I can confirm Ricarlson has had his medical, the tv cameras were set up by where I live in Newton Le Willows at the Pall Mall medical centre and photos confirm Ricarlson arriving at the building.

Whatever else happens you can take it from me he has had his medical today.

Ed02 you know your rubbish for sure. But I don't think people know who, or what you do. So they might presume your a footy buff. I think Worcester was referring to the pundits on talk sport or match of the day. Please don't take offence sir.

{Ed002's Note - I am not a "footy buff", there is no offence Mowfee.}

2.) 23 Jul 2018 23:19:53
Footy buff? Is that someone who plays football in the nude 🤷🏻‍♂️.

3.) 24 Jul 2018 18:27:52
Haha buff, I meant boff.

4.) 24 Jul 2018 22:40:54
What does he do? I have wondered many times.

He certainly knows his stuff but I do take opinion on things with a pinch or salt because if he was any good, he would be world reknowned (wouldn’t anyone! ) and if he was rich and famous he definitely would have had some life skills coaching to help with human interaction 😂😂 he’s so dry that guy!

Look forward to reading his posts every day though.

Robles is set to leave on a free transfer in the Summer, not sure who we will get as a number two backup in case a dip in form or injury occurs, Stek is no spring chicken and doubt a top class goalkeeper will come as second choice sat on the bench.

Need to get someone in as a priority in the Summer.

1.) 23 Mar 2018 17:08:42
Burnley’s goalkeeper Pope gaining a good reputation would be a good choice, but being No 2 at Burnley he may not see being No 2 at Everton as an option. But Pickford may draw attention from other big clubs so it’s worth looking at Pope.

2.) 25 Mar 2018 15:46:21
I quite like Robles as a back up, solid professional that is always available and gives his best when required. Bit of a shame he didn't get a longer run to prove himself but there we go.

3.) 26 Mar 2018 04:57:07
He had plenty of time to prove himself, unfortunately he failed to do so.

4.) 28 Mar 2018 12:25:12
Have you seen his stats for last season Grimbo? Considering he would have to come in when there was an injury so it would take a few games to get up to speed they are not bad at all.

Just a bit of banter, but has anyone else noticed that whenever a Merseyside Derby is coming up, people request any spares from a long lost uncle, niece etc who has luck would have it are flying over from the states, Australia, timbuttwo and just happen to be in the Country for the Derby.

Well something different from the usual Sam, new stadium, bill posts.

bignev

{Ed033's Note - Is timbuttwo a close friend of Milo Yiannopoulos? Maybe tim comes from Timbuktu.

First of all I would like to say special praise on Watford's performance last night, something that has been over looked and rather than look how well our opponents played, some would rather slaughter our own team.

Fair to say we did not play to our usual standards, but the doom mongers, sorry I should say the realists are back andin full voice again, telling every man and his dog and the dreamers among us how right they were.

Well Iam sorry but no one is putting me on a downer slating the club at every opportunity.

We all know we need a centre forward or two and that is killing us big time at the moment, however at this moment in time we are starting to build a team, Digni, Gomes, Richarlison all contributing and players we added last Summer.

Time and again I see Bernard pillored, last night he had a decent game in both attack and chasing back yet he got the usual flack, he did a damn sight more than the three subs that came on last night but still the fall guy.

We cannot win every game, we have no divine right to out play our opponents, that has to be earned, you cannot take into account how well the opposing team plays.

Just over 12 months ago we had Williams in defence, Keane struggling along side of him, Schnids in front of the defence, Bolasie partly on the left followed by Calvert Lewin playingon the wing and Niasse as the cameo striker.

In just 6 months, the team we have now is head and shoulders above last seasons team

We need to bring in two proven goal scorers and for me, I would let Tosun, Lookman and possibly Calvert Lewin, along with Niasse who it seems will be leaving next month.

This team is not the finished article yet by a long way, yet some seem happy to wade in and say we are no better than last season.

