Big test ahead for Silva and Brands in replacing Gana, would definitely be in most fans starting 11 when available.
I actually feel quite assured that they have thought everything through and we will see movement, I know some fans are abit unhappy about the lack of signings especially with other teams strengthening, and our out goings but it's about getting the right players and I'm sure Brands won't be forced into buying someone for the sake of it. Stay positive blues.

lee1878

{Ed002's Note - There seems to be one clear option left from the original potential targets I was aware of:
Adrien Tameze (DM) First choice Gueye replacement
Kaio Pantaleao (DM) Benfica player liked by Everton apparently - but would not get a WP and headed off to Krasnodor.
Abdoulaye Doucoure (DM/CM) - if Gueye moves Everton may look to him as an option again, but Watford don't want to sell and he will not have any interest in the move as he wants CL football.
Thiago Mendes (DM) was an option as a Gueye replacement but has moved elsewhere
Santiago Sosa (DM) I am aware of the suggestion that a deal has been agreed but it would take significant money in fee and/or wages to ensure a WP and Tameze is a far more obvious option to replace Gueye.
Lucas Tousart (DM) an enquiry about his availability was laughed off by Fodil.

In my view Sander Berge (DM/CM) would be the best option if he could be persuaded to make the move.}

Cheers Ed great info.

2.) 24 Jul 2019 16:22:44
Seen a few suggestions about Ibrahim Sangare, is there any interest in him we?

{Ed002's Note - Sangare has made it clear he is happy and he wants to learn more and when he moves he wants to play in Champions League football. A Worlk Permit might be difficult.}

3.) 24 Jul 2019 16:27:03
Ed great insight into who could be a possible replacement for gueye there is a young Toulouse player i think could be worth having a look at Ibrahim sangare only 21 I think but looks like a good talent do you know if we have any interest in him and what do you think if him.

{Ed002's Note - He is well thought of but more one for a year or two in the future.}

4.) 24 Jul 2019 16:30:52
Thanks Ed002 always a pleasure to get a post from you, let's see what Brands has in store hope he reads this site and takes some advice of you.

5.) 24 Jul 2019 17:02:53
Good post Lee mate, i am sure Marcel already has the replacement he knows his job, exciting times mate.

6.) 24 Jul 2019 18:27:10
That's why I'm not worried GB I think everything is at hand.

7.) 24 Jul 2019 18:30:10
Thanks ed for your insight think it's going to be an interesting couple of weeks till the transfer window closes.

8.) 24 Jul 2019 18:48:04
Totally agree mate they will have plenty of irons in the fire, bring it on eh.

9.) 24 Jul 2019 18:49:04
I read that Jean-Philippe Gbamin is in the mix. Any one hear anything else about that?

31 Jan 2019 21:23:06
Another twist apparently announced by ssn €30 mill for Gana from PSG we will see.

Good news that Ryan Astley has signed his first professional contract for the club, few other teams were interested and has had a good season so far stepping into he u23 squad.

1.) 17 Jan 2019 15:02:37
Didnt he sing, never going to give you up.

2.) 17 Jan 2019 16:39:00
nah smit.

3.) 17 Jan 2019 20:20:56
lol @ Smit.

4.) 18 Jan 2019 02:10:07
Watched him at Stoke last week, I like him, stood out as Everton’s best player, very tenacious in his making, fast, reads the game, top prospect, wouldn’t surprise me if he was in the first team squad next season.

And there it is 09.50 16/ 5/ 18 big Sam finally gone now let's enjoy the summer.

lee1878

1.) 16 May 2018 10:37:05
Fantastic news mate.

2.) 16 May 2018 10:38:59
Would like to add, thank you BS for your 7 months in charge. You got us out of a troubled situation. And got us to finish 8th. Which would have been a dream for most of us at the point he picked up the team. But he isn't the type of manager to get us to the next stage. Push into the top 4. Looks a bit of a pipe dream looking at at how we played in comparison to the those above us. I am now excited again for next year now that BIG Sam has gone and rumoured with some big (ish) names. Silva would be a great signing. My preferred choice would be Fonseca. But silva is who I wanted 7 months ago. So I would be very happy with him. Who ever it is: let's GET BEHIND HIM AND let's GET BACK TO THE TOP WHERE WE BELONG! Could be the last few seasons in goodison park, let's make it shake!

3.) 16 May 2018 13:26:22
I think you hit the nail on the head EFC. SA was the manager needed at the time to stabilize the team and stave of relegation fears. No, it was not pretty, but it worked.

To progress the club's aspirations and achieve European football and hunt silverware will take a whole new management team and front office. This is happening.

1. Thank you Big Sam, Little Sam, and company for helping the club. I wish you fellows well.

2. Let us name a DOF and manager soon so we can plan for next season and make proper targeted acquisitions.

3. And get behind whomever Mr. Mo hires and support the club.

4.) 16 May 2018 13:35:42
I thought out of them all Sammy Lee at least tried to get the players moving forward and gave his best shot, cannot fault his enthusiasm or determination so on that I hope Little Sam all the best in his future.

5.) 16 May 2018 14:37:52
It's a shame they never announced it earlier, to get rid of the negative atmosphere. I would of stayed past the final whistle to give the 2 Sams a clap and good send off. Sam did the job asked of him.
Now we need to start a new project and hope it's more successful this time.

