Who is the right winger that has been spotted at John Lennon airport who plays for Girona? He has played for Athletico too? Rumour has it he’s arriving at finch farm for his medical.

Singing the Blues

{Ed025's Note - riquelme?.. ?

Can Ed02 please explain the score with loans again if we are getting kudos on loan does that mean coady or vinigre will need to be a permanent deal to allow it. Have things now with Broja Everton bound with Gordon moving? Thanks as always.

Singing the Blues

{Ed002's Note - The situation for loans and Broja are unchanged. I have explained.}

1.) 20 Aug 2022 00:02:28
Beoja signing a new contract with Chelsea, not coming to us, we have filled our loan slots.

2.) 20 Aug 2022 00:30:06
We are allowed 2 loans from
The same league and another 2 from other leagues i think that's how it works. So we have 1 loan from wolves an 1 loan from sporting. So we are allowed another 2 loans from prem an other league.

3.) 20 Aug 2022 08:45:43
This topic is like groundhog day on here.

4.) 20 Aug 2022 09:25:00
I don’t really care about the loan system and the rules that go with it. I doubt the club will get it wrong so let’s just leave it to them to sort out. 3 points today will be enough for me this weekend.

COYB.

5.) 20 Aug 2022 11:47:10
Today is massive three points definitely needed.

19 Aug 2022 14:09:36
Ollie Watkins? The next name to be linked. I would be happy with that tbh. Ed 025?

Singing the Blues

{Ed025's Note - not for me mate..

1.) 19 Aug 2022 16:20:08
Ed, you aren't daft are you. Made some great calls on players this window. Most, if not all, i agree with.

{Ed025's Note - cheers BN..

08 Aug 2022 12:15:13
Hi Ed any information on our interest in Sasa Kalajdzic? Thanks.

Singing the Blues

{Ed002's Note - Sasa Kalajdzic (S) Stuttgart will push for him to sign a new contract. Agent has offered him to Roma, Everton and Spurs - as they did last summer to Chelsea and Crystal Palace. Bayern Munich are keen on the player but have a preferred target. The same is true of Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United.}

1.) 08 Aug 2022 15:26:29
Thanks Ed. ??.

07 Jul 2022 11:30:05
Who was it that Frank wanted to bring in as backroom staff when he became Manager but couldn’t bring him. It was rumoured he may come in the summer and now Dunc and Unsworth have both gone will he try and bring him in again?

Singing the Blues

{Ed002's Note - Anthony Barry.}

1.) 07 Jul 2022 16:35:10
i am sure i seen yesterday he is staying at Chelsea.

{Ed002's Note - That is the intention.}

2.) 07 Jul 2022 17:36:26
Think he would be a great addition to the team if it could be possible Ed. Might be a Red but would definitely get what it mens to play football Everton and it’s always nice to be closer to your Families ?.

3.) 08 Jul 2022 08:49:40
Thanks Ed.

It is clear we are still struggling financially even after selling players and reducing the wage bill. We have been punished and maybe more to come. Are we going to be like this for a few years before we get to the stage of buying the calibre of player we should be purchasing? Once we get to the new stadium and have more income it won’t be a magic wand it will still take time to recover.

Would we be better going in to administration taking the hit of another 9pts deduction likely relegating us and hitting a reset button to build for next season.
Where would we stand with the new stadium if we went into administration? Just a thought!

Singing the Blues

1.) 03 Feb 2024 01:18:25
Our debt is just getting bigger each week. 777, MSP sports capital and image and media rights are owed around half a billion between them. Even if we survive another season in the Premier league our debts will just keep growing.

Administration seems the most likely outcome and personally I'd rather it happened sooner rather than later. At least we could then start the rebuild and work our way back up.

I've had enough of the death by a thousand cuts situation and would almost be relieved to be dealt the inevitable fatal blow.

NSNO UTFT.

2.) 03 Feb 2024 06:44:17
Administration would be the last thing I would welcome. Firstly who says a reset would benefit the club? Especially if we’re relegated and lose the riches of the PL? Any decent assets would have to be sold so what kind of a team would we end up with?

And let’s not forget what administration also means, many people don’t get what they are owed! You want something - You pay for it.

I would like to think our club would fight tooth and nail to prevent this from happening.

We talk so fondly about our rich history which we all use to define us as a big club. Well how would our history look when we have a shameful record of administration blotting it?

3.) 03 Feb 2024 07:24:16
Portsmouth FC.

4.) 03 Feb 2024 08:57:29
Not for me. I look at the old teams that I remember in the first division, they're down the lower leagues and probably never return anytime soon. So for me fight to the death, it's all about pride, we are Everton and we've always fought against the odds, and survived!

What is the latest on McNeils recovery/ diagnosis?

Singing the Blues

1.) 11 Jan 2024 08:41:08
He will miss a few games. Diagnosis: he should have been subbed riot to the injury, lad was running on empty.

Two interesting stats so far this season and some credit to SD.
1st for most tackles in league so far.
2nd for most shots in league so far.