I am being more patient and allowing Silva to bring in his own team which will take a few transfer windows at least, the ones he has brought in so far are doing a great job so far.

So I give you the dreamer in me, I will not hide, I will not even say told you so when we get the results and performances, but I will never give up on my football club and fully be. ieve in Silva, a Brands, Moshi and the team, stick withthe team and have faith.

Coyb.

I agree, Watford played well and we were extremely lucky to get the draw. However, if we had been more ruthless in front of goal and less sloppy in defence it would have been a different story. While mistakes by individual players will happen as they get used to playing alongside each other, they've only been together a few months, the overall quality in the side has improved. If we can get a decent striker in in Jan the knock on effect will be massive and we'll have a closer knit more confident team.

2.) 11 Dec 2018 20:24:48
That's what we need BigH a striker mate.

3.) 11 Dec 2018 20:27:51
Too right big h, get a proven scorer in will make a huge difference, we switched off for the free kick that led to the first goal and paid for it.

We certainly need to sort a penalty taker out.

After my post last week about the posotives around Everton and also the eitc how great it is for Silva to come out with ffear is the one word we do not use, talk about the cherry on top of the cake.

We will have minor blips along the way, but with Moshi, Silva and Brands, I feel the 20 odd years of stagment is about to end and we finally look like a well run football team, instead of the plucky Everton selling club.

bignev

1.) 26 Nov 2018 16:51:45
20 years? or do you mean 30 years : (.

2.) 26 Nov 2018 20:12:04
Don't exaggerate Cookie, lest we not forget we did win the FA cup in 1995, I know this for a fact since I was there to see it.

21 Nov 2018 18:04:06
Over the years Everton have had the knack of putting you on a high, only to bring you back down to earth with a thud.

Season after season the false dawns, the frustrations of selling our best players, plucky Everton tag.

Still early Days, but what I am seeing now is the right people in charge, the right players being bought, no longer believing a player will not sign for us, we are now competing in the market, not just for also rams, players on their last big pay Day, we are now bringing in quality.

Even our bench and backup is strong, gone are the Days where a suspension or injury had a huge impact on the team.

Add to this year after year of season ticket price freezes, the eitc, all the work for homeless and mental health issues.

What is not to like about being an Evertonian, we may have stagmented over the past years, but a window change is rattling around Everton Football Club right now.

I just hope fellow Evertonians are feeling as proud right now as I am of our football club.

Wind of change and also rans, good old predictive text above.

2.) 21 Nov 2018 18:32:49
To be fair BigNev it is not Everton per-say that builds us up but rather us ourselves. Not laying out the blame on individuals but our patience as Evertonians has also become shorter and shorter as us old uns are out weighed by the impetuous youthful supporter. Who knows how Martinez would have turned out, look at him now! Same goes for a few we have had. I have high hopes for Mr Silva and his staff things are certainly coming together but true progress will be measured in my eyes once we begin beating some or all of the so-called top six instead of coming away saying, 'well, we gave them a run for their money'.

3.) 21 Nov 2018 20:39:09
Good post mate.

4.) 21 Nov 2018 23:14:43
It takes time Bill, but for now we are more optimistic of going toe to toe against the top 6, we are certainly making progress, few more transfer windows and a top class finisher and will be further progress.

When you look at players getting injured, we seem to have cover throughout to come in, and not playing out of position to plug the gap, the only area that concerns me is the goalkeeper backup should anything happen to Pickford, Virginia needs a bit more time and Stek not ideal for me as backup.

5.) 22 Nov 2018 10:07:21
yeah look at Martinez now? he's got one of the best national teams in the world and just threw away a 2-0 lead and lost 5-2, don't forget that team he has somehow landed is getting him plaudits, its harder to lose with that squad of players than win!

6.) 22 Nov 2018 13:00:58
And with respect wblue2 that is what I am talking about on negativity around this Club from some. It goes back as far as Catterick.

