Great news about Pickford he's got a great future. still not convinced by Silva but will support him anyway but he needs a win, a performance and a clean sheet to take the immediate pressure off that allows him to shape his team. let's hope he gets it!

Does anyone know why we are playing league cup next week but no one else is?

1.) 27 Sep 2018 22:44:51
To fit in with that red lot.

2.) 28 Sep 2018 16:27:11
Chelsea did not want to play Their game on the Tuesday, the Reds were happy to play either Day, it was to accommodate Chelsea not our neighbours, so we chose to play the following week, rather than last Tuesday.

Should we beat Southampton, we will not have the same scenario in the next round.

17 Sep 2018 22:37:17
So what's changed? . since Moyes left what has actually changed? . other than shelling out over the odds for average players and promises of success from a billionaire investor nothing has changed.
Same old story. injuries, bad luck, poor decisions are the same excuses being used from Martinez and before long Silva too.

How can an unproven manager who jumps ship more often than Uncle Albert be the answer?
Yet again we have the promise and all die hard fans are sucked into the "plan". what we actually have is 6 points from what should be 15 with probably the easiest start to a season any manager could hope for never mind a new one with a statement to make.

Why o why is it always Everton that allow the "bad run" to end be it a team or individual player?
The kids are not good enough, Schneiderlen is not good enough, Tosun is not good enough. I could go on!
Ferguson must go and Silva needs to show very quickly why the owners have put so much faith in him because I for one cannot see it!

1.) 18 Sep 2018 06:44:29
kids aren't good enough yet kenny was one of best on the pitch, morgan not good enough yet we have fell apart every time he hasn't been on the pitch.
you talk about getting sucked into the plan then proceed to waffle about statements to be made? is that not the same thing, suck it up mate and either support or go follow city if you just want an easy ride.

2.) 18 Sep 2018 07:28:09
Jumping on the manager after 5 games is just ridiculous. I'm pretty sure every one of us would want more points than we have. Yes some did get a little carried away with all the optimism but if the alternative is just being miserable and banging on about Moyes then sorry I'll be with optimists.
Things may not work out you may be right, but excuses or not you cannot say injuries/ suspensions have done Silva any favors.
We bought in a lot of players, but unlike other coaches Silva did not try and rush them all into the team, he was patient and it was looking OK. Silly suspensions and a few injuries later and he has been forced to play players who either aren't ready or aren't in form.
Recruitment wise Richarlison, Digne both look class, Bernard showed he may be too and they are all new recruits. There is plenty still to be optimistic about but for some reason you would prefer not to see it!

3.) 18 Sep 2018 09:10:40
Some did the exact same thing last season with Koeman and look at the teams we had to play then in the first 6 games. Will Silva last past Christmas? Injuries will play no more bigger part than it did for Koeman. What will, is the fans ability to stay patient with the management and team until they gel. Silva's change in playing style may give him a little more leeway with some but as you can see some fans are not happy already. For me its fundamentally down to the argument of what type of football are we prepared to watch. Pragmatic football based around defensive solidity that gets results occasional wins mainly draws, but not pretty to watch or a more expansive attacking game that is high risk in the fact that we need to score more than concede. To me it looks like the same situation ManU are currently in the process of trying to figure out with Mourinho. It's said patience is a virtue and I can see why. Patience is what we need but whether Silva get enough, time will tell.

4.) 20 Sep 2018 15:46:35
You can look for blame in so many ways but quite simply defensive errors like a suicidal throw out by Pickford, ball watching centre backs and strikers that could not hit the pre verbial barn door!
Ifs and buts except the outcome and the post motel would have been very different!

Eds. what is your true feeling on Silva?
Is he "safe" or are the club prepared to renege on the statement's made to date ref a "building process". we are so so poor at present and cannot believe that any board would tolerate this for much longer.
Have we got a fraud running our club?

{Ed025's Note - no manager is ever safe trev, results will dictate how long he stays and the way we are going it wont be very long, we need a modicum of success if the transition to the new stadium is to go smoothly which means a top half finish at least, but we are in freefall at the moment and that cant be allowed to continue mate..

