What about snapping up some free transfers! Ron vlaar and Goan gourcaff. Surely 2 good signings!M

f11pper

{Ed002's Note - Vlaar is injured. Gourcuff won't be moving to Everton.}

I also watched Celtic on tv today. Van Dijk looked very good player and I think would suit Everton style of football.

just read on a website that martinez may make a free transfer for david albada. he's 35 from valencia, I think he is past it and not as good as distin.

f11pper

1.) He's a centre-mid, so I don't really get the comparison to Distin, but I reckon he'd be a decent shout, even if it's just as back-up. nothing to lose on a freebie!

Murf

2.) Well said murf, nothing to lose with a free, look at hitzlsperger, it was worth a go

3.) I'm a Valencia fan (as well as Everton, of course) and this wouldn't be a good move. He is a defensive midfielder who didn't have much spark to his game 15 years ago, never mind now. If we sign him, it'll be similar to Hitzlsperger I suspect. Occasional cameo to close out a game, or a rare start when we have no choice, but he certainly isn't going to improve us.

4.) FFS There had better be a little, No a lot more ambition and imagination shown in the transfer market than that, surely. Lazy jounalism, (please God).

5.) 35 really? By the way nothing's for free you would still have to pay him!

6.) Better than heitinga though, and that means money can be put elsewhere, such as attacking options.

if QPR are relegated would it not be a good idea to raid them for Remy and Mbia (im sure we have been linked with him in the past) especially if felli does move on. Also what would be the chances of getting Rodwell back on the cheap?

f11pper

1.) Loic Remy for 6mil would be a bargain, but signing for QPr shows us that he is all about the money, and I reckon teams with more money will come in and he will go there

As for Mbia, not really been impressed by him if I am being honest.

I reckon, given the finances around Europe, there are plenty of bargains to be had across Europe, like in Spain or Holland, which I reckon Moyes will do.

2.) I think we would have to join the queue for some of QPRs better players, However, if Harry is still there I would have thought he would just get rid of the dross and rebuild around his favourites. Plus I can't see QPR needing to sell anyone on the cheap as money doesnot seem to be an issue. As for Rodwell I still think there is a possibility he will develop into a quality player but he is too injury prone to take the risk. We can't afford to have players sitting watching the games, we just dotn have the cash to waste.

3.) I think Rodwell needed to move on from Everton and we got a good deal from ManCity for him. I can't imagine that any of the issues that might have necessitated the move away from Everton have got themselves sufficiently sorted out for him to return.
A pity that it didn't work out for him at Everton, but we used some of the money for Mirallas, who isn't turning out too bad :-)

4.) Why on earth would we want Rodwell back? That would be like owning an underperforming, really unreliable car, managing to sell it & getting a good price for it - then going & buying it back just because it's cheap! You just wouldn't do it!

5.) Toffee Tezza:

Spot on mate

Rodwell to City was good business, let's not spoil it!

Blue247

6.) That Mbia is shocking, I hope his name is never mentioned along ours ever again. I watched him solidly for 20 mins when QPR played Wigan at the weekend and he barely touched the ball, didn't want the ball, let everyone and everything pass by him, and when he finally did (reluctantly have to) touch the ball he lost it within two touches. Disgrace.

Are we still looking at Ron Vlaar, he was injured but could be a good backup. A few loan signings and yamelenko I would be happy with. Stones, Coleman, lukaku and McCarthy, Barkley, Del Boy should stay at any cost but all other players always have a price we should considers!

1.) 20 Dec 2015 19:01:55
vlarr has gone mate think its to his former club back in his homeland 99% certain on that one.

2.) 20 Dec 2015 19:06:00
Think he went to AZ Alkmaar mate.

3.) 20 Dec 2015 19:13:20
Think vlaar already signed abroad. Not sure who but done.

4.) 20 Dec 2015 19:15:41
I said before I'd like Vlaar to be there. Experience would be appreciated. Pitty he moved back to Holland with the club he played for before.

with all the free transfers and contracts ending why not look at following:
kolo toure & florent malouda, chris brunt, maynor figueroa, danny simpson, noel hunt.

f11pper

1.) I would love that but the wages of malouda worry me all the rest would have them! PKBLUE

2.) Not one of them is good enough for the Blues.

3.) 21 May 2013 15:32:34
Kolo toure is finished danny simpson is woeful who is noel hunt? Malouda is overweight and lost his pace chris brunt is again woeful figueroa cannot defend

4.) Ever wondered why they are out of contract and not getting new ones? because they aren't good enough

5.) Toure's going to liverpool, malouda good but past it, brunt midtable nothing more, figueroa don't need him, simpson decent back up, but would rather see Duffy/Hibbo play tbh, Hunt - are you joking?