10 May 2018 20:46:15
Phil McNulty don't know how reliable but has stated that Brands and a new CEO are on there way into the club with Sam's future in the balance apparently lots going on behind the scenes at the club like I said don't know how reliable.

Pereira turns us down, we need to move on now Duncan will have the Utd game let's just hope they do their homework now apparently our first choice has gone.

lee1878

1.) 10 Dec 2019 17:25:04
Yup let's hope so Lee.

2.) 10 Dec 2019 19:13:22
Pereira was sky's 1st choice not ours.

3.) 10 Dec 2019 20:11:12
Who says he’s turned us down? He’s in a job and has a contract until the end of December apparently. He’s said he needs time to assess his next move. Maybe the £25m plus a year he’s being offered in China is clouding his judgment!

25 Sep 2019 22:19:28
Everton v Watford in the next round got to be a great chance to make the qf, need to make sure silva knows his best team by the time we get to the game we have a chance of getting silverware this season I'm sure of it, .

lee1878

1.) 26 Sep 2019 01:01:27
I hope silva is gone before this game, should be fired straight after City game.

2.) 26 Sep 2019 05:51:12
He’ll need his injuries sorted before he can find his best 11. We’re not going to see the best of Gbamin until at least Christmas, and that’s if he takes to the league.

3.) 26 Sep 2019 06:49:20
Dc not going to happen. As ace says he will be fine at least til Xmas then moshiri will have a look.

4.) 26 Sep 2019 07:12:28
Another manager and another transition period, yep like That's what Everton need right now.
If our away form doesn't improve and we continue losing home games then maybe it's time for a change but that is 3 or 4 months away at least.

5.) 26 Sep 2019 10:55:05
Lets hope we don't win against city or firing Silva may be embarrassing eh DC.

6.) 26 Sep 2019 17:42:07
Still fire him, it would prove that he cannot motivate players outside of big games. If did beat City we would probavly lose our next 6 games.
Tim Sherwood summed Silva up well, he is a loser and quits when he runs out of ideas. His football is boring and he has no interest in bringing through club youngsters.

{Ed025's Note - to be fair DC anyone who agrees with anything that pot herb says needs help, hes worse than merson mate..

7.) 26 Sep 2019 17:59:53
And Tim Sherwood is more qualified to judge, how?

8.) 26 Sep 2019 20:11:51
And how many clubs does Mr sherwood think Silva has walked away from?

It just goes to show where some fans get their crazy ideas from when they listen to these pundits and jobless managers and eventually, like sheep start to agree with them.

Someone on here 6 months ago was saying we got the wrong Watford manager, I won't name names they know who they are.
Well that Oracle of knowledge got that one completely wrong.

Sometimes it's better to just be a fan and not try to be an owner, well unless you buy the club.

{Ed025's Note - some good points there smit mate..

05 Aug 2019 22:40:56
If anyone doubts Brands watch the video of him handing a shirt to Kean's Mum with Mami on the back the guy is class, and with the line we will look after your son. And with reported zaha, doucore and a CB don't think I will cope the next 3 days.

lee1878

03 Aug 2019 14:14:23
Delph off after 5 mins hope its not too serious. Good strong starting 11 and still Kean and Gbamin to come in.

lee1878

19 Jul 2019 18:53:44
Not a bad run out against Monaco, 1-0 win goal from Coleman. Some nice link up play, Niasse worked really hard but we are missing that final finish but overall happy with what I saw, few more games for Silva to find his team to start the season with players coming back from holidays and new players coming in think we can be optimistic for the new season.

lee1878

1.) 19 Jul 2019 19:42:57
Pickford
Coleman / Arias Mina and Keane. Digne/ Baines

Hollgate and Gibson coming through (less convinced with hollgate mind)

Even if we got someone like Smalling for a year whilst gibson comes through - I don’t think we are far off a really good young defence

Especially as Kenny coming back.

My top transfers:
Arias
Smalling / Laselles - prefer Zouma though
Pepe
Kean - or take a risk with Sanchez from Man Utd

I’m guessing I’ll be proved wrong on all 4 😂.

2.) 19 Jul 2019 20:51:41
Shows how much we really need a Striker or two in this window eh mate.

3.) 19 Jul 2019 22:09:46
Need something GB. We will let Silva and Brands do their thing, I'm sure there are irons in fires and targets that are being spoken to 19 days of the transfer window to go next week will be the week we see movement I'm sure.

Think this one is tabloid talk due to his name, and probably his agent naming clubs and we pop up can see it for £70mill brilliant player though.

Can never please everyone Woburn I'm made up with the way everything is going, yes we should have got a CB but think about our starting 11 plus subs on Saturday compared to a few years ago, can't wait till Saturday 3 points to us.

Another good read Ed001 thought he might be on our radar this summer, but with everything you've said maybe the premiership isn't the best place for him. Interesting see what happens in the future with him.
Looking forward if you do another player from Champ manager on one of your posts.

lee1878

{Ed001's Note - I am actually in the middle of another CM player article. The one most people probably know - Freddy Adu.

Glad you enjoyed it on Lozano too, I have to admit I had thought he would do well in the Prem until I watched him closely in the Eredivisie for this profile. I saw a completely different player when I just sat and watched what he did, rather than a game he was playing in.}