1.) 03 Feb 2019 09:32:12
Tricky! We have not got a fraud running the Club at all. What I do know is that Mr Moshri is not a football man. What I do not know (I have suspicions) , is who/ from where does Mr Moshri get his advice. On the outside looking in Mr Moshri's source of advice needs a major overhaul. I get hammered for being negative but the truth is, I love this Club and it is breaking my heart akin to seeing my beloved GrandSon switch allegiance to the darkside. Seen em come, seen em go, this has to be among the worse era's.

{Ed002's Note - Moshiri is not "running the club", he is the "owner of the club". As I explained at the time, the "source of advice" that led to Marco Silva being appointed was making a mistake. It was also a mistake to let Brands and Silva run wild with the money ending up with what is now a very lop-sided squad, still needing money spent - which will now have to be raised predominently through sales.}

2.) 03 Feb 2019 09:38:04
Tricky before you start building make sure the foundations are sound.

3.) 03 Feb 2019 10:13:12
Fraud? Don’t frauds take money rather than put money in?

4.) 03 Feb 2019 10:20:36
DFS. I absolutely feel your pain. This is a very frustrating period where we finally have the resources needed to at least get some daylight between us and let’s say 8th place down and we seem to have squandered it away. We are in the thick of mid table mediocrity and here I am thinking I hope it doesn’t get any worse. We’ve had two summers now in which to find a goals scorer and it’s not happened. Despite spending big. Yet apparently the January window is not the right time to get one. Well when is I ask?

5.) 03 Feb 2019 10:54:58
So what you saying ed is brands to blame as well thought he was our saviour everyone saying how good he is . also if FM Appointed brands and silver is that not part of running the club I'm. only asking so don't bite my head off.

{Ed002's Note - Brands was appointed after taking advice from a third party. Moshiri is a businessman who has the club as one of his investments. He is not a hands on owner of the club, and you cannot expect him to be. Brands has an excellent reputation from his time at PSV and is well known throughout the world of football - he communicates well and has the right contacts. But he is a strategist who relies on good scouting staff and indeed the coaching staff doing their job. Led by Silva and full of Silva's own people aside from Duncan Ferguson - who the Everton fans have also turned on because they don't know who the rest of the coaching staff are.}

6.) 03 Feb 2019 12:20:54
Ok thanks ed, there is probably lots we don't know 👍.

{Ed002's Note - The owner wants to increase the profile of the club, and that cannot be something that happens overnight.}

7.) 03 Feb 2019 14:15:46
Agree with everything Ed002 says. Did not mean to give the impression that Mr Moshri was running the Club. I have mentioned before who I believe still has influence in the Club and also believe the person should be non-executive. I like Brands.

01 Jan 2019 16:48:34
That was as bad as I've ever seen. No progress at all!

1.) 01 Jan 2019 17:43:29
Gave the ball away again to easy, passing was bad, but remember they have beat city and Chelsea.

2.) 01 Jan 2019 18:01:24
Been bad since Liverpool game but this was really poor. I have been criticised for saying this before but this really is Martinez Mark II.

3.) 01 Jan 2019 19:32:44
So true so very true ktf.

4.) 01 Jan 2019 19:56:52
No progress? Are you seriously saying that the football we have been watching this season isn't a step up from SA? Maybe you need to you tube a few clips from last season.
We are progressing very slowly but surely.
They did just beat city and chelsea as was pointed out.
He's had 1 window. Let him have 2 seasons and then have a pop if needed.
Klopp asked for 4 seasons to win the league and this is his 4th.
Not saying they will win but he has balances that side over 4 seasons.
Silva and brands have had 4 months.
Relax . Remember shouting and calling for Kendalls head?
A strong chairman who had belief in his manager brought us glory.
Nothing else.

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Liverpool. Do you think another two seasons of wasting money and going backward will suit the Everton owners and sponsors?}

5.) 01 Jan 2019 20:01:34
R u for real? Or are you playing devils advocate?
I don't care about sponsors and why do you think it will be 2 seasons of wasting money? I respect your opinion yet I feel it's from a very negative and dismissive recess of your mind.
Give him time.

