have you seen the lad from Arsenal, Walcotts his name' that looks like a Moshiri or Walsh signing too.

5.) 17 Mar 2018 19:52:59
Smit666 wrong.

6.) 17 Mar 2018 19:59:53
Which bit DFS?

7.) 17 Mar 2018 20:17:43
Didn't just scout him against Monaco, he was scouted by more than one Premier League side as well. Also Alardyce had a huge say in wanting Tosun. Alardyce has extensive football contacts World Wide and more so than the likes of Moyes etc! (nevertheless I would take a return of Moyes over retaining Alardyce, especially with our current financial status) .

8.) 17 Mar 2018 20:42:00
Moyes not for me mate big no no.

9.) 17 Mar 2018 21:14:01
Well DFS you have more Intel than me then. Moshiri saw him against Monaco in October, Allardyce arrives in December and 4 weeks later Tosun arrives. Allardyce must have been the driving force behind the signing.

As for Moyes, yeah let's get him back. He sold us down the river, and since than has failed at every club he's managed. No thanks.

10.) 17 Mar 2018 21:24:30

11.) 17 Mar 2018 22:05:41
Didn't say take him back (Moyes) lads! just pointing out the difference (Alardyce) . Most if not all disagree with me I know but take an unknown (Fonseca) against an excellent man manager/ organiser known such as Dyche (Burnley basics Academy upwards) into an already good set up such as ours and I believe Dyche would only have to hit the ground at a stroll.

12.) 17 Mar 2018 23:25:03
Rk had an aloofness that most read as arrogant. Also it's a classic Dutch trait
And it's probably the least appealing personality trait.

I'm sure if he had come out as Jose did a couple of days ago and be spot on with underlying realistic targets and reigning in his own fans (Good to see him back on form for the 1st time in 3 years) and gave journalists and fan groups a fact based reality check, maybe he would have been afforded more respect and time? We will never know.

I guess the inspiration for my post today was the real fact of a new manager (sorry not sorry GB and the B. S. lovers)
But when a new boss is appointed this summer, it's likely that he will be met at some point in his 1st 18 months with a back lash.

I guess in hindsight if RK had tickled fans into believing he was soon to be an adopted one of our own (always has made me laugh this outdated desire for foreign coaches and players to give a damn as if they were born to represent their new employers) he may well have been afforded the same patience that inevitably will have to be given to a new coach?

Unless all this noise is a case of fans expecting 100% success and zero mistakes? Are we certain to make the same mistakes again?

If we get a modern manager coach and he is the next big thing
. do we destroy him for losing 5 or 6 games? Regardless of him3 setting (for instance) a home points record tally the season before?

If RK hadn't been the way he was (basically couldn't give a crap about glorifying the fans and blowing smoke up our back sides) he would have had more time.

Will we kill the next manager or are we going to actually buy in this time and support. the new guy. (Sorry if it's hypocritical to you that I hate B. S. but he came with a history that only the blind could ignore)

13.) 17 Mar 2018 23:30:22
Also a coach as Rk was, is paid to coach and for match days.
He is invited to submit and discuss transfer targets.

His DOF and chairman are the deal makers.

Again old ground bit I can post links to 100s of interviews with RK 12 months before the mass, stating that we need to replace a likely departing Lukaku. So I do not blame home for the club's failure to address that issue.
And he has mostly hated on Ross and this was again something that RK stated as clear as glass that the lad signs by x or has gone too.
The club's powers let him down and we the fans took out q to burn him as the none blue he was.

14.) 17 Mar 2018 23:30:50
Smit666 right!

31 Jan 2018 13:34:25
Hey Rafa. How's the signings going la? Is that pesky "small club" smashing you all over the place? Good luck with the rest of the season.

I for one will be most impressed if the paper talk is way off with our targets.

Be great for the club to sign players under the mental media radar.

I'm glad that the squad is about to be chopped up. 12 claimed to be shown the door.

Id also take the Brands statement about having to sell b4 buying as a
Ploy. To stop us becoming soft touch. The world known The Epl is cash rich and it now knows we've been heavily backed and like to throw it about.
I think this stance is a great move to announce we are no longer an easy pay day.

I have no doubt that we will not risk losing our key targets because we want to sell some old and rubbish players to boost the kitty 1st.

A new era of professionalism has dawned. I like FM and fully support his new vision and team.

Last year we were the new mugs but no longer.

Great news. Loved the guy and I for one am baffled at his bad press over the years. But it's time Wayne. Hope to see you make a big success of the MLS and would like to welcome you back again in the future to the coaching team.

We can spend the turnover right?
Didn't last season just earned 135 mil?
So add another slab from players we will be selling and before you know it, we can spend £200 mil before we get anywhere near breaking FFP rules.

To compare us with teams who are capable of attracting (1st very important) and breaking world records for transfers, let's put the £50 mil player in context.

Yes a huge amount of money but we will all witness by the end of this window just how common place a 50 mil fee is. So many of you are really struggling with the money.
Put up or shut up. You're wasting everyone's time because it really is the way now.

We have no debt. We have someone who is here to bank roll us. He is revolutionizing the business. He is making it self sufficient.
I'd worry if we had a provincial owner still who had somehow pulled the wool over tha banks and investors eyes and was splurging £250 mill every window until it all foreclosed and we were relegated. I think with the lessons of history, that's near impossible to happen.

People banged on about the lack of investment last season. What I mean is we could all see lots of signings and we spent more than ever. At one point we were the 3rd biggest spender in the entire world. But the pints made were true. Put in the Lukaku money and others and all of a sudden we only spent 30 mil.

Yeah homesick cures are often to go even farther away to somewhere like, say Germany?

Press jumped on it for 1 day and it's stuck ever since. Homesick nonsense.

Lookman is great but it's naive to expect him to come in from the cold and be the main man.
He wasn't the starter on loan, he was a sub.

Same goes for him here.
He is my favourite young player so I'm not knocking him but let's be realistic. He should be more than happy at the end of this coming season to have made 30 appearances.
Mostly as a sub.

If Bolasie goes (fingers crossed) we will need 3 wingers. Lookman is a pretty useful sub to have. He can play both wings.

Shouldn't be a concern. Vlasic on the other hand. not good enough and won't get any game time.

Yeah he's a huge?
And I'm sorry but Vlasic is crap. Get rid I say.
Championship level at best. Maybe in 4 years he will pop up somewhere as a player but he has done nothing.
Poor control no aggression no pace for a winger or a nipper, no ariel ability. Bought on a bad night in Europe. Desperate.

Pay as you play for 12 months to prove his worth otherwise scrap yard time for the lad.

Talented for sure (Don't listen to plastics, they have zero to spout off about)
Could do us a job too but not worth a few or a big wage.
If he really wants it, he would choose us over WH otherwise has a moron.

Yeah, he was unfairly treated last year. Wooney shouldn't have been given a look in over GS.
The poor guy has been treated appallingly by fans and coaches.

He is a class act and we really need to play to his strengths as has our big star player. World class.
