Edif the rumours are true about us contacting emerys reps how do you rate him. All I know is he didn't like deloufou when he had him there so would we expect hard working players.

Just watched Spanish Cup final and Saville should have won, but they tired in extra time having played a final in midweek.
The record of Emery is very very good and his team work hard. If we must have a manager with no prem experience he looks as though he would be a good choice I think.

Stone is good enough with his feet to play in a more advanced role than CB. His distribution is good and i do think he is capable of sitting just infront of the deffenders.
I think he can play a similar role to Dier. If Stones is able to make this conversion then Stones and Dier could be very impressive in this role come the World Cup.

I agree partly as in I like McCarthy in the way he breaks up play but agree we have the finances to improve in that position, I would like Kovacic from Madrid as he is more box to box and I'm not sure Witsel is much of an improvement on Jimmy Mac.

Hi Dagenham, the biggest surprise for me was you not signing Williams. For the price he was exactly what you (and us) needed, a quality defender but more importantly a leader on the pitch.

Good post Degsy, we were never going to batter them though. It was a good performance against a team who was full strength and came close to winning the league last year. We were trying a new system without Williams, Coleman, lukaku so if yesterday is anything to by with a few new signings i am really positive for the rest of the season.

Couldn't agree more Efc, how long does this theory of let's wait and see who we bring in before the start of the season as we are leaving it pretty late. We haven't got a goal in us at the moment and haven't put a decent pre season performance in so I'm dreading spurs.
