i like the way most of us wish rom well when he leaves, class, but i trust our new regime to keep pushing us forward, and let's not worry ourselfs over how much we will get, billl always screws them for every penny. stones, rooney, lescot, fellini, . i hope we all get behind rom and he finishes the prems top scorer. the feel good factor has been the best for years. coyb.

1.) 16 Mar 2017 03:48:42
Rooney?

Do wish Rom well IF he leaves. We will get bigger, stronger, faster, quicker and better without him. I have no doubt we will find an alternative solution.

2.) 16 Mar 2017 13:28:49
Let's just remember he's not actually gone yet! So let's not get on his back we should all keep cheering him on to score those goals!

3.) 16 Mar 2017 13:42:28
my only problem with Lukaku is the timing he should of waited until the summer instead he has slightly dented the feel good factor that has been building which always seems to happen on the plus side he didn't say he wouldn't sign a new deal but we have to show we mean business.

4.) 16 Mar 2017 16:01:27
I think it's still an IF currently, he has ambition and wants to win things and from various things I have read like many, he is disenchanted with the progress in transfers, there are references to conversations with Kompany and how things changed there rapidly and I feel he is looking for similar so this next transfer window will be crucial as Koeman has often stated.
However if he does decide to go in search of champions league now then I wish him all the best and yes we will carry on.

5.) 16 Mar 2017 16:18:22
the only problem there southern toffee is when it happened at city there was no ffp in place so they could spend spend spend we can't.

6.) 16 Mar 2017 19:04:49
True but aren't the club able to get relief from that for a while due to new owners investment?

Plus I am sure it takes into account an average over a few years which let's be honest we haven't really spent much and even now a large portion of our outlay was recouped by the Stones sale.

And then mix in the increased revenue new shirt sponsors sponsorship of finch farm etc and I am sure we have a lot more revenue coming into the club now.
So I am not saying we copy city as I feel we already have some good players at the club and some amazing youngsters coming through so we can afford to make a big splash in the market this summer and make that statement, but it still needs to be the right statement with the right players!

7.) 17 Mar 2017 11:01:04
I'm sure I heard moshiri say anything we bring in plus 7 million I might be wrong though that's one of the things that did piss me off with Lukaku we have massively improved our sqaud add to that youth looking good gone from 11th to 7th with Europe looking like a goer and Lukaku says we are not matching his ambition all this and remember Koeman has had basically 1 and half transfer windows.

8.) 17 Mar 2017 20:21:28
Anything we bring in plus £7m? Not sure what that means, where did Moshiri put that out?
So are you talking about just from player sales? Or does that include Prize money from where we finish in the league? Plus the Tv money? Sponsorship deals etc.

9.) 17 Mar 2017 23:06:54
I think it includes player sales sponsorship any incomings but as I said I'm not sure that's why the new shirt sponsor is massive not to mention usm finch farm but we still have to remember we are very limited by corporate box's or lack off and not matter how much moshiri has we are still limited by what we can spend compared with the current top 6.

10.) 18 Mar 2017 00:57:25
Man City situation doesn't guarantee success. For all the money they have spent this will be the third season since they last won the league, and for a team who has spent ridiculous amounts of money that isn't success. In this same time they have won the league cup twice, which is the lesser of the domestic trophies. Now don't get me wrong I would love us to win the league cup just to break our drought, but considering what they have spent and the players and managers they have had this should be the least of the trophies they are expected to win. This season again they fall short in the champions league and the likelihood of winning the league is slim to none. Lukaku can mention what Kompany says about City all he wants but in all fairness they have underachieved for the outlay in recent seasons and this should be a warning to Rom that money doesn't guarantee success, just ask Leicester.
The Champions league statement to me again is not ambition just an excuse as he feels that we won't ever compete for that so it's an easy out, yet his agent has apparently been speaking to Ed Woodward about a move to United! Now unless they win the Europa they won't have Champions league and if as expected Ibrahimovic signs an extension then Rom will find himself on the bench again playing second fiddle to a player who is a much better all round striker.
Let's move onto Chelsea, will he get game time there if Costa stays? No chance as again Costa has a lot of attributes that Rom lacks in his all round play.
So Mr Lukaku were do you go for your Champions League platform? PSG and a poor French league and the chance to participate in the champions league but never actually compete to win it? Bayern Munich are a step to far at this time in your career as they have a striker in Lewandowski who not only scores goals but has a great first touch and can play with his back to goal and has great ariel ability, all of which at the moment Roms game lacks, not to mention Thomas Muller who is also a great striker who can play the flanks as well as the lone roll due to his ability.
Madrid? No chance, Barcelona? No chance.
Italy and Juventus? Maybe, but again it's a piss poor league and the chances of winning the Champions League and not just being a number are again a stumbling block, might as well go to Arsenal.
I feel after evaluating the options he craves and the actual chances he has of playing for these teams that he will remain at Everton to progress as he has done, the only way I see him going is to Chelsea IF they get rid of Costa.

