Silva is not my first choice but who knows he may be a success we have to give him time and not expect to much at once. There is no guarantees in football we just have to be a bit patient. As long as I can see attractive football and is making progress each year I will be happy. And a cup lol.

Remember Martinez not being everyone's cup of tea and we thought he was bloody amazing after his first season. His no plan b and a aged defence didn't help his cause, but we were good to watch. If Silva is appointed we just get behind him and players and hope along with Brands bringing the players in, the club is successful.

2.) 23 May 2018 07:05:34
Agree with that. Don't want Silva (nothing personal) but if he is appointed then of course I along with every other Evertonian will support him 100 percent. COYB.

{Ed025's Note - we just have to roll with it DFS, i can see the concerns over the length of contract but in the end they are professionals and we have to believe they know what they are doing mate, so long as they dont knock on my door to contribute to his earnings im not really bothered how long they give him..

3.) 23 May 2018 12:00:30
Seems Silva will be given a long term contract if stories are to be believed, with FM wanting him to be the man to lead us into the new stadium in 2022/ 23 season. That is what we need a long term plan in place that we the fans can buy into and also the players can too.

I'm looking forward to going the game without the dread of falling asleep after 10 minutes. Silva may not be everyone's cup of tea, but when he signs on the dotted line he is the manager of our club and that deserves our respect. Let's get behind the man and show him why this job is the best job he's ever taken.

Who knows who we are pursuing and who we’re not. There’s so much gossip, and misinformation, that I wonder why the club isn’t (maybe it can’t! ) controlling the media narrative a lot better than it is.

2.) 21 May 2018 12:52:39
Who ever the club choose is a risk. The sensible choice tho is still silva. The guy has known about our interest since last year. and has had the past few months to look at our squads strengths/ weakness all be it from the outside but he must have a very good idea/ plan in place to take us forward should he get the gig. Any foreign manager in my opinion would take some time to settle in and decide who he wants to keep or replace.

3.) 21 May 2018 14:45:50
I kind of agree with Anom about Silva. He has had plenty of time to watch and plan so even though I don't - atm - see him as our long term boss I think he would settle in quicker than another guy. I guess we just have to wait and see.

Personally I am not to excited by Silva his record isn't that great. For me I want a winner at our great club. I would like us to go for emery he did a good job at Seville and has just won the French league with psg and everyone was raving about him before he went there. Or fonseca they might be in easier leagues but they have experience of winning. So mr Morishie throw the cheque book at them or failing that go for rafa another winner comon sense to me surely 😊.

Same here Tillie. Rafa commands respect for me. just can't see the fascination with Silva . the other point is that the players are just not good enough. bottom line.

2.) 15 May 2018 21:50:01
If I could put a link on here, I would put the Silva in training video here that is on YouTube, a breath of fresh air watching him interact with the players and even making the moves himself on the training pitch, stopping the players if they are not doing his instructions and going over it again with them.

I would take Silva without too much fuss.

3.) 15 May 2018 23:46:05
After what happened with Silva when he already had a job and we approached him then I don’t think that will happen again. If Silva is given the job, which I think will be a step in the right direction, then we have to all get behind him. Anything will be better than Sam!

I have not been on here for a while because I have been so fed up with the way we have played this year. I can except losing but to many times we have lost because there isn't enough heart in this team. I said last time the only way we are going to progress is to throw the cheque book at a top boss because right now no top manager would want to come. But money talks. This marcel brands is a step in the right direction. Big Sam has done his job and should be appreciated for that. But I personally don't think he is the man who will ever win us anything can anyone honestly see him doing that? We need to move him on and a lot of the players and give a top manager time like Liverpool have with kloop. Things won't happen over night but I would be content with some progress.

I'll be honest and say I don't know anything about brands to give an assessment. Walsh for me has struggled in the DOF role and think he's had too many failures.

As for Sam. He's a very good functional manager. He does what it says on the tin.

Let's get to end of the season and see where the land lies. There's talk of Fonseca and Silva but we really need to asses what we want to achieve and make the right decision.

Haha predictive text all I am saying is just because it is reported that neymar doesn't like his style of play doesn't mean he will be sacked at least not until the summer. it's like saying the utd board are going to sack mourniho just because they aren't top of the league. unless top managers are near the bottom they aren't going to change anything until the summer. just saying we ain't getting no top manager until then 😊.

Utter rubbish 😠 tell what mourniho will take over us just because they aren't too of the league. psg won't be parting with emery until at least the summer what a load of tosh.

Who said pellegrine is a good manager . Anyway manager could win the league with man city's money. Give Silva a chance . Kendall wasn't an established manager before he came to us.

Agree with you sa90 there isn't no quick fix. I was just saying those players need to leave as they are either no good any more or they are just average players I wasn't saying how this could be done. So even more important to give whoever is manager time. And yes I would say Williams and Lennon I'm afraid. I think we have been put back years and we need stability not a club that chips the manager every five mins.

How can anyone disagree with that post must be a deluded red then as what top manager would take over right now? Apart from van gaal who else that has been linked won anything?
