Surely the papers must be wrong, we can't be after the Liverpool striker origi, his record is rubbish, why waste money on someone who is no better that what we have, if I could pick any striker at the moment who we might get, would be Edin dzeko, he's still a fantastic finisher, with the right financial package, at his age I think he'd come.

Simontoffeeman69

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest being shown by Ecerton in Origi, who looks to be heading for Turkey. Only one English side has made an approach for Dzeko, and it is not Everton.}

1.) 18 Oct 2018 13:44:03
Glad to hear about the first one, but I'd love to see Dzeko at Everton, thanks for the info.

2.) 18 Oct 2018 19:55:05
You've set your sights low Simontoffee if I could pick one it would be Harry Kane.
Realistically dzeko would be a good shout but I can see him going to a Chelsea or Tottenham.

3.) 18 Oct 2018 21:30:17
I ment smit666 a player we could actually sign, we have no chance ever of signing Harry Kane, if he came available every club in Europe would want him, and he would come at a price of 100 million plus.

29 Jul 2018 12:25:49
I've been reading in the papers that we are close to agreeing for the Celtic lad, surely we aren't after 2 left backs, reports can't be right, be nice thou .

Simontoffeeman69

{Ed025's Note - i cant see tierney leaving celtic this window simon..

1.) 29 Jul 2018 15:07:08
I hope so. That would be a shot in the arm. The noises coming from this Barcelona LB aren't very promising.

28 Jul 2018 14:47:26
Just winding about RLC, papers saying about a loan, do you think this will come as a late transfer, will Chelsea wait and see who they bring in before letting him go on loan, if they do this at all.

Simontoffeeman69

{Ed002's Note - The club has yet to speak to the player after the WC. Everton has made no approach to Chelsea for RLC, although two other EPL sides have. Chelsea would be open to another loan but right now the player is starting to try and talk his way out of the club completely – and they won’t stand in his way – and the player now knows they would have let him leave last summer if another player did not opt to leave – so a slim possibility for Everton at best.}

1.) 28 Jul 2018 15:38:03
Hi Ed, what seems to be the difficulty with the Mina deal. Is he holding on due to his options, possibly seen Manchester United and Lyon linked. Or is it because we still haven't gave a Barcelona an acceptable offer? Feels like it's been dragging on and possibly best if we move on to Gibson. Cheers mate.

{Ed002's Note - There is no difficulty. Barcelona want a sizable sum and the player wants to understand his options.}

2.) 28 Jul 2018 15:46:38
I'd be over the moon if we signed RLC, Digne and Mina (or another capable CB) to add to Richarlison.

3.) 28 Jul 2018 17:16:08
Thanks ed, be nice to have him driving us forward .

30 May 2018 16:50:37
I no it's all paper talk about some players that we are linked with, most being players from the teams Silva or brand have worked at. now most player we don't need or will not improve us, the problem we had is, every player at some point show some form but every player at some point let there form slip, now how do your sort out who to keep and who to get rid of?

Simontoffeeman69

1.) 30 May 2018 20:53:46
In this day and age the papers are about as accurate as Stevie Wonder at the rifle range.

As has already happened in this slow summer, stories are exposed as nonsense quickly.

Back in the late 90s the paper with no name was actually pretty good at predicting transfers.
Some bloke on twitter can now post some fancy and it's soon quoted on NewsNow.

If the details in your question were true, our club would be in serious trouble, especially critical upstairs.

My advice is to chill and ignore 95% of what you read.

2.) 30 May 2018 21:12:45
Yes agree to a certain extent , but last Summer we signed quite a few of names that were being banded about .

3.) 30 May 2018 21:36:54
All comes down to opinion. For instance the papers are now plugging we are interested in Carvallo (spelling! ) because of the Silva link. If true is he better than what we have now, my take and opinion is no.

4.) 30 May 2018 23:20:15
If we play 2 dm the carvalho is a definite upgrade on shnids and Davies. Maybe better than Gueye tbh.