11.) 18 Mar 2017 09:33:36
I love all the newspaper articles about how he might go to Utd but they aren't even in the champions league spots.

12.) 18 Mar 2017 14:29:42
I agree bluegray87 at any off those super clubs he is just a squad player I still think he will sign a new deal at us and he is playing a little devil's advocate hopefully moshiri has now learnt that kenwright and Elstone should not negotiate transfers the future is blue even if we do it by improving a bit each season I'm fine with that.

13.) 19 Mar 2017 09:10:23
I both hope and agree that he will Sign a new deal however. and I hope I'm not lambasted for this. I do think sometimes that our blue tinted glasses can get in the way of some thoughts. Personally if I was say playing for Athletics Bilbao or say Marsellie (even if we go with the media led consensus that out perm is the best) and I was scoring the goals that Lukaku was at 23 years of age with at best 12 short years of football left to play, I would be wanting to move! . My mate (Witsel) has just gone to China for the $, Adam Lallana is getting paid 120k a week, my captain (yesterday's game) doesn't even get picked for his National Team. Come on. I'd be giving my hea a wobble if I firmly believed in my own abilities and looking to the sky! . I was not born in Bilbao, I'm not Spanish, they have not qualified for the Champs league once in my tenure, and I have done the job at my end which is score goals which is the rarest of commodities in the game. Yes. the club has given me a platform, but again we expect players to be loyal but clubs never are. If I don't cut the mustard my manger can and will be ruthless (rightly so) but that door swings both ways (Niasse) . Again folks . I think he will stay, I hope PSG, Juve, Milan (new found money like us) don't come in cause i would be off. Man Utd. ok send Rashford in this direction and let's talk business. Let's just get BARKLEY signed cause he is one of our own .

i really hope walshy and co pull a january miracle off, it will be hard enough getting the right players in, and if we want them so will many other clubs. thought ronnie would have stuck with the same team tonight, hard one for the young lads to get into tonight, maybe a start for one them the next game because they couldn't be any worse than what we have seen in the last 2 games, ah well, happy new year everyone :-)

1.) 31 Dec 2016 00:01:15
Davies looked awesome!

2.) 31 Dec 2016 09:00:14
I think that is the squad he is going to keep last night, and how many times has he played the same team for two weeks running this season. Happy New Year to everyone.

3.) 31 Dec 2016 20:10:03
Agree southern toffee Davies is great just look at the inpact Davies had on Barkley he seemed to know Davies first thought was to pass forward but a lot more quicker as well think if Davies gets a few starts consecutively we would see a lot better performance from barkley.

{Ed025's Note - i imagine utd would be interested riprock..

1.) 25 Aug 2015 22:44:48
Pls please pls to wipe the smug grin from JM face.

2.) 26 Aug 2015 00:19:21
I'd rather he goes to Chelsea over anywhere else in England, to be honest.
City: it'll look like he's gone for money
United: I just hate United
Liverpool: don't even think about it
Arsenal: not enough of a step up to justify leaving yet

But at Chelsea he'll be playing under the greatest centre back of the generation, in a team that'll compete For everything and will almost certainly become England's best centre back. If he must leave, I want him to go where he'll develop best.