Singing the Blues

1.) 09 Oct 2023 07:30:58
Backs up the fact that the effort and attacking threat is there, we have just lacked that bit of luck and composure.

Never going to be a quick fix but SD slowly getting there, we just need to bring it all together more consistently and be more clinical.

2.) 09 Oct 2023 12:56:16
Some if it has to come down to quality. We have the squad we have and are still creating a good number of chances. Hopefully the likes of Harrison, Garner, McNeil, Dacoure and Danjuma can all chip in. The fact that we managed a 3-0 victory without DCL scoring is something to celebrate. If we escape punishment in a couple of weeks, add one in January and a couple in July, we could end up with a half decent squad.

3.) 10 Oct 2023 08:51:04
And Beto.

4.) 10 Oct 2023 15:21:32
Yep, him too.

5.) 11 Oct 2023 13:16:32
Not sure about Beto, early days I appreciate but from what I’ve seen so far in EPL games he looks like another Tosan.
Hope I’m wrong but I’ve been more impressed with the movement and pace of Chermiti when he has come on and think he would be better support for DCL.

6.) 11 Oct 2023 14:34:43
Far too early to judge in my opinion FS.

17 Sep 2023 21:28:03
SD has a couple of games to get results. It was a disappointment to watch that performance today. But we can never go toe to toe with Arsenal at the moment. The thing that concerned me was that we looked lost and didn’t know whether to play out from the back or go direct. If we are to play direct which is probably the best against opponents like them we chase the 2nd balls and play into the channels with the crowd behind us and play high tempo.
If we start playing out from the back then we need creative midfielders who can make things happen. The striker becomes isolated on his own and too far from defenders or Pickford.
I am always supportive of our Managers and think SD deserves a chance we have been u fortunate in other games this season.
If things don’t go to plan my contingency would be to speak with Roberto Martinez as frustrated as I was with our defence under his time. We were exciting to watch and had a go with possession. And players played with confidence wanting the ball. I believe Pickford, Tarkowski, Branthwaite and Mykolenko can play out from the back. Garner and Onana or Doucoure as ball players in cm. We do need creativity from somewhere though. We do have strikers now at least. Let’s see what happens in the near future.

Singing the Blues

1.) 17 Sep 2023 23:08:11
We didn't even try to go toe to toe with them. It was a pathetic effort from the team. On the rare occasion we got the ball we gave it away.
There is no excuse for a performance like that. Tactics were awful, substitutions were baffling (again) . But the most worrying thing is we looked and played like a relegation team.

2.) 18 Sep 2023 04:00:53
Would you have Bobby back STB? I must be honest and say I was sorry he went. Under another owner he would have not been fired. We will never know what we could have achieved with him.

3.) 18 Sep 2023 08:25:09
I would have him back. Yes.

4.) 18 Sep 2023 12:20:44
maybe go for big sam before united or chelsea get him.

5.) 18 Sep 2023 13:12:36
Everyone still pretending Martinez was sacked after the 2013-14 season it seems.

Failed with the best Belgium team of all time.

6.) 18 Sep 2023 13:21:35
If I was Martinez and the way he was shafted, I wouldn't come anywhere near. Moshri may have best intentions for the Club but he never listens/ ed to football people, that is obvious.

7.) 18 Sep 2023 16:40:48
RM was hardly shafted, he simply couldn't replicate the form of his first season in charge and he needed putting out of his misery. Most fans agreed at the time, surprising that some are advocating for him now tbh.

8.) 18 Sep 2023 17:21:54
It’s because a large portion of our fanbase have a REALLY weird obsession with ex players and managers. Never see it with any other club, but we are always desperate to bring back old managers. Moyes, Martinez, Silva, Ancelotti all in the space of 18 months. Barkley, Deulofeu, Rodwell, Lundstram, Vlasic, Niasse, James etc in the last 2 years. It’s very strange.

9.) 18 Sep 2023 18:24:26
Agreed, swan. I'm not opposed to having them in if they have anything to offer but the names being mentioned snack of desperation. That same d, can't really blame people for that, this board and owner have got us all demented with the way the club has gone.

19 Mar 2023 13:11:57
Should Simms start v Spurs next game? Where will Gray them play? IF DCL is fit would we start him over Simms or Gray?

Singing the Blues

1.) 19 Mar 2023 13:26:25
Don’t think we will see DCL much this season mate, I would put Simms up front with McNeil maybe a good partnership could happen.

2.) 19 Mar 2023 13:42:13
Gray starts for me. Glad to see Simms finally do well but I think an impact sub with 15mins to go is perfect for him considering the pressure of a relegation fight and his previous beige performances to date. He's young and doesn't deserve to be hung out to dry. Nor does Gray deserve to be benched again. Simms will be very happy to have made himself an option in SDs eyes and should definitely come on every game to end of season. And I hope he does the business again from the bench and opposition depending, gets a start or 2 but he's not quite ready yet to be the main man. Let's not kill the kid.

3.) 19 Mar 2023 13:44:16
I’d drop Gueye and go 4-4-2.

Gueye always looks like he’s got a booking in him and I actually think we played quite well when he went off.

