Hi all I was watching the game today and the impression I got from the players was well we are safe from relegation but we don't want to get into Europe so we will just stay where we are maybe I am just being paranoid also I think I nodded off during the game 😊.

Didn't think he looked so bad considering he hasn't played for so long. Real Madrid would take come knocking our door any time soon. But coming off the bench to put him self about and to be a nuisance, didn't think he was too bad

Yeah, we could have been lucky and faced Watford first then Crystal Palace for the title. The FA Cup would still be the FA Cup.
But. I'd love some payback with West Ham. I'd love to help send LVG packing at ManU.

I understand the sentiments, but being motivated by "some payback with West Ham" or "help send LVG packing" seem negative in my humble opinion. I'd rather be positively motivated by simply wanting Everton to win, get to the final, and then win the trophy. Or am I being soft-headed and soft-hearted?
{Ed025's Note - nothing wrong with a soft heart sid, it will be a hard game whichever one of them we meet but none of them exactly strike fear into me..

Well put, Sid. Plus, confident as I am about our chances, I'd be more worried about RM not learning from the previous West Ham encounter and being found out again by Bilic's tactics. Saturday was a massive boost for morale all round, but consistency is vital and Bobby has been know to repeat his mistakes. I do doubt it would happen, though to be honest, but I'd prefer Utd personally.

Ed025: I agree that they don't strike fear into me, but no team does that anymore.
I don't think that's because we're so great (ha-ha) . Instead, I suspect it's because we've had so many home defeats this season, that I've no emotional room for fearing another defeat.
If - as all too regularly this season - we throw away a winning position, then I just accept it as "we're Everton - that's what we do" and accept it as inevitable.
It's incredible that I feel like that - maybe it's part of RM's psychological masterplan to convince us (with or without an MIB neuralyzer! ) that we're actually phenomenal and only a small margin away from entering a golden era.

{Ed025's Note - we will be phenomenal if we lift that cup sid, then all the water will have passed under that proverbial bridge and we start again with a clean slate, fans will always be fickle mate and todays news tomorrows fish and chip paper, the only constant is that we will do it all again season after season.. :)

Ed025; Supporting Everton is a habit, but unlike so many other "habits", it hasn't (yet! ) been criminalised or heavily taxed or demonised - although Thatcher, her political cronies, and her pals in the media tried their best with European bans, fences at grounds, bans on away fans, etc., etc.
Enough of the history lecture (ha-ha! ) - as Evertonians pride themselves on knowing and singing about our history - and instead let's look forward to starting with a clean slate and a bright future.

I hope we are not going down the same slippery road that RM last team went down they were good going forward but bad in defense, they won the fa cup then got relegated.

I do agree with making Goodison a place for teams to fear visiting, However to cheer the team on no matter how badly they play and let's be honest this season they are playing like they would rather be somewhere else! if you continue cheering on bad proformance after bad performance then the mamnager and the players and the non existing board think all is well even more then they do now!!!!!!! Sad state of affairs . as an everton supporter since 1972, I have never felt so disbodent about watching the games and listening to Rm talk about how happy he was with the rsesponse fronm the players after going 1 down however we didin't get the result, it would make a Amish give him a slap
