I'm not having a go here Toffees.
But you're all raving about Stones.
Now I haven't seen that much of him admittedly, but what happened at Anfield?
Was it just a bad day at the office for him or what?

The Juicer

{Ed025's Note - he was played out of position mate, he was filling in as a full back actually...believe me..you will hear a lot about him in the future..

1.) Too right ed. The kids the new bobby moore and that's saying summit

2.) He's only 19 but plays well above his years and yes has made some mistakes but in his position that happens, he is showing signs already of a great player like today against the gooners. I have watched everton since six years old and now 40 and have to say we have a gem for the the future. COYB.

3.) The only worrying thing with this is where does jags fit back in, I'm a huge fan of jags but have to say stones passing is a lot better which has been shown in our past six wins, RM has some thinking to do.

4.) Having 3 very good centre backs allows us to rotate when necessary and rest the likes of Distin who will not last forever, Stones can also allow coleman a rest in the right back role when needed.

5.) Wasn't he bought as a right back?
As said, it'll be interesting to see if he retains his place in the run-in.
Nice to see young players picked up from the lower leagues get their chance though.
I personally would also like to see Everton play European football next season, hopefully CL and not the curse that is the Europa League.

6.) Cheers Juicer, I am not sure if Moyes bought Stones specifically as a right back but he does have a talent for spotting a good defender when he sees one (not all the time though) I am glad he did sign Stones though that's for sure.

7.) Best ball playing centre half to grace Goodison since T.G. Jones IMO and that's accolade for one so young

8.) I had to google TG Jones but its some high praise that. Bobby Moore as well.
Hmmm. Food for thought.

Reading this lot tonight, I think Bill Kenwright has turned EFC into one of his beloved West End shows - Les Miserables!
Happy days eh ed?

The Juicer

{Ed025's Note - not happy at all juicer..we got exactly what the team and manager deserved tonight...but a big thank you to those guys and gals who travelled over to the ukraine at much expense they were fantastic, and were let down badly..

If the manager and players had any credibility they should all club together and compensate all those fans who went to the trouble to support them. Pity the support isn't reciprocated. Sure none would miss a weeks wage for that poor performance.

{Ed025's Note - they should mate..

The Juicer

1.) Sorry lads. Looks like I've jinxed you there. Haha.

Judith Chalmers has gave their last five team talks (you've got to be a certain age for this one as well, haha).

Haha, why mention it then?
Or was it a bit of fact to gloss the story?
You know yourself how lengthy and detailed is the need for public consultation before anything is even up and running. Ask the residents around the park how they feel about losing their green space and plonking a new football ground there?
No chance.

The Juicer

{Ed025's Note - lets hope your wrong mate, surely you cant be that selfish that you want liverpool to progress and everton stand still?...oh wait.. :)

Great little thread this.
Just finished reading Jimmy Case's book and he mentions that, back in the day, Phil Neal and Alan Kennedy had sponsored cars from Lada!
Back when they were glorified two-stroke second hand lawn mowers. LMAO.

The Juicer

{Ed025's Note - i think they had food mixer engines juicer.. :)
