My mate used to be in the Everton youth ranks. Kept in touch with a few youth team admins. Shawcross is done for £8 million. Medical tomorrow.

If it's true, then it's an interesting choice of player by Roberto Martinez. Ryan Shawcross seems more of a David Moyes type of player.
Also, the supposed fee of £8 millions seems way lower than what Stoke City would demand for him - is the player near the end of his current contract?

You can keep Holtby, big Evertonion, till it came to money, then suddenly, Spur were his first choice.

Ghana Football Association have confirmed Atsu has joined Everton on season long loan. Coyb

1.) Is there a link to that story because the official website has nothing.

2.) Nothing on Ghana Football Association web site at all. Where do people get this info from?

David Henen and Christian Atsu deals should be done by start of play Monday. Interest shown towards Christophe Kramer but the player himself unlikely to make the move although his parent club are listening to worthwhile deals.

I really, really don't want him even if he paid us.

2.) If RM thinks that any player could be effective for Everton, then I'll support him, but imho we need to build on last season or at least consolidate - and definitely not fall back. Without massive funds - and without Champions League football - we're limited as to which players we can bring in, so I'm intrigued as to who RM can secure - permanent and loan, domestic and foreign - during this transfer window. I just don't see him bringing in any old inferior players just to boost the numbers - I'm sure he'd give a promising U-21 and U-18 player a chance first.

Heard from a very reliable source that Everton One have been making Lukaku shirts with the number 10. Hoping ssn report is just to keep the intensity going. i'd also go for Javier Hernandez. Your thoughts Ed?

Martinez has said he wants 1 Ms and 3 attackers, he has also previously talked about strengthening the squad and at the start of the summer he only mentioned 2 players by name - Gareth Barry and Romelu Lukaku - I'm pretty sure he must be confident of getting them both if mentioning targets by name - he would look silly if we didnt

1.) Im with you on that one ed, good impact player at best and never will be a 20 goals a season player.If possible why not have a poll on the subject to see how many blues agree with us.

2.) Not for me neither. Most definitely won't get us 20 a season

3.) I think he would to be honest he has always been mainly used as a sub but never had a fair crack at starting games at the right price I would love him such a threat in the box and his movement is class knows where to be

We need a striker who is big and powerful, hernandez is neither, he also has a woeful first touch and seems to get the ball deflected off his knee or something and he gets the goal, and mate, he hasn't started a lot of games but when he has, he's failed, no tar