5.) 31 May 2018 12:39:04
But we should be looking to move away from playing 2 DM and add an extra creative midfielder to the mix. Could play Gueye sitting in front of a back 4 with Gylfi, Lookman and either Vlasic or Klaasen as a 3 behind Tosun and Walcott.

Hi ED, just wondering if you think we might get the ukrainian in January, or do you think that bird has flown the nest

Simontoffeeman69

{Ed025's Note - we will certainly try simon, but he will be much sought after by teams who will be willing to pay a lot more than us mate, so although we have a chance im not holding my breath..

1.) 09 Sep 2015 16:27:50
the Ukrainian dose not seem to keen on joining us plus barca r supposed to be making a move for him in January ed where we ever interested in segi Roberto from barca if so how close where we to making a bid for him

{Ed025's Note - it was more speculation than fact duke, they wanted him farmed out and we have a good relationship with barca so people put that together and came up with us mate..

Any news on Aaron Ramsey, think his box to box ability and goal scoring would be just what we needed, I no there would be plenty of suitors, but we could pay the wages and if we could sell him the dream, who knows .

Simontoffeeman69

{Ed002's Note - Try the Arsenal page, this is the Everton page.}

1.) 05 Jan 2019 20:49:05
Well on that note, I will not ever post on this site again, OBVIOUSLY you have the intelligence of a wooden ruler, ANYONE, can see i ment interest from. EVERTON FOOTBALL CLUB, this little web page, with only a few regular posters, you think gives you the right to talk to people how you like, not on my watch, and being honest you lot on here have no more knowledge to what the papers say.

{Ed002's Note - You are making yourself look more and more of a half witted cretin with each post about random players Everton has no interest in whatsoever and then this true beauty. At least you won't be bothering the Everton supporters anymore.}

2.) 06 Jan 2019 12:31:09
I think i've finally found out the identity of Ed002. Are you Allan Beswick?

{Ed002's Note - ?}

3.) 06 Jan 2019 18:35:01
Sorry should have explained myself. “Half witted cretin” was a favourite saying of his on his after hours radio show.

22 Dec 2018 11:13:08
If we only have enough money to buy a player, what position and who, but remember we won't be buying Messi, Ronaldo ECT, keep it to what our budget will be
I'd go with a striker, Jamie hardy.
Think with our quick attacking formation, and him knowing and proving himself in the premiership, think he would be a great addition for a couple of years.

Simontoffeeman69

1.) 22 Dec 2018 13:09:47
Harry Kane.

2.) 22 Dec 2018 12:58:38
i agree striker is priority, only thing putting me off vardy is the age, if wer going with a stop gap for a year or two ad rather us go for edin dzeko but as i said further down my ideal choice would be sebastian haller mate he's top draw and only 24.

3.) 22 Dec 2018 13:53:53
Dzeko is a year older than Vardy Johnny, but agree with both Vardy and Dzeko, both would be great additions.

I would go one further and sign the guy from Leipzig or try and arrange a swap deal with Lookman and bring one of the two above mentioned in as well.

4.) 22 Dec 2018 14:41:18
Margera from Porto. Quick, powerful and scores goals.

5.) 22 Dec 2018 15:29:07
Need someone in order to put the chances away because as of this moment we are 11th and this after only 17 games. The football is there but progress in terms of climbing the table is not there.

6.) 22 Dec 2018 15:50:57
good shout dentie, and nev. i know dzeko is older, but that's what am saying, i'd rather us go young, but if we're going 30 plus for a year or 2, i'd rather someone like dzeko than vardy.

7.) 22 Dec 2018 18:01:10
I think Vardy would fit in well, our build up play will give Vardy enough time to get into the box, still a few years left in Vardy yet.

Be interesting to see where we would have been in the league now with a proven scorer putting away the chances we have missed this season.