3.) 26 Aug 2015 06:06:20
Don't give a toss where he goes. Whoever offers the most can have him, simples.

4.) 26 Aug 2015 04:56:00
Correction to the above:

City: it'll look like he's gone for money
United: it'll look like he's gone for money
Liverpool: don't even think about it
Arsenal: it'll look like he's gone for money

oh and

Chelsea: it'll look like he's gone for money

5.) 26 Aug 2015 08:04:58
So he has handed in a transfer request, if Chelsea come back with £40m we should knock it back and say how can you view David Luiz at £50m when he is a rubbish centre back! You want him beat that! We still don't actually need to sell and let's be honest. they really need to replace Terry!

6.) 26 Aug 2015 08:19:31
EIMster

nail on the head mate, its not about trophies anymore and any player that says it is are lying, its all about money

{Ed025's Note - im woith you degs..

7.) 26 Aug 2015 11:34:36
i really don't see what the fuss is about js , I have watched him in every game he has played and I do not think he is as good as everyone says ok he has age on his side but what is the point of keeping someone who does not want to play for everton and people are forgetting the man he plays beside who covers a lot of cracks every week(jags) deserves some credit, so wish him luck and let him go there will always be another in the wings, move on

8.) 26 Aug 2015 12:32:08
i agree, I thought he was terrible against Villarreal, dodgy against watford, and he stood and watched Nasri waltz through on Sunday. 40m thankyou very much.

{Ed025's Note - they really have riprock..

can any of the eds answer this. will the new ground go ahead if we went down and will the search for a new manager slow things down. sorry if this topic has already been covered. thanks.

blue riprock

{Ed025's Note - it would be severely hindered riprock, and due to corporate investment being the forerunner to the finance of it it would be put on the back burner somewhat, the manager situation will not affect things so much as im sure a suitable candidate will be found in the near future mate..

05 Nov 2017 21:15:18
i no a lot of supporters were chocker when their 2nd goal went in, but to leave when the team needed you most!

blue riprock

1.) 05 Nov 2017 21:40:32
I was saying this earlier in the week blue. A large proportion of fans only seem to support when the team are winning. Well done to the lads for digging in and showing a great mentality to not only get back in the game but to go on and win it. Perhaps this will be the catalyst to put a few wins together and see those fickle fans return.

2.) 05 Nov 2017 22:39:18
When their second goal went in the couple who sit next to me in the main stand swore loudly then made a big point of walking out; they couldn't have got any further than Goodison Road before Niasse scored our first.
I had a wry little laugh to myself as I pictured them trying to pursade the stewards to let them back in. Their loss, this is Everton, never say never.

i have seen posts saying we need a left back, i think garbutt and galoway have already shown they are ready to take over from baines one day.

blue riprock

1.) 27 Jan 2017 06:52:25
Garbutt unfortunately has not made significant improvement and Galloway is a defensive left back rather than the wing back Baines is. Galloway looks more a CB than LB.

Baines is on a different level completely along with Coleman and its that level we need to find. We need to learn the lesson of our neighbours and not try to put square pegs in rounds holes like Milner.

2.) 27 Jan 2017 07:02:00
Garbutt looked half decent and had a rep as an up and coming future first team player but that may have changed under the new regime. Galloway did well but his best position is cb

3.) 27 Jan 2017 08:09:16
Anyone who saw Galloway taken apart against Stoke by Shakiri (spelling) , will know he is no left back. As for Garbutt, watched him a few times in games for us and he looked the real deal (my opinion) . It was only when Garbutt was moved on that he lost form. Oviedo is in the mold of Baines I. E. a Wing Back rather than defender. In any case, Koeman does not seem to worried, that should be good enough for us.

4.) 27 Jan 2017 16:47:57
Can see us buying. Hopefully keep Galloway as CB but think Garbutt will be moved on.

I'm not bitter, I'm just being honest. good luck to my fellow blues for next season.
