Let him go then. We haven’t had the value out of him we should’ve over the last few seasons. Misses too many chances but admittedly is excellent holding up the ball.
I’d like him to stay but I won’t miss him either. He clearly wants to try pastures new. It’s the game, it happens to all clubs and there’s little else we can do about it.
I would hope though that knowing this has been coming for as long as it has, we have identified targets for January or the summer.
{Ed025's Note - we still have Broja to come in Ace..

Ed025 Well we see Keane game after game and he is useless and the statistics tell us that if he plays we have a good chance of losing. Not sure what we have to lose in giving O'Brien a chance. If you remember SD said the same thing about JB last season and played Keane with the same losing results, when he was pretty well forced into playing JB things turned around.
{Ed025's Note - yeah i agree BM and im not condoning the selection process of Sean mate, im just saying why i think he will play Keane, he actually said Iliman was not premier league ready a few weeks ago and he has been probably our best player..

Thanks Ed025 mate, what I do know is that Keane is not premier league ready. Well as usual, regardless of who plays, I will have my Everton jersey on and be yelling for the blues, we need a win and against Newcastle and Gordon, it will be even more satisfying.
{Ed025's Note - i think we are all the same Mike, we dont always agree with Dyche on his team but once they cross that white line we are all rooting for them mate, im not a fan of Young or Keane but once they wear that blue shirt i am praying for them to do well (actually Young has done well the last 2 games), a win today would be massive but they are a decent team and a draw would not be the end of the world i feel mate...i just want us to move up the league so i can breathe easy and enjoy my golf tomorrow without my red mates giving me stick.. :)

Henrique Carmo from Sao Paulo the latest to be linked.
Know nothing about the kid but had a little watch of him. He has brilliant feet and ball control. Perhaps most surprising, especially as he is a winger, is his intelligence to play the ball and find the right option rather than hold onto it.
Would much rather be linked to the likes of this lad and Minteh than some bang average wingers we have been in recent windows. This new approach certainly looks a lot better.

We spent about 45m and made about 80m. Onana was on about 120k a week in wages.
We will have flexibility to spend in January, especially with us moving into the new stadium next season which will increase turnover. Hopefully Dom's wages will be gone and we get rid of Keane and Doucoure's too
If Friedkin is in by Jan, then we will spend. He did the same at Roma and they were in a pickle financially too. He is not going to do anything to jeopardise us as he seems an astute businessman.
We are the lowest spenders in the league for the last 5 seasons. I think Big Al even said we will spend in January and I trust what he posts tbf. He is usually spot on and doesn't butter the fans up with what they want to hear.

Well I believe that a number of things have to happen before we have a new manager. The takeover has to be completed. The potential new Manager has to want to manage Everton. Whoever the new owner wants has to be available. It may also depend on what results we get before the takeover is complete, if SD wins all of the games (unlikely) then he may hang on until the season ends.
One possibility is that Moshiri will agree to a management change before the takeover is complete. Not sure about the legalities of that happening.
{Ed002's Note - Obviously there is no legal issue if anything were to happen to the manager before the take over is completed.}

If by the end of the takeover Dyche has them playing and in a better position in the league (hopefully) . Then it would make sense to leave him in charge to the end of the season. Now i'm no Dyche fan, but changing halfway through the season with a manager who has a different style could be dangerous. So if things are going ok then leave him there.
Why? Because this would give the club time to get the next manager right. It would give the new man time to discuss targets and look at what he already has. And don't forget Dyche's contract runs out in the summer.
So new season, new ground, new owner, hopefully new start.

Yes I agree BB but if we continue to lose games because SD insists on playing Young and Keane and making stupid substitutions that lead to losing points from a winning position then something will have to be done sooner. Maybe even the end of this year maybe too late. Still not sure what the options are for changing manager before the takeover is completed. Can't see Moshiri doing anything so we can only hope that the results start improving so no action is required. What's so galling is that we could have seven points instead of one with better management of the games played.

Looking like Freidkin will be our new owner according to reports.
{Ed002's Note - Friedkin wants to build a multi-club group like a number of others, but having both Roma and Everton would be difficult if both qualified for the same European competition. It would also cut out Bell and Downing and the club would still have to deal with the £1.2B in debt less the MSP debt which would need to be paid before any takeover can take place - I would steer clear of him due to the mess at Roma, but he may make the best cash offer and that will attract Moshiri.}

Of the three possible owners, who in your opinion could offer the best long term financial stability ed002?
{Ed002's Note - The problem is paying off more than £1B in debt and that will be a worry to whoever takes on the club. The advantage of Driedkin is that £200M of debit immediately goes away and if he can restructure the remaining debt much of it can then be secured against the new stadium.}

Whilst the debt is a massive issue, would hope that someone who is already involved in football taking over us may be able to figure out ways on how to get on top of it and start running the club like a football club.
Whilst Moshiri has almost delivered us a state of the art stadium, the rest of his tenure has been painful and has highlighted how little he knew of the world of football and how easily he was advised in most cases poorly in terms of recruitment and managerial appointments.
However all the blame can’t be laid at his feet, bill Kenwright should shoulder a large proportion of the responsibility of the mess we’re in.
Hopefully we’ll start to be run properly and can start the long and slow road to recovery.