{Ed002's Note - Utter tripe.}

6.) 01 Jan 2019 20:21:15
Hahaha good one.
Ed you seem to have a negative attitude towards Evertons regime. why?
You call me stupid? I will prove I know people in the club with this following statement. lookman will be sold. He flys back to Germany to see his gf. He's not injured.
You can't beat that. I've heard your pods and I've seen your opinions on here. I ain't been impressed.
I have faith that we have got it right this time because I know the feeling in the club.
You just dismiss everything. Maybe because you're a red. I don't know.
Stupid? I am far from it.
All the best x.

{Ed002's Note - Please don't listen to the Sharkopods or read anything I write. I have provided honest opinions and if you want me to stop providing anything to the Everton page for now, please just say and there will be nothing else at all. Then you can accuse the other Eds and posters of putting up "utter tosh" without any explanation. To be honest, you seem like a complete jerk to me I am afraid, but I will be more than happy to stop posting here if you like.}

7.) 01 Jan 2019 20:43:34
Omg you're so menstrual. Give it out but can't be criticised in any way shape or form?
Didn't mean to hurt your feelings.
Just don't like being called stupid by a complete stranger.
Chin up buttercup x.

{Ed002's Note - You just said I did not respond to this. You seem to be well beyond half wit. Do you realise how embarrassing you are being for the Everton supporters?}

8.) 01 Jan 2019 20:48:03
Well I for one do not wish you to stop posting Ed002. Your comments and knowledge about the game is much appreciated. I did note your comments about Silva and was hoping that you were wrong in your assessment. However, since the Liverpool game we have been a shambles apart from the Burnley game. Obviously as a supporter I want the team and Silva to succeed but until the deficiencies in the squad are corrected and the players start functioning like a team we will see much of the same I am afraid. Not sure if Silva did go who would want the job?

{Ed002's Note - Silva was never going to be a long term solution as I said. The team is imbalanced and that needs to be addressed. The striker situation needs to be addressed. Brands should know better - Silva doesn’t I am afraid. Silva has now been accused of telling lies during his Press Conference by your expert Pauly it seems. Lookman has not been injured but off to see his chick. Big news and bad news for the fans once they realise Silva is now a liar according to the on site expert.}

9.) 01 Jan 2019 20:57:45
Oh ed I never said shop posting. Just watch what happens. The same man told me holgate would be gone in jan.
Stop acting like a victim.
Now you've got posters saying it please ed don't stop. I never once said stop posting.
As for being am embarrassment to efc supporters? They're doing a good enough job themselves without me taking credit.

{Ed002's Note - It looks to me that the supporters want you to keep sharing all of your knowledge - let us know who will be replacing the liar.}

10 Dec 2018 22:21:29
That was poor. Coleman, Walcott both very poor and just don't work together.
Thought Bernard was also below par .
Tosun is never going to be a Premier league player so think we need to cut out losses.
Think the Liverpool game has knocked us for 6 as 2 games that were "dead certs" have seen 4 points dropped.
Really not looking forward to Saturday now.

I do now see why Lookman doesn't get a game as again he was poor.

1.) 10 Dec 2018 23:40:04
Using the Liverpool game as an excuse is putting your head in the sand Trev, the fact is we are no more than very average at best.

2.) 11 Dec 2018 00:23:02
Think I must have been watching a different game, I thought Bernard put in a shift both in attack and chasing back, one of his better games, made the odd stray ball but I thought he played fine.

For me it went out of shape when we threw Lookman, Calvert Lewin and Tosun on.

Personally I would have put two of them on with Tom Davies supporting in midfield.

What we did learn is a couple of forwards are needed to take us to the next level and let Lookman, Tosun and Niasse find other clubs, none of the these will give us the goals on a regular basis.

02 Dec 2018 21:05:33
Thank you Mr Silva for restoring "the derby". cannot remember the last time I watched a derby from start to finish without wanting to go and put my head in the oven.
Forget the result as it was one unbelievable individual error but the performance was immense and shows how far we've come in such a short space of time.
Even enjoyed Klopps "invasion" as it underlines the passion. also a big compliment as I can't recall any other one of their managers so excited to beat us. he said we are the best he's seen and he is right.
Lookman to start and 6 points by next Monday night and things will really start to get exciting!

{Ed025's Note - im proud but gutted trev..

