Shame. He’s one of our only saleable assets that I wouldn’t be fussed about leaving. Would have helped balance the books a little.

Why we would still have to buy another keeper.

I have no doubt we could get another keeper much cheaper than what we could get for Pickford, who performs at a similar level. I’m over Pickford, think he’s overhyped and acts like a bit of an idiot.

Having watched the last 2 games - he does seem a bit more sensible and level headed without a crowd, I think he plays up to the crowd and gets carried away.

However would happily replace him as he is rash at times and not sure what his obsession with trying to punch clear rather than catch the ball.

I noticed his concentration levels and match discipline has improved a lot with no fans.

But surely if we could get another keeper who is just as good but a lot cheaper, then Chelsea would buy him?
We need to keep our best players if we want to be successful, whether we like them or not is irrelevant.

You’re right liking them or not is irrelevant, however I did also say I think he’s overhyped, so also means I don’t rate him.

He’s a young lad who got a lot of attention.
He’s a very good keeper and will get better and better with experience. Stick with the lad I say. We’ve got enough players that need clearing out, some consistency is good.

Not a position we want to be filling for next season, plus I know Pickford has his faults but we ain’t getting anyone as good as him for under 50m.