4.) 19 Mar 2023 13:59:12
He is not a kid, he is 22. We need a striker who can score goals and is strong enough to go up against bit centre-backs. He needs a chance and we don't have anyone else.

5.) 19 Mar 2023 15:07:50
Simms needs a run of games from the start, he’s the type of striker that we need, he needs to gain confidence in himself and that can only happen if the manager plays him from the start. Gray should go to the bench to make way, Gray can come on and in the 2nd half to keep the pressure on
Gueye was our best player against Brentford for me Onna looks lost at times, he seems to be in no man’s land, he needs to get involved more
Godfrey looked at bit suspect yesterday and his use of the ball was terrible at times, I was very surprised by The substitution by taking off Coleman ( unless injured) I thought a straight swap for Godfrey.

6.) 19 Mar 2023 15:09:35
I would only imagine that if SD does not start him, then he must see him as 'impact' atm?
Personally I hope that's not the case, and he does start because from my armchair seat, after that very good goal against CFC he surely is champing at the bit to bang in some more?

7.) 19 Mar 2023 15:55:56
I don’t think it was fair tbh to give him his start in the derby. He done ok when he came on at home when he put Doucoure clean through.
Personally I would start him next game as strikers are all about confidence and with the crowd behind us too and hopefully Spurs unrest continues.
It would be harsh to drop Gray so maybe play him instead of Iwobi or as GingerDan said play 442 but with gray dropping in and more of a free role.
Also would like to see Garner get the chance to see what he can do bringing him off the bench to replace Gueye in games. Tbf to Gueye I don’t think he was meant to play as many games as he has considering his age.
I would also like Patterson coming in but wow how good as Seamus been over the last few weeks since coming in!
UTFT.

8.) 19 Mar 2023 15:56:37
Start Simms move Gray out wide and drop Iwobi who was shocking yesterday.

9.) 19 Mar 2023 17:55:03
I’d play McNeil and Gray on the wings, with Simms upfront and Iwobi in the middle. Would need to drop Gueye to accommodate though.

10.) 19 Mar 2023 18:12:30
I’d drop Iwobi back into the midfield 3 and drop Guaye. Move Gray to the right and stick Ellis up top for a game, give McNeil something to aim at.

11.) 19 Mar 2023 18:46:36
I'd let Sean pick who he wants to play in whatever position he wants to play them. Isn't doing to bad in my opinion. See's and knows more than anyone on here.

12.) 19 Mar 2023 21:09:47
Let's give the lad some space to breathe, it's one game and one goal so let's not get too carried away and put any undue pressure on him to continue that form. Don't get me wrong, I'm more than happy that he is up and running but I think he should still be coming off the bench for the next few games. Score a few more and then a starting place is deserved. Before yesterday, he's had a bit of a mixed bag when playing for us. Yesterday, he took the piss out of a quality CB so he definitely has something about him. If we can get another 4 or 5 goals out of him before the end of the season then it was right to bring him back. Really want this lad to kick on and make himself a career with us, fingers crossed lads ??.

13.) 19 Mar 2023 21:45:35
Don’t be daft Big Reg…

I’d pick Simms up front and play Biscuit out on the wing to run the channel. Dorris the tea lady in midfield to distract everyone with a giant table of tea cakes and the like. I’d make Anders Limpar captain and play 15 outfield players like a Rugby Union team.

We could get something from the game then….

14.) 20 Mar 2023 23:24:49
Think you might have misunderstood a rumours/ banter site Reg mate. No opinions, no site.

Kudus will be a replacement for AG if it goes through. We will get Broja or Batshuyai on loan and make coady permanent. The option to take Gilmore also is there.

I seen a report on Watkins leaving Villa having not see eye to eye with SG and now they are buying Sarr could this be a possibility? I think he would suit us tbh he works hard for the team and still has potential to improve further.

Ed025 any more updates on striker? Not going to be today then? Come on we need to know, we won’t hold it against you if it doesn’t come off. Lol.

{Ed025's Note - give it until Friday STB as the Gordon speculation may change things. Then I will spill the beans..

Brereton Diaz Ed 025 said it's not him.
Broja Ed 02 said it's not him.
Semenyo is injured
Milik wants champions league according to Ed 025
Che Adams would be a stop gap which ed 025 said it wasn't.
That leaves Batshuyai and Niang.

My money would be on Batshuyai.

Harsh on Beto that. He’s a presence and worked hard. It’s great that we actually have two strikers now.
Young impressed me today showing his experience and positioning. Tarks and Branthwaite look solid, Tarks a leader and always a threat attacking set pieces. Some of Branthwaite reading of the game today and interceptions was excellent, also good on The ball. Gueye did get caught out and against better teams we will get punished. I would prefer Garner pushed into the centre once Harrison is fit.

Onana was better first half and looked like the player he did when he first arrived, still more to come from him but he kept the ball well first half. Doucoure and McNeil both worked their socks off all game. Doucoure unlucky not to get another goal. McNeil delivery is such a weapon we have missed. I look forward to Ali coming back into team and push Doucoure for that AMC role.