28 Oct 2018 22:03:38
Love Coleman to bits but I really think it's time we changed the RB position.
He's been an absolute rock for us over the years but he's just far too predictable and gives the ball away far too often for my liking.
I'd use him for cup runs and either give Kenny a long run or wait for January and enter the market.
Also Lookman has to start. he will be a class player given a run. and a better option than Walcott I believe.
My other concern is how does Mina get a game as to drop either Keane or Zouma would be unfair yet I'm desperate to see what all the fuss was about.
Silva starting to prove his worth with the displays and more so the maturity of his post match comments. only better times to come.

1.) 28 Oct 2018 22:38:44
Agree, thought it for a few weeks now that Seamus has lost a yard of pace. He can still do a job but feel against better players he will get found out. He doesn’t seem to get forward as much as he used to. It’s a shame but like Baines it happens to everyone. I don’t doubt he still has the passion and we still love our 60k player.
Walcott is still a good player but had a poor game today and no player is guaranteed to start and it’s good that we have competition for places. Lookman on form looks a threat and deserves his chance.
Richarlison should be moved out to the left as I think Bernard needs time to adapt to the English game but when he does he will be a top player.
A Striker must be a priority ASAP Tosun is not a first choice striker and DCL is still learning.
It’s good that we have options though.

2.) 28 Oct 2018 23:04:40
Keep singing yes do agree with you, United where pretty good today and we are a long way off being a top club but going in the right direction I think.

3.) 29 Oct 2018 05:59:58
I disagree with most of that. I think we were in that game. I think we created chances. I think in another game we might have sneaked a draw. I think we put a fight up until the last minute and went for a win. I also think it is a million times better than it was the last 3 or 4 seasons. Finally I think if we keep conceding 2 goals, we will not win many games. So although Keane and Zouma may be "playing well", there is a reason we keep conceding goals and I am not blaming Coleman for that. I think we need Mina in and then we will see how we do. We may not be a top 6 side yet, but we are certainly a thousand times better than last season and at least have a platform to build on. The top 6 sides do not concede 2 goals every game. They may score more than us overall, but the main difference is they do not concede as many as us.

4.) 29 Oct 2018 06:50:00
It's not one our best grounds to go to but most of them put in a good shift, but it looks like Walcotts head could be elsewhere. Anyone fancy Vardy the papers are linking him with us again?

{Ed025's Note - we do need a CF penysarn but im not sure that vardy is the answer, hes a bit one dimensional for me mate..

5.) 29 Oct 2018 07:15:23
Your right Eds but he will run all day mate, anyway it's only paper talk again, but what do you thinks going wrong will Walcott its two weeks running now he's not been himself.

{Ed025's Note - i really dont know penysarn, the link up between him and seamus is not working as well as him and kenny but he has to make it work, he also needs to track back more as he left coleman exposed against their best player mate..

6.) 29 Oct 2018 07:22:02
Good call on vardy being predictable. He relies on pace the good sides nullify him. Said for ages on our flank defenders Baines and Coleman are WB's not FB's and often out of position
We appear to have sorted the LB with Digne though. At risk of repeating myself, recruit a CF (god knows where from though) , a RW and RB (Kenny a run as first choice! ) .

7.) 29 Oct 2018 14:18:46
I was one of the ones who thought we were hard done by in some of early games, the Wolves and Bournemouth games. Some of the refs decisions against us have been nothing short of scandalous. I was at the game yesterday and once again we were robbed by the ref. Both teams had good spells and some good chances but a couple of dodgy decisions has robbed us of a point. It was never a penalty and Smalling should have walked.
I for one cannot wait for VAR to be introduced, because if we had it this season we would be a touch higher up that league.

8.) 29 Oct 2018 16:02:44
Tbh smit I thought smalling shouldve walked in the first half.
For me that was a studs up tackle from behind and how he never got a second booking for the pen is mistifying.
We gave them too much space again and we got overun.
We had the chances to win that game but as soon as he gave that pen to them it was an uphill struggle.
The positive is we kept fighting till the end and deserved at least a point.
We will get there though.

{Ed025's Note - we will get there pauly, on the first issue he could have sent gana off for exactly the same thing (even though we know he got the ball) so we cant really complain mate..

