Quinny

Anyone know what are sell on fee for forshaw is? Brentford have just sold him for decent money apparently as the boss said "anyone who thinks he went for 3million is on a different planet"

Quinny

1.) 27 Aug 2014 14:33:46
50% Supposedly

2.) Think your bang on there Brad 50% is what I heard and they turned down £3m offer as they wanted £5m at least so they may mean that Brentford received £3m which means he went for £6m. That seems a lot though

3.) I read we had a 50% sell on clause in the contract when we sold him and also we were due to receive 2m from this move.

So is Drogba coming back as third choice allowing Lukaku to leave or is he being brought back to coach/inspire Lukaku to emulate him hopefully the former.

Quinny

1.) 21 Jul 2014 16:07:00
Probably the latter.

How much would Memphis depay and jordy clasie cost? and is there any intrest form us in either?

Quinny

{Ed002's Note - PSV's Memphis Depay has attracted interest from a number of clubs with Newcastle, Marseille and Manchester United looking to see of a deal can be struck this summer. Marseille will not be able to afford the player if either of the other sides bid.

Feyenoord's Clasie remains a target for Fiorentina but whilst interest from Spurs seems to have waned, Sunderland, Swansea and Manchester United are showing interest.}

I'm legitimately happy we're playing Mcgeady two wingers from the start I can't remember the last time we did this.

This is going to be unpopular but I think Mcgeady had a good game especially 1st half. Please forgive me.

Quinny

1.) Read my post Quinny. He was certainly more aggressive. And his first half lasted longer than his second. If he had half a brain, perhaps he could learn to tackle? Joking aside, he flatters to decieve. He must have played 40 games for us now? How many has he contributed to us picking up points? ie by assists or goals? probably 4 or 5 at most. He is a forward/winger. That stat should be at least in 30%. ie he should have scored eg 10 goals with 10 assists. Just not good enough! That's my report on him.

Distin and Alcaraz are out of contract in the summer and I don't think they deserve a new contract. I think we need to go all out to get Winston Ried and Fabian Schaar they would bring down the average squad age and improve like for like quality as well as being more comfortable in our system. Thoughts?

Quinny

{Ed025's Note - my problem quinny, is that these issues need sorting NOW, it is no use waiting until the end of the season because the way things are going we could be in the championship!, you may think thats over reacting mate but we are 4 points off relegation, and have a hard run of games coming up, and once you are down there, getting out is very difficult, especially with players who dont appear to be giving their all...which we have in abundance..

1.) Agree that Distin and Alcaraz should be let go and both Ried and Schaar would be good replacements. However without being a purveyor of doom, I have to agree with Ed025 the here and now are the concern. Whatever is going on behind the scenes (and it has to be that as this is still the same squad that did so well last season) has to be sorted out and quickly as we are in danger of going down. The consequences of that is a disaster I don't even want to think about.

2.) We need impact players now but that doesn't mean we can stop planning ahead as then we'll be in this position every year. At least last night was marginally better than recent performances.

{Ed025's Note - the last 20 minutes were quinny, but why do they not play with that intensity from the start?..some of the players are acting the goat mate..

3.) Judging by jags and luks reaction and demeanour during the interview after the match there has to be something going on.

What happened to wingers? Martinez has always played them at Wigan n'zogbia, Moses, mcmannaman and last year Mirallas and Delefou had great seasons. This year we usually play 2/3 number 10s and our wingers seem scared to take a man on. I think this a key reason were so bad recently as well as the shocking pressing and slow tempo sideways passing.

How is kenwright still getting abuse from some 'fans' come on we nearly doubled are record transfer haven't sold anyone secured our best players to long term deals, and still you think he's taking money out of the club very few clubs make money year on year we are not one of them.

Quinny

1.) Your dead right quinny,
We have a chairman who does not take a bean from the club and that's fact not even phone call expenses,
lets get a chairman like leeds cardiff etc,
BK is what is good about our club, and I personally thank him for it. So the blinkered people are entitled to there false opinion, sheep followers you see, were the fans who know dark days can see the real picture.

The players have said besic doesn't tackle as hard in training, it's just one of these things that happen.

If that was a straight swap we definitely come out on top. Probably won't happen but we have been linked to a couple of CMs recently

Don't really see jags interesting arsenal or arsenal interesting jags. We'd probably want 10-15m for him which no one would pay. But thanks for passing on the rumour anyway haven't had any decent transfer gossip for ages waiting for henen and atsu is boring.

Get a grip mike
Ruddy is not better than Howard
Rodwell is as average as Barry and never fit
Mcmanaman has had one good game in his entire career
Anichebe never ever came close to cutting it
Rooney is better than lukaku but lukaku has the potential to be very good and is the best striker we've had since Rooney left

The problem is getting work permits which means you have to buy established players which means there expensive the cheapest player on your list is who pauliniho at 18m

I think he has the potential to be an awesome player and even though he's 21 he's missed enough football to be 18/19 in development terms. It would be really good to see him in a deeper role breaking forward.

I think Seamus is suffering from not having a recognised wideman in front of him with Mirralas being preferred on the left we need to get back to having two wingers or one and osman
