Everton have reportedly failed to reach an agreement to sign Honduran striker Alberth Elis - but the player says a move to Goodison could still happen.

Elis claims he's held transfer talks with Everton after their bid was accepted by his club Olimpia.

While the player still hopes the move can be resurrected, he insists his short-term focus is on the Under-20 World Cup.
Sounds like his wage demands are too much??

Why r we going after unknown 20 year old players the way things are we are a disaster already in the making why is Kone still at the club 5 appearances in 2 years it's a joke martinez mate so he can stay not looking forward as a club laughed at again just like before moysie turned up and as I am almost 59 years old I am not looking forward to August 8th my birthday by the way they will probably ruin that ad well

2.) 05 Jul 2015 19:45:53
Who would we find stupid enough to buy kone from us

3.) 05 Jul 2015 21:13:25
The Reds of course for 20 Mil

Everton are lining up an £8m bid for Barcelona youngster Gerard Deulofeu according to the Daily Star. More crap rag talk.

johnnyboy

1.) Well, if we did get him, I understand that he wouldn't be eligible to play for us in this season's UEFA Europa League, as he's already played for Sevilla and they're still in that competition.

2.) It's not crap true it's true

Everton manager Roberto Martinez could try to take Barcelona youngster Rafinha on loan next season, The 21-year-old midfielder has impressed in his time with the club so far, though he faces plenty of competition for a regular place in Barcelona's starting lineup next year.

This could mean he is available for a loan move again, and Everton will hope to be able to bring another exciting young prospect to Goodison Park for a season.

Rafinha is the younger brother of Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara, who left Barcelona last summer.

johnnyboy

1.) We were very strongly linked with him last year, then he went to Celta Vigo, without any evidence we had actually even looked at him. I imagine the same will happen again.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez says talks over a new contract for Ross Barkley will not take place until the end of the season.Reports in January suggested that Barkley was set to be rewarded for his fine form so far this season that has seen him emerge as a first-team regular and break into the England squad.

johnnyboy

1.) Hmmm, shades of young Rooney? Similar statement before he played in his first World Cup. hope not.

whats your point johnnyboy are you comparing or is this good or bad.

2.) 14 Feb 2016 17:25:19
well when you compare the stats of someone for example, Man City who are pushing to win the league or at the worst top 4 finish, there isn't much between ours and there's. only difference is we can't defend and the table doesn't lie. point being if our defence was about the same as them we would be top 4 material.

Just looking at some stats and we are conceding an average of 1.41 goals per game so far this season, up from 1.31 last campaign.

Also during Martinez's first successful season in charge Everton averaged 1.02 goals conceded per game. Steadily getting worse each season, but shouldn't be with the talent we have at the back.

I wonder why it was a lot lower the first season? Anyone any idea?

Wouldn't you think with a £50m plus centre half who is a future England captain it would better. Along with the right back that has played there for years. A new left back who some people think should be starting before Englands first choice left back.

Along with the new buy who everyone is saying was a good signing. We also have the same keeper as 2 years ago. Apart from Howard's decline and the good defenders we have is there any other reason?

Manager? I can't really remember the season before Martinez took over. What was the defence like then? And 5 or 6 years before that?

Was the defence leaking goals easily? If it was it's nothing new. If it wasn't, what on earth would be the reason we weren't leaking goals easily back then?

Emmmmm.

Already said that the first season the Team were still operating on Moyes residual, last season and this Roberto's staff methods are bedding in. TalkSport on Everton takeover, 'a team of Evertons standing should not be finishing in 10th or 11th, especially with an ambitious Manager', well he can have all the ambition in the World but he has to apply that ambition. Van Gale asking the media if they wish to apologise and he has a point, they say they are just reporting but what they are actually doing is stirring the brown stuff.

Tell you what, up untill the first goal thought we had no chance of breaking down villa, who just parked the bus outside the box. Two special goals and a great substitution. Well done boys, you worked your socks off today.

johnnyboy

2.) I agree, more of a bonding trip with some light training thrown in.

Everton are allowed to sign further players on a temporary agreement. A quick look at the Premier League rule book clearly indicates that only domestic loans are limited, with no more than two at one time and no more than four over the course of a season.

Gueye joined French club Brest on loan for the rest of the 2012-13 season. Apparently he is out at the moment with a knee injury.