7.) 23 Nov 2018 10:25:01
Bill, how are wblue2's comments negative around Everton football club? He is disagreeing with you that Martinez is doing a great job with Belgium and I am inclined to agree with him. You seem to have had a bizarre pop about negativity because your nose is out of joint because wblue2 had a different opinion to you!

13 Nov 2018 23:54:41
The team has started to gel nicely now and appears our zonal marking has also improved as well.

We need to carry on the way we're are playing, but the big one for me is to go all out to try and win the f a cup, go with our strongest eleven instead of making too many changes.

If we play our strongest 11 no matter who we play, we have a fair chance of going a long way and a chance of winning it.

05 Nov 2018 13:46:28
Looking at the form of Gomes, he looks very good quality, some might say it's early Days and also the risk of his injury returning. But some times in life you have to take a chance.

Personally I think we need to strike up a deal in January to try and tie the player down to a permenant move.

No question we need a top class striker, but if Gomes is the only deal we get incoming over the line, That would do for me until the Summer.

Not sure how it works with a loanee, if you can sign them mid season of their loan spell, any Ed's know?

If so then Zouma could also be a possibility.

bignev

1.) 06 Nov 2018 08:37:07
Risks worth taking. I remember a midfielder who had a penchant for breaking his legs, considered much too risky by many to even thinking of signing. Peter Reid was his name. Whatever happened to him?

{Ed002's Note - Loanees can be signed on a permanent basis at anytime during the loan. Today or tomorrow even.}

2.) 06 Nov 2018 17:59:28
Cheers Ed, I was unsure on the loan side of things, glad that’s cleared up for me, let’s hope Barcelona are willing to strike a deal.

{Ed002's Note - I suspect he won't be cheap and he would have to think about other options, but Everton can certainly raise the matter with Barcelona.}

Take them with a pinch of salt Jacamo, will step up a notch with the transfer window approaching.

If anything is going to happen, it will happen between Everton and not the rags.

We will be linked with all sorts of strikers, mainly because the rags know we need one and throw enough strikers around, law-of averages say they might get one prediction right, nothing more than click bait and selling columns in the rags.

Enjoy tonight’s game Jacamo and don’t worry too much about what you read.

Sure we will get a striker in, whether January or the Summer, if we can land both Zouma and Gomes, what a great bit of business those two would be.

Should know better by now with the rags-or sky pundits, as soon as Everton show promise or a challenge to the sky darlings, the papers will do anything to link Everton players to one of of the darlings, to try and disrupt the good work done by Everton.

With the derby and the City games approaching, do not be surprised the Silva dispute being dragged up again in the press.

bignev

{Ed002's Note - The papers have nothing against Everton and are not trying to disrupt anything.}

I think Bernard is wasted on the wing, I would try the guy in the number 10 role as well Ed.

bignev

{Ed025's Note - i think he would be more suited to that role bignev, but siggy has really stepped up this season and has been one of our better players so will be hard to dislodge mate..

Good post Fancy, I personally think we went wrong bringing on all three attackers, I would have swapped Walcott for Lookman, if taking Bernard off then switched Richarlison to the left, stuck Calvert Lewin as the main striker and swapped The injured Gaye for Tom Davies.

For me too many forwards clumped together who were not getting the quality ball from either flank or behind being played to them due to lack of personnel in midfield being over run and closed down, once that was cut out we had no supply to the strikers.

As the saying goes, too many chiefs in attack Andy not enough behind them.

I will say let’s see what happens when he can bring a centre forward in or two.

Poor performance tonight and let’s not forget three of the players Silva brought in, Richarlison, Digni and Gomes all had a big impact on tonight’s game.

This is not Silva team by a long way, he has brought in players and so far are doing a decent job.

So before writing Silva off, I would be a little more patient while he builds the team he wants and offloads our current strikers in the squad, Lookman, Tosun and Niasse and bring in two quality strikers.