16 Dec 2018 14:45:00
Ive been reading we are after Agustine, how ever it's spelt, score 8 goals in 23 games for LP, yet cenk has scored 7 in 29 games or us, but isn't our league a lot harder than LP, so how is this a step up, if the guy had score 15 goals in 23 games I could under stand it, and 38 million touted, I'm not sure this lad is our answer, lookman scored 5 goals in as many games, how many has lookmen scored for us, we need a strikr who can score at the to level, we constant another sandro .

Simontoffeeman69

1.) 17 Dec 2018 09:34:20
he could fit our system a lot better mate, not necessarily all about the goal scoring, all be it you want your striker to score loads, but look at the work for example firmino puts in for the wide men as he fits their system.

21 Nov 2018 11:47:03
Hi eds, been a very good week for Everton players, one in particular is vasic, he's young and seems to be doing very well, at 20 he's got along time to flourish, do you think he will be given another chance or sold on, some leagues suit some players better than others.

Simontoffeeman69

{Ed001's Note - a lot depends on him, he was not keen to wait for his chance before he went out on loan.}

12 Nov 2018 11:46:01
If we can start going to the top teams and come away with something, then in my book that's a big improvement on last season, we are now a very good team, we still need some strengthening, but it's all looking positive, Saturdays are something to look forward to again.

Simontoffeeman69

{Ed025's Note - i agree with all of that simon..

Omg hear we go, cry in to spilt milk, absolute rubbish talk again, we don't have a striker, we can't score goals, 17 shots at goal, was it 2 on target, that's why we lost, 60% of possession, we are doing all good things, but just cannot finish them off. Once we get a striker things will change.

If you look at our team, we have had to put a lot of players in, that haven't played in the premiership before, as we no it's the toughest league in the world, game after game,100 miles an hour, that in its self takes time to adjust, sometimes a season, now if you put the others new players in as well, plus a new playing system, does any one with half a brain cell think we are going to challenging the top 4, of course not, first thing is to get them playing better, which he has done, players are having good games and bad games, this is the nature of playing in the premiership for the first season, Gomez has been great, now his form is just dipping, he's getting tired, he was out injured for a while, Bernard has come in, he s finding his feet, richarlison has been playing in different positions, Coleman has been out injuried, this season is about the team understanding what Silva expects, we cannot expect to much, yes we are high one week and low another, but in time, we will see more highs than lows, what makes me mad, with negative comments, is the fact, people are so deluded if they think we can or should be up with the big boys after a few months, this is a project, we've had one transfer window, who can make a winning team after that, pep took over from a top man city side, did he win the league first season, no he didn't, how far ahead is that team to us, a million miles, so enjoy the good time and hope fully in time we will be up there challenging.

I think dark cloud your quite simply an idiot or very well calculated in what you say to get a reaction, Silva and Everton are at a early point of a rebuilding job, there will be blips along the way, just like Liverpool have had over the last 3 years under klop, but now look at them, so let's at least give Silva some time .

If siggy can't play then i'd drop richarlison to 10 and touson up front, , keep the rest of the team as it was.

Simontoffeeman69

{Ed025's Note - for me simon i would put bernard in the siggy role and lookman on the left, but thats just my opinion mate..

I totally agree, Silva should never of changed a winning team, did we need a back 5 against a team who cannot score, no we didn't, we played into there hands and got punished, hope he learns his lesson.

I think the difference is UTD are used to winning the league, being up there challenging, this has been built up over many many years, we aren't, we are now trying to build, that's the difference, it doesn't happen over night.

Totally agree BigH78, we showed passion and tried to win the game, we had our chances, sad way to lose it, but overall we've drawn at Chelsea, been unlucky at Liverpool, it's going in the right direction, I think next season with a couple of additions we will be pushing from the start for a top 4 finish, read something that Big Sam got a draw and the question was are we now going backwards, well if having a couple of attacks threw the whole game and getting a penalty to draw against attacking football, trying to win, and on another day we could of, I'd take Silva all day long.
