Roberts took a lot of stick from fans regarding the pre season games, or lack of them last season. what do fans think of the 7 games planned so far? think it's a great gesture by the club to give Big Dunc a testimonial and Goodison will be packed to the rafters to pay homage to the great man.

Hi blues,

I know the exact reason why we have not performed this season and I'm afraid bobby's not to blame. it's my fault. Let me explain. Just before the Dynamo Kiev game I was tidying up my stuff, getting grief from the wife as you do and as I was moving some stuff I found a christmas present, wrapped with a label on to me. I opened it to find an Everton Calendar for 2015, pristine and still in the wrapper. I opened it and moved to the month of March to find a big picture of Rom, I hung it up and had a word with him. " please pull your finger out" I said quietly.

since then he has done just that and the team are looking like the blues of old. Coincidence or am I just a superstitious sod!

Great win last night, I'll have another word for Thursday

Flippin eck Uzbek,

I don't go in for that spooky superstitious stuff me self :(

However do mean to tell me that all the letters to Santa, all those donations to the tooth fairy and most concerning, all that money in the wishing well

Was for nothing and I just needed to talk to a calendar?

fellow bluenoses,

Just for 90 minutes tomorrow can we put all the negativity towards Martinez and certain players and get behind the team FFS. Can we just ram this Derby right down The red rubbish loving media.

Once a blue always a blue

Biggest thing that was noticeable for me is when a ball was played into our number 9 the ball stuck and his first touch was a joy to behold. please take note Romelu.

Well done to all the youngsters proud of you all

I love being an Evertonian and everything it stands for. I get upset when we lose or draw, when we should have won, but i'm always behind the team believing in them.

Ed, this is a great forum for fans to get things off their chest but to be fair some of the negative posts after our recent run of games, 1 loss in eight I believe, is disappointing. Again people will come back and say it's a game of opinions and everyone has their right to say as they are as passionate about the club as I am, and they have every right too.

There is an article in the Independent today which gives a much more balanced view as to what's happening to our beloved team. It doesn't come out and say this player is rubbish or Roberto doesn't know what he's doing etc etc, its the most sensible and clear look at the current situation. Barry Horne one of our own has a lot to say in the article and he's honest.

I know we go to City today and are expecting the worst but we have some of the best fans in the world that will be right behind them when they step out onto the pitch. Our Away support is tremendous and I doubt very much that there is any player wearing a blue shirt this afternoon will not be giving 110% for the club and the fans supporting them.

{Ed025's Note - im with you on a lot of that uzbek, especially our away support, the thing with evertonians (myself included) is that they are very passionate, and it hurts like hell when we lose or have a poor result, we wear our hearts on our sleeves mate, and we tend to exaggerate when we underperform, but thats just the way we are, and i for 1 would not change it for the world..

I'd heard it was to do with third party ownership.his agent does have close ties with a director at Olympiacos and is believed to be the third party. Everton had agreed a fee of around 1.5 million for the lad based on appearances. Then the third investor turned up unbeknown to Everton. as we are not allowed to deal with two clubs on one transfer and Anderlecht didn't want to pay any money out, the impasse occurred . Eventually the third party agreed to pay what was originally offered and loaned to Everton with a view to buy at the end of this season. Cost to us 1.5 + add ons, appearances etc upto a value of 3 million. Could still be a bargain.

Let's get right behind the Blues and have Goodison rocking today. Would love to ram this victory right down the throats of whinging Reds press. COYB! hope RM gets them chomping at the bit at kick off time.

UzbekBlue

{Ed025's Note - we wont have a better chance uzbek, for me it will depend on which lukaku turns up mate, the one who played in the first half against WBA or the one who so devastating in the second half..

Have to admit but I'm baffled how people are defending Mirallas being sent off and blaming Martinez for it. Frustrated my arse, Mirallas knew exactly what he was doing , as he has done the same sly tackle and been sent off before for it. Last week we were praising Naisy for being ready and prepared to come on as sub. Mirallas was in the first eleven for the Watford game and was dragged off because the was p;$$ poor. Mirallas attitude has stunk for a while now, get off Martinez back, look at the performance,

back four solid, no goals conceded in the EPL away from home
Midfield , excellent with Barkley looking like the player we hoped for
front line making chances, Kone looking like a player now.

We are much stronger in defence , remember we were without Baines and Coleman, youngest back four in the League, all English.

are you going to blame Martinez for being too defensive now. some of our attacking play has been fantastic this year, ref Chelsea, Southampton etc. Yes we missed chances but shit happens some times.

Fed up with blues trying to find fault in everything , give the guy a break.

Rubbish performance? What game did you watch. We had some terrible decisions given against us and we had them pinned back for large periods of the game. Eto ' o was fantastic, best player on the pitch by a country mile. Poor poor referee, would be interesting to read the referee assesors report from the guy in the stands.

Rom's first touch is shocking for a professional player, so whilst Eto'os probably scored four Rom's still trying to trap a ball. I still love Rom to bits but surely some one touch training would not go amiss.

Hi Cowpat, think the goalkeeping coach has done a great job with Howard. Probably his best season last year with us. Think Timmy suffering from World Cup like many others. Still one of the best in the Premiership, although would be nice if Roberto offered Valdes a deal till the end of the season.
