Alfonso Pedraza, a powerful left winger at Villareal has been linked with a summer move for £2 million. Because we clearly need more wingers.

Stevo

1.) 01 Mar 2016 11:17:15
Another winger pathetic.

2.) 01 Mar 2016 11:31:58
Think it's a ' one for the future' signing.think he is predominantly left footed too, which we are missing.

3.) 01 Mar 2016 21:08:10
To be fair we could do with a left footed midfielder help the balance of the team

Apparently Yarmolenkos agent was at Goodison on Wednesday because of his other client, goalkeeper Denys Bokyo.

Have heard we're being linked with Oriol Riera from Osasuna. Seems a bit far fetched seeing as he only joined them in the summer, but could be a cracking replacement for Jelavic if true

Starting to sound official now. Sportitalia are reporting that Everton have made an offer worth £7.7m for Jorginho including a future clause giving Verona 20 per cent of any future sale.

Stevo

1.) It worries me that we could spend 7.7million on a player who's only proved himself in the serie B, that's like buying a player from somewhere in between the championship and league one for 7 million. Will he be able to make the step up to the EPL?.

2.) Sound good Stevo. But his age and Barkley is too close. I concern one of this 2 top class rising star improvement will be shocked stop.

3.) I have had a quick look at this fella on you tube and from what is see he looks quite good. Nice first touch, good awareness and can pick a pass. Lots of clips have him picking the ball up in own 18yard box so looks good for tracking back. Honestly I am really struggling to pick a starting 11 now lol!

4.) Don't believe this rumour, just lazy paper talk.

The guardian are now saying that Moyes is DELIBERATELY waiting till after the 31st July deadline to put a bid in for Fellaini, because he reckons he can get him cheaper than £23 million. He also sees Fabregas as the priority and Fellaini as a last resort (way to boost someone's confidence, Moyesey). Maybe I'm being naieve but I personally feel Moyes won't make a serious approach for Baines or Felli and even if he did, it certainly wouldn't come out in the press before hand like he's doing with his pursuit of Fabregas. If I'm wrong then shoot me, but I feel Moyes has too much respect for Everton to do that

Stevo

1.) Pretty pointless waiting til after the deadline, we can still accept less now too, but we're not going to.

2.) Moyes has no respect for anyone, and is totally lacking in anything approching principals!

3.) If I was him i'd try to sign him now because once that clause expires the asking price will be higher and rightly so, If Bale is worth £90 mill then Fellaini is a snip at £30 mill.

If we can only get £25m for Barkley then I'd like to see us let him run out his contract rather than sell. If Arsenal are willing to do it with Sanchez then why not us? Even with Rooney, Klaasen, Sandro and Sigurdsson (maybe) there is still room for him to play in the first team - let him get a few games early on and make him feel a big part of the team. If we're doing well mid season then offer him another contract and see what happens.

Stevo

1.) 09 Aug 2017 13:59:53
Take the money and invest, he wants out so get rid asp.

2.) 09 Aug 2017 14:11:05
Huge difference between the two scenarios, sanchez is a key player who the manager would hate to lose, ross barkley is now, hate to say it, a squad player who is out of favour with our manager, no future of playing so what's the point in keeping. get rid.

3.) 09 Aug 2017 14:15:12
Just curious on this, has Barkley submitted a transfer request? You hear about Mahrez and Van Dijk submitting one but nothing about Ross handing one in.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

4.) 09 Aug 2017 14:59:35
take what we can get, and invest it in someone who wants to be here, what they may lack in insperation, will at least be made up for in persperation, box to box and comeing back, quickly when we lose posesion.

5.) 09 Aug 2017 16:56:18
If you listened to the debate on sky sports last night Alan Pardew was talking about those scenarios, he said usually this comes from the agent when player terms are on the table with another club, it's a way of starting the fee negotiations.
reason Ross has not done that is there is nothing on table yet, even if he wanted to leave he could of signed a contract worth 120k a week and been settled his move would of come eventually as long as he performed
Spurs would have to smash there wage structure as no one on over 100k there then you would have a knock on effect, this team has come 2 seasons to early with stadium move there my team to drop out of top 4 next season.

{Ed025's Note - actually kane and loris are on £125k a week metz but you are right about the rest mate..

I think Everton have been incredibly smart recently. from Koeman playing the kids in first team to Baxters contract and the great U23 squad, we've been deliberately advertising ourselves as a place where young players can come and do well, and be looked after. Perhaps that Emerson rumour has some substance to it

Stevo

1.) 30 Jan 2017 09:29:25
Time will tell (I hope to heck it is not a short time) on Baxter, he is a very lucky lad that's all I can say. The rest I agree on.