9.) 29 Oct 2018 16:49:51
That's true ed and tbh I thought he was going to book gana.
I still think the smalling tackle from behind would be been a straight red at any other ground.
I'm keeping positive about the result though because we dominated at times in the second half but the referee determined the game and I'm tired of being on the receiving end of such bad decisions.
Arsenal and man Utd have resulted in losses and I just want to see us win those games rather than just have a good performance ya know? I'm happy we did enough in both games but it still goes down as failing against the so called top 6.
I honestly believe we will crash that party soon though so I'm trying hard to keep my patience.
Gomes is going to be one of our greats in my opinion and we need to get in first when he comes up for sale.

{Ed025's Note - martial played very well pauly but for me gomes was the best player on that pitch, he is a superb player and as you say i hope we have first dibs on him mate, we need a quality CF in january and then im sure we will be giving the bigger teams a hard game..

10.) 29 Oct 2018 18:02:56
Spot on ed. Totally agree.
The big question though is just who do we actually buy as a CF?
We need to unearth an unknown gem in my opinion.
That's the only way I can see us getting value for money.
It's a big ask I know but I really believe that's our way forward.
We would have to make a massive bid for any big name goalscorer and let's be honest here we can't offer European football just yet so it would be hard to convince an established name.
We shouldn't be looking at giroud either.
We should look to our scouting network to find the next big goal machine and get him at a reasonable price.

{Ed025's Note - its a tough one pauly, i wanted arnautovic when he left stoke but of course that ship has sailed and he looks chelse bound im hearing, if want a big name then he will of course cost top dollar and even though moshiri is prepared to splash the cash its still a big ask, we may need brands to weave some of his magic mate and as you say get us the next big thing...well heres hoping..

11.) 29 Oct 2018 18:42:04
With most of us and reports saying that Walcot was/ is currently the weak link in the way Mr Silva likes to play then surely now we will see if Mr Silva is as flexible and if not ruthless at least determined in his approach to competition for places. Lookman for sure has shown in his all to brief appearances that he has that change of pace, ability and skill to improve on Walcott. Add the determined Calvert LLewin (spelling) into the equation and we will see what happens against Brighton.

{Ed025's Note - your right BCT we will see how marco deals with the situation and what the pecking order is, as much as i like lookman i still think he is behind bernard and richarlison for that right wing spot and im unsure how he would fare in the right, richie has tried his best at CF but a blind man could see thats not his bag mate so i think we have to play either DCL or tosun, at least until january and hope that the club can get a quality front man in..

12.) 30 Oct 2018 16:40:29
Put in a £60m bid Lukaku 😜.

{Ed025's Note - i think we have moved on from him STB..

Sick of reading all this good guy stuff. niasse is crap and Tosun not fit to lace the boots of Brett Angell and looks like he's lived on a diet of Bass, Sayers and kebabs!
Get a life guys. give the youth a chance.

I'm of the opinion that there are unique matches between clubs and managers. Eddie Howe being a current example.
A Moyes return would be seen a backwards step for probably 95% of supporters and forgiving the way he departed I would happily see him return in an interim role to get the team back to basics.
Silva is another example of the desire to have a foreign manager playing nice football but unfortunately for us he was the best we could attract.
We are a laughing stock with our irresponsible spending and appointment. Silva is not our future nor will he ever be.
Moyes may be spent as a Premier manager force but at least he has (had) a passion for our club. we could do worse!

{Ed0333's Note - you could do worse than Moyes, in fact you did with Alladyce. I agree with you’re irresponsible spending remark, for two seasons in a row you have bought badly (besides Richardson & Digne) and have spent a lot of money in the process. If I were brands I would revolutionize you’re scouting network, invest heavily in the academy oh and get rid of Silva pronto.

Eds sound like bitter blues and should respect the talent Barkley has. bit childish to rubbish him just because he's no longer with us. yes frustrated with his exit but still a talent.

{Ed025's Note - your wrong trev i have always been consistent where ross is concerned, bags of talent but has never grown up and has made some terrible life choices imo mate, as a wavertree lad myself i was desperate for him to do well, this is not sour grapes its an indictment of how fame and fortune have blighted his career and if he turns it around then no one will be happier than me, this is of course just my opinion and you are entitled to yours..