2.) 30 Jan 2017 16:44:50
Didn't think of it like that before Stevo, but think your spot on. We are certainly getting a reputation for developing young players now, and giving them opportunities. Long may it continue.

10 Aug 2016 12:20:35
Reading between the lines it looks like Williams is a done deal but Kone is up in the air - he will stay at Sunderland as long as they offer him a new contract, otherwise we'll sign him at an inflated price. Niasse will go out on loan for no fee but with £45k wages covered. All the rest is twitter fluff, I think we'll sign a couple more but they'll be completely unexpected.

Stevo

1.) 10 Aug 2016 13:12:02
Williams told an EFC supporter last night he'd signed and also signed some shirts and posed for photos with them.

09 Aug 2016 12:16:26
Can't understand why Stones wouldn't want at least a year under the greatest ball playing defenders to ever play the game. Good riddance I suppose.

Ed, any idea if Koulibaly might still be on the cards?

Stevo

{Ed002's Note - You should have more respect for Everton players - leaving or not. I have answered repeatedly about KK.}

1.) 09 Aug 2016 13:07:56
Agree with ed. he hasn't gone shouting his mouth like lukaku supposedly has. we all knew last summit that we would have the season with him then he would be gone. good luck to the lad, apart from playing against us.

2.) 09 Aug 2016 13:16:36
People have a right to opinions ed even if no one agrees with them.

{Ed002's Note - As I have previously explained the septic support given in the recent past by Everton supports is the reason why the club are reluctant to engage. I am sure you also no doubt see all Everton players as a waste of space and unwanted deadwood - that is typical of the modern fuck-witted supporter.}

3.) 09 Aug 2016 14:03:22
I'm happy for the lad, but sad to see him leave - it certainly isn't good riddance! And why would he want to stay when supporters have that attitude toward him?

4.) 09 Aug 2016 15:24:21
To many small minded individuals on here, I personally will miss Stones and indeed would have liked to see him alongside Williams who I'm sure will be a great defensive stalwart for us. Stones is the most versatile defender in the premier and could easily sat in front of a back four or perfect with three CB's.
I wish him all the best he has had a rough ride from a lot of so called supporters over the last year!

{Ed001's Note - it is not small minded to not rate a player mate. He has been woeful for you, despite all the hype. It was ridiculous for such a poor defender. You should just be glad Citeh's scouting is so utterly useless when it comes to finding players in recent years, or they might have signed a defender, rather than a youngster who thinks he is the reincarnation of Beckenbauer but has not even learnt to do the basics yet.}

5.) 09 Aug 2016 16:00:06
He has youth on his side and you are never to old to learn, its just the right manager and defensive coach getting the best from him. Unfortunately like so many other its to much to young!

05 Aug 2016 11:20:58
I hear we're the 'English club' who has bid £16.75m for Slimani. If its true that he's handed in a transfer request to Sporting then it could finally be happening. Southampton also linked but probably a result of previous interest from Koeman? Regardless we should be able to outbid them anyway (god it sounds good to say that! )

Stevo

1.) 05 Aug 2016 14:00:10
Get him! He would be a great asset, class forward.

Chelsea are chasing Belotti, and if they pull it off then Batshuayi will be surplus. can't see them selling but a loan deal would be a good option.

I'd expect they want a bit of clarity on Barkley and other transfers (left sided defender) before upping their bid. If Ross stays then that gives us Barkley, Klaasen, Rooney and maybe Dowell who can play at number 10. Is it really worth blowing the rest of the summer budget on one player who we don't really need?

£18m seems pretty fair to me, why throw money away when the player wants to come to us? There's a few clubs greedily eyeing up Moshiri's wallet, United are just playing the game same as us.

Stevo

{Ed025's Note - united are considering offers from abroad as well stevo, a couple of the bigger sides want him on loan with a view to buy so its up to us now mate if we pay the fee..

To be fair, if they were starting with a clean site then 2 years is a realistic build out time, leaving well over a year to consult and secure relevant permissions. Wildly optimistic, but possible.

We've put up with some right rubbish this year, so I'll clutch onto any ray of sunshine I can get right now. This is a rumours site after all.

Why would transfer fee be different to a club in CL? QPR won't care, as long as they get paid. Remy might want higher wages of course. If he's failed a medical then there is no way we'd offer a contract on 80k+ a week anyway so no chance he'll end up at Goodison

Telling Kone he'll get a contract on 1st September is classic Moyes. We all know what he's like. Clearly much more to this story than Kone holding Sunderland to ransom for a better deal.

He'll make anyone interested in his players pay well over the odds, and ensure the player leaves with reputation in shreds, labelled a 'moneygrabber' or a traitor by forcing a move.

He's 29 not 39. Same age as Baines, and plays a much less energetic role. I reckon he would slot right in. Holds the ball up well, could play across front three and has that final ball we've been missing.
